First, ensure your phone is compatible. Start the ignition of your VOLKSWAGEN JETTA 2013, which will put the system into discovery mode for three minutes. On your phone, search for new Bluetooth devices and select VW PHONE. A connection will be established automatically.

Start the ignition to put the Bluetooth system into discovery mode. Search for new devices from your phone’s Bluetooth menu and select VW PHONE. When a connection request appears on the RNS 315 touchscreen, press PAIR. When a six-digit PIN appears on your phone, press YES on the display, then press PAIR on your phone.

Press the microphone button on the steering wheel until you hear a chime. When the system says Main menu, you can use commands.

To call by name, say Call followed by the contact name. The system will repeat the request; say Yes if it is correct.

To redial, say Redial after the beep.

For help, say Help after the beep and follow the prompts.

When the Bluetooth system interrupts the car stereo with a ringtone, press the phone button located on the multi-function steering wheel.

Press AM, FM, or SAT to select the desired band. Use the tuning knob at the lower right to find a station. Press and hold any preset station soft key until you hear a confirmation beep. The new station will be saved.

First, pair your compatible Bluetooth device. Press the MEDIA hard key, then press the BT-Audio soft key. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS, and NEXT TRACK soft keys to navigate your music.

Press the NAV hard key, then tap the flag icon on the touchscreen to enter an address. Enter the state, city, street, and number. If you are unsure of the number, you can enter the state, city, and street, then press the List soft key to display the street. Confirm the address and press the START soft key to begin your route.

While in the Navigation screen, press the SETUP hard key. Choose ROUTE OPTIONS, then choose ROUTE CRITERIA. You can then change the default setting from Fast to Economic or Short.

For AM/FM stations: Turn the center knob to the desired station, then press and hold the knob. When the preset soft keys appear, press and hold a preset soft key until you hear a confirmation tone.

For SiriusXM channels: Press the Station List soft key, turn the center knob to your channel, and press the knob to select it. Press the Save soft key, and then press a preset soft key to save the channel.

Ensure your iPod is Generation Four or newer and connect it to the MDI cable in your VOLKSWAGEN JETTA 2013. Audio will play through the speaker system. To choose a song, press the LIST soft key and then the UP soft key. To display the category list, press the UP soft key again.

Ensure your iPod is Generation Four or newer and connect it to the MDI cable. Press the MEDIA hard key, then press the MEDIA-IN soft key until the external audio device appears in the display. Use the Selection soft key to choose a song, or the folder icon at the upper left of the screen to display categories. To return to the main screen, press the Back soft key.

Plug your media device into the auxiliary jack. For the Premium VIII system, press the SETUP hard key, press the MEDIA soft key, press the Enable AUX Input soft key, and then press the MEDIA hard key. For the RNS 315 system, press the MEDIA hard key and then press the media-specific soft key.

Locate the cruise control stalk on the left side of the steering column and turn the switch to the ON position. A speedometer icon will appear in the multi-function display. When you reach your cruising speed, press the rocker switch at the end of the stalk towards SET/-. A green CRUISE light will appear in the instrument cluster.

To cancel, press the brake pedal or turn the switch on the top of the stalk to CANCEL. The CRUISE light will go off. To resume your speed, press the rocker switch up, towards RES/+.

To increase your speed, press the rocker switch up, towards RES/+. To reduce your speed, press the rocker switch down, towards SET/-.

Turn the temperature dial to MAX, and turn the fan speed to 4. The air recirculation light will turn on automatically. Turn the vent dial to the designated setting. Once the desired temperature is reached, you can turn the fan speed down.

Turn the temperature dial all the way to the right. Turn the fan speed to 3. Turn the vent dial to the windshield defrost setting. The AC light will turn on automatically to help dehumidify the air.

Turn the temperature dial all the way to the right, turn the fan speed to 3, and turn the vent dial to the panel setting.

Pull up on the handle located under the driver seat, rock forward or back to a comfortable position, and release the handle to lock the seat in place.

Use the lever beneath the left side of the seat. Pull up to raise the seat, or push down to lower the seat.

Lift the lever located on the lower rear of the seat and lean forward or back to adjust the seat angle. Release the lever to lock the seat back into position.

There are three ways to open the trunk:

1. Press and hold the trunk button on the key fob.

2. Pull the trunk release button located on the driver door.

3. Press the unlock button on the key fob twice, then press the large microswitch button located above the license plate and lift slightly.

Grab the recessed handles located near the outer corners of the trunk interior and pull the trunk down.

Check all tires and inflate them to the correct pressure as displayed on the sticker on the driver door jamb. Do not use the number on the tire itself. After inflating to the proper pressure, turn the ignition on and press the SET button inside the glove compartment for at least two seconds. You will hear a beep and the TPMS light will go off.
