To ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage to the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10, please follow these guidelines:

Keep the bottle out of reach of infants and small children to prevent scalding or injury.

Always clean the bottle thoroughly after every use to prevent rusting, perforation, or spoiled contents.

Always close the stopper tightly to prevent beverages from spilling and ensure the spout is closed after pouring.

Do not use the bottle if it loses its heat retention properties, as the outside may become very hot.

Consume beverages within the same day to prevent spoiling and gas pressure buildup which could cause the stopper to burst.

Do not place cans or bottles inside the main body as they may deform or damage the product.

Do not remove the sticker on the bottom of the main body to avoid rusting or perforation.

Do not drink out of the bottle while driving to avoid distractions, accidents, and scalding.

Do not heat the product in a microwave or place it near heat sources like gas stoves or ovens.

Do not disassemble the main body of the bottle.

When filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10, you must leave 1cm (1/2-inch) of room at the top. Leaving this space prevents contents from overflowing when the stopper is placed. It also prevents the spout from becoming difficult to open or beverages from getting caught in the stopper and leaking out.

When the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10 contains hot liquids, follow these safety measures:

Tilt the product slowly when pouring to avoid splashing and scalding.

Do not shake the bottle, as doing so may cause burns or injuries.

Always use the cup when drinking hot beverages; never drink directly out of the bottle.

If the stopper becomes difficult to remove due to pressure, press the button to open the spout and release the pressure before attempting to remove the stopper. Do not use force to remove it.

Do not open the spout while the bottle is close to your face or tilted toward you, as pressure may cause hot liquid to spew out.

After pouring, stand the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10 upright and wait 2 to 3 seconds before closing the spout. This allows any excess liquid to drain back. Wipe off any remaining liquid on the cup before closing, and always store the bottle upright when carrying it inside a bag to prevent leaks.

To protect the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10 from damage and malfunction, avoid filling it with the following:

Dry ice and carbonated drinks: These can cause pressure to build up, making the spout difficult to open or causing the stopper and cup to burst.

Liquids containing salt, such as soup: Although the liner is stainless steel, salt can cause rust and loss of thermal insulation.

Dairy products and fruit juice: If left for long periods, these can spoil and produce gas that may cause the stopper to burst.

Fruit pulp and tea leaves: These can get caught in the stopper and cause the bottle to leak.

Clean the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10 after each use according to these instructions:

Outside Main Body: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge. Rinse, shake a few times, and wipe dry. If the model includes carrying straps, remove them before washing.

Cup and Stopper: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Detach gaskets after each use for thorough cleaning and remember to reattach them afterward. Rinse and wipe dry.

Inside Main Body: Fill with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid. Close the stopper and pour the water out through the spout several times to clean the internal mechanism. Remove the stopper, wash the interior with a soft sponge, rinse, and wipe moisture out to dry.

Carrying Strap: Soak a soft cloth in warm water and dishwashing soap, wring it well, and wipe the strap clean.

When caring for your ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10, do not use the following:

Do not soak the product.

Do not use paint thinner, benzine, metal wire scrub brushes, or scrubbing brushes that include abrasive cleansers.

Do not use polishing powders, cleansers, or melamine sponges.

Do not use chlorine-type bleach, as it may cause rusting or perforation on the inner surface and spring.

Do not use a dishwasher or dish-dryer. Do not boil the parts to sanitize them, as this can cause deformation.

To remove rust spots or water stains caused by impurities in the water: Fill the bottle with hot water mixed with 10% vinegar. Let it stand for 30 minutes to an hour without the stopper attached, then wash the interior thoroughly.

To remove coffee and tea stains: Use Zojirushi cleaning detergent (SB-ZA01/SB-ZA01E, sold separately). Always remove the stopper when using this detergent. While some stains may not be completely removed, they have no negative effect on the bottle’s performance.

The technical specifications for the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS10 are as follows:

Retention testing is conducted at a room temperature of 20 degrees Celsius (plus or minus 2 degrees) with the body filled to below the stopper. Heat retention starts at 95 degrees Celsius (plus or minus 1 degree). Cold retention starts at 4 degrees Celsius (plus or minus 1 degree).

A rattling noise may be heard when the product is shaken. This comes from the copper or aluminum foil used in the vacuum insulation to increase heat and cold retention. This noise is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.

Steam may burst out if the bottle is filled with hot beverages and the air inside expands, building up internal pressure. To prevent this, when filling the bottle with hot beverages, close the stopper while keeping the spout open. Wait approximately 20 seconds before closing the spout.
