What are some important hints for using the SENNHEISER HD 40?

Before putting on the SENNHEISER HD 40 headphones, switch on your HiFi equipment first. This prevents your ears from being exposed to high sound pressure levels if the volume control is set to its highest setting.

Please be aware that listening to audio at a very high volume for a long period of time may lead to hearing damage.

How should I use the TV versions of the SENNHEISER HD 40?

If the volume on the SENNHEISER HD 40 TV version is too low, even with the headphone’s volume controls set to maximum, please increase the volume on your TV set itself.

How do I clean my SENNHEISER HD 40 headphones?

For the Ear pads:

1. Remove the ear pads from the headphone.

2. Wash with a soft detergent at a maximum of 30°C. Rinse well. Squeeze out the water and press the pads dry with a cloth.

3. Hang them up to dry completely and then re-fit the pads to the headphone.

For the Headphones:

To clean the hard plastic parts, use a cloth slightly dampened with water and a mild household detergent.
