Before operating the SONY CDX-4160 for the first time or after replacing the car battery, you must reset the unit. To do this, press the reset button with a pointed object, such as a ball-point pen. The reset button is located on the front of the unit, hidden by the front panel.

Notes:

• Pressing the reset button will erase all the memorized program and memory functions.

• After connecting the power supply or resetting the unit, wait for about 10 seconds before inserting a disc. If you insert a disc within this time, the unit will not reset, and you will have to press the reset button again.
