Before using the VOX MS – 5030 electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed:

1. Read all instructions.

2. Before using, check that the voltage of the wall outlet corresponds to the one shown on the rating plate.

3. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a hazard.

5. Always disconnect the blender from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.

6. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or hot surface.

7. Do not immerse the upper part of the blender in water as this would give rise to electric shock.

8. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is being used near children or infirm persons.

9. Avoid contacting moving parts.

10. Keep hands and utensils out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but must be used only when the blender is not running.

11. The appliance cannot be used for chopping ice or blending hard and dry substances; otherwise, the blade could be blunted.

12. To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade on the base without first putting the bowl properly in place.

13. Make sure the chopper lid is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.

14. The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons.

15. Do not operate the appliance for other than its intended use.

16. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

17. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

18. Save these instructions.

19. Before removing the lid from the jar, release the button and unplug the appliance; wait until the blades have come to a complete stop.

20. The use of an accessory not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons.

21. Always remove the blade assembly before pouring contents from the jar.

22. Make sure to switch off the appliance after each use. Make sure the motor stops completely before disassembling.

23. The metal blades are extremely sharp; please handle carefully.

24. Always hold the blade stem instead of the cutting edge when handling and cleaning the blade.

25. Be aware of potential injury from misuse.

The VOX MS – 5030 hand blender consists of the following components:

Low and high speed switch: Controls the blending speed.

Motor unit: The main body of the blender containing the motor.

Detachable stem: The blending shaft that contains the blade. Turn it anti-clockwise to lock with the motor unit, and in the opposite direction to unlock.

Blade: Located at the end of the detachable stem for blending.

Cup: A 700ml container ideal for taking measurements and preparing small quantities of processed food.

The chopper accessory for the VOX MS – 5030 is used for chopping meat and making garlic paste. It includes:

Motor unit: Turn the motor unit clockwise to lock it with the chopper lid.

Detachable chopper lid: Turn it anti-clockwise to lock with the chopper bowl, and in the opposite direction to unlock.

Detachable chopping blade: The edge of the blade is very sharp. Handle with care to avoid any cuts. Always handle the plastic shaft.

Bowl (MAX – lever): Place food into it before attaching the chopper lid.

The beater accessory for the VOX MS – 5030 is for mixing egg white. The components are:

Motor unit: Turn the motor unit clockwise to lock it with the beater.

Whisk: It is used to whisk egg whites, which can be made into cream.

Before first use, clean the blender. The unloaded appliance running time must not exceed 15 seconds. Ensure the hand-held blender is unplugged before assembling or removing attachments as the blades are very sharp.

The maximum running duration per use should be less than 1 minute, with a 3-minute rest time between two consecutive cycles.

1. To assemble the detachable shaft with the motor unit, turn the shaft anti-clockwise until tightened. To disassemble, turn it in the opposite direction.

2. Plug the hand-held blender into a power outlet.

3. Put the hand-held blender into the food and then press and hold either the low-speed button or the high-speed button to start operating.

4. To stop the blender, release the low-speed or high-speed button.

5. For example, when blending a banana, cut it into small pieces, place it into a small jar, then add milk. The maximum quantity of carrot can’t exceed 280g, and water 420g, in every blending.

The maximum operation duration per time for the chopper should be less than 15 seconds, and a 3-minute rest time must be maintained between two consecutive cycles.

1. Place the chopper bowl on a clean, level surface.

2. Assemble the stainless chopping blade into the chopper bowl.

3. Place food into the chopper bowl.

4. Attach the lid onto the chopper bowl, making sure the tuber on the inside wall of the bowl aligns with the groove of the lid. Then put down and press the lid until it locks into position. The lid will spring up when you don’t press it, allowing you to remove it.

5. Insert the motor unit into the hole of the chopper lid and press the motor unit to lock. The motor unit will spring up when not pressed, allowing for removal.

6. Lower the hand-held blender into the food. Then press and hold the low-speed button or high-speed button to start operating.

7. To stop the appliance, release the low-speed or high-speed button on the motor unit.

8. After finishing chopping, unplug the power outlet first. Then remove the motor unit from the chopper lid by turning it anti-clockwise. You can then take up the motor unit and lid cover.

Caution:

– To reduce the risk of injury, never place the cutting blade on the base without first properly positioning the bowl.

– Make sure the chopper lid is securely locked in place before running the appliance.

– For safety during or after chopping, you shall disassemble the motor unit from the chopper lid first and then remove the chopper lid. Never remove the chopper lid with the motor unit in place.

The maximum operation duration per time cannot exceed 1 minute, and a 3-minute rest time must be maintained between two consecutive cycles.

1. To assemble the egg white beater with the motor unit, turn the whisk anti-clockwise until tightened. To disassemble, just turn it in the opposite direction.

2. Simply plug the hand-held blender into a power outlet.

3. Place egg white into the cup; generally, two egg whites are enough.

4. Lower the hand-held blender into the food. Then press and hold the low-speed button or high-speed button to start operating.

5. To stop the hand-held blender, release the low-speed or high-speed button on the motor unit.

1. Unplug the appliance and remove the detachable stem.

Note: Do not immerse the detachable stem of the blender in water because over time the lubrication on the bearings may wash away.

2. Wash the detachable blending rod under running water, without the use of abrasive cleaner or detergents. After cleaning, place it upright so that any water that may have gotten in can drain out. The rod is a dishwasher-safe component.

3. Wash the jar, bowl, beater, and blade in warm soapy water. The bowl and the beater are not recommended to be placed in the dishwasher as the plastic component deteriorates through prolonged use of dishwasher cleaning.

4. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in water for cleaning as an electric shock may occur.

5. Dry thoroughly.

Caution: Blades are very sharp, handle with care.

Quick cleaning:

Between processing tasks, hold the hand-held blender in the cup half-filled with water and turn it on for a few seconds.
