What are the overall system installation steps for the SOLAX POWER GATEWAY-ECC-PLC?

1. Install the PV modules and microinverters (refer to the user manual or installation guide of microinverter).

2. Complete the installation map (refer to the user manual or installation guide of microinverter).

3. Install and power on ECC (refer to the user manual or installation guide of ECC) and ECC-PLC.

How do I install the SOLAX POWER GATEWAY-ECC-PLC?

Method 1 (Wall Mounting):

1. Use the device to mark the hole positions on the wall.

2. Drill holes with a Ø6 drill to a depth of more than 40 mm.

3. Insert the expansion tubes into the holes.

4. For wooden wall mounting, please skip steps 2 and 3.

5. Screw the self-tapping screws into the expansion tubes. (Torque: 0.5 N·m).

6. Mount the buckles on the back of the ECC-PLC to the self-tapping screws.

Method 2 (Rail Mounting):

1. Mount the buckles on the back of the ECC-PLC to the guide rail.

NOTICE: The rail refers to a rail in the distribution box (with lock) to be wired or a rail in a space that only professional personnel can open.

NOTICE: After installation, please use a cover to cover the device in case of touch by mistake. The device shall be used indoors.


How do I perform the RS485, CT, and power cable connections for the SOLAX POWER GATEWAY-ECC-PLC?

RS485 Connection:

1. Strip 5-6 mm of insulation from the RS485 cable wires, then twist the exposed strands.

2. Insert the wires into the G, A, and B terminals of the plug-in terminal and tighten the screws. (Torque: 0.4±0.1 N·m).

3. After this step, please refer to the ECC User Manual or Installation Guide to connect the ECC-PLC to the RS485-1 port of the ECC.

CT Connection:

Connect the white and black lines of the consumption and production CTs to the corresponding ports as specified in the tables below and tighten the screws (Torque: 0.4±0.1 N·m).

How do I create a site and configure the WiFi for the SOLAX POWER GATEWAY-ECC-PLC?

Before starting, please make sure that the A1-Micro 1 in 1, ECC, and ECC-PLC have been connected as a system.

Step 1: Download APP.

Scan the QR code in the manual to download the SolaXCloud App.

Step 2: Register an account and log in.

Open the app and follow the prompts to register a new account or log in with existing credentials.

Step 3: Add a site.

In the SolaXCloud app, navigate to add a new site. Enter the required information such as System Size, Country and region, Timezone, and Position. Agree to the terms and click Next.

Step 4: Bind ECC in the added site.

Select the ECC device to add. Ensure the AP hotspot status light on the ECC is on. If not, turn on the AP hotspot according to the diagram in the app. Click “already open ECC hotspot” and then “Next”. Scan the QR code on the device or enter the registration number manually.

Step 5: Configure network for ECC.

Once the device is found, the app will ask to connect to the device’s Wi-Fi. Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and connect to the network named like “WIFI_XXXXXXX”. Return to the app. The app will then ask you to select your home 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The app will then proceed through several connection steps: Device hotspot connection, Device communication detection, Connect the device to the router, and Device registration in the cloud. Once successful, click “Finish”.

NOTICE: After ECC configuration succeeds, the connected ECC-PLC will show on the Gateway list. Remember to switch your phone back to your home WiFi for subsequent operation.

Step 7: Bind A1-Micro devices.

Enter the Device Detail interface for the ECC. Click “Manage sub devices” and then “Collecting sub devices” to bind the A1-Micro 1 in 1 devices. The sub-devices will appear in the list.

Step 8 & 9: Check data and graphics.

After binding, click on “Chart” from the Device Details screen to see more detailed information. From the Chart screen, you can see total devices and their status. You can click “Expand” on a specific microinverter to check its live data and performance graphics, such as Power(W), Voltage(V), Current(A), and Temperature(°C).
