Your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset can save up to eight paired devices and connect to two simultaneously.

Connecting via the BTD 800 Dongle (pre-paired):

The dongle and headset in the bundle are already paired.

1. Turn the headset on.

2. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer.

3. The dongle LED flashes blue while searching and switches to dimmed blue when connected successfully.

Manually pairing the headset and dongle:

1. Press and hold the headset’s Power button and the dongle’s button until the LEDs on both devices alternately flash blue and red.

2. Once connected, the dongle lights up dimmed blue.

Pairing with a mobile device via Bluetooth:

1. Press and hold the Power button on the headset for 4 seconds until the LED flashes blue and red. The headset is in pairing mode.

2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and start the search for Bluetooth devices.

3. Select “EPOS ADAPT 560” from the list of found devices to establish a connection.

4. The headset LED will flash blue twice when a device is found, and then the LED turns off.

To use your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset as a wired device, connect the supplied USB cable to the USB-C socket on the headset and a USB socket on your computer.

Turning On:

1. Press the Power button for 2 seconds.

2. The headset turns on, and the LED flashes blue. It will automatically try to connect to available paired Bluetooth devices.

3. The LED flashes blue twice when it finds a device to connect to, then the LED turns off. If no paired device is found, the LED flashes red.

Turning Off:

1. Press the Power button for 2 seconds.

2. The LED flashes red 3 times and turns off. All volume settings are saved automatically.

For the best sound quality and comfort with your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II:

1. Put the headset on so the headband runs over the top of your head.

2. Ensure the side with the ‘R’ marking rests on your right ear.

3. Adjust the headset so that:

• your ears are comfortably covered by the ear pads.

• you feel even, gentle pressure around your ears.

• a snug fit of the headband on the head is ensured.

The SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset has three independent volume settings:

1. Call volume: during an active call

2. Audio volume: during audio streaming

3. Volume for ring tone, tones, and voice prompts: in idle mode

To adjust the volume, press the upper part of the Multifunction button to increase volume or the lower part to decrease volume. You will hear a beep or double beep when you reach the maximum or minimum volume level. You can also adjust the volume on your connected device.

You can mute the microphone on your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II in two ways:

1. Rotate the boom arm up to mute or down to unmute.

2. Press the Power button to mute or unmute the microphone.

To activate or deactivate Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset, double-press the Settings button. You can use ANC even when the headset is disconnected from any device, as long as the battery is sufficiently charged and the headset is turned on.

TalkThrough allows you to communicate with colleagues without removing your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset, even when ANC is on. When activated, audio playback will be paused or muted.

To activate or deactivate TalkThrough, press the Settings button once. This function requires ANC to be turned on.

Making a call:

• Initiate the call on your connected device.

• OR, press the Hook button to initiate a call via your softphone.

Accepting / Rejecting / Ending a call:

When you receive a call, you hear a ring tone and the LED flashes blue.

• To accept or end a call: Press the Hook button.

• To reject a call: Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second.

Holding a call:

• To put an active call on hold or to resume it: Press the Hook button.

Redialing:

• To redial the last number: Double-press the Hook button.

• To cancel redialing: Press the Hook button.

To activate the voice assistant (like Siri or Google Assistant) or voice dial on your connected device using the SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II:

1. Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second.

2. To cancel the voice assistant/voice dial, press the Hook button.

You can manage two calls simultaneously with your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset. If you receive a second call during an active call, a knock-on tone will be played.

Accepting / Rejecting a second call:

• To accept the incoming call and end the active call: Press the Hook button.

• To accept the incoming call and put the active call on hold: Double-press the Hook button.

• To reject the incoming call and continue the active call: Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second.

Toggling between calls / Ending an active call:

• To toggle between the active call and the held call: Double-press the Hook button.

• To end the active call and make the held call active: Press the Hook button.

1. Plug the BTD 800 dongle into the USB port of your computer.

2. If Microsoft Teams is running, the dongle’s LED will change from blue to purple automatically.

Checking Microsoft Teams notifications:

The dongle LED pulses purple to indicate a Meeting Join Notification, Voice Mail Notification, or Missed Call Notification. To check these notifications on your screen, press the Hook button on the headset.

Activating and using Microsoft Cortana:

1. Press the Hook button. The Dongle LED will flash purple while activating Cortana.

2. The LED will light up solid purple, indicating Cortana is ready to use.

You can control audio playback from a connected Bluetooth device using the Multifunction button on your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II. The LED on the dongle will light up blue during playback.

• Play/Pause audio: Press the Multifunction button once.

• Play next track: Double-press the Multifunction button.

• Fast-forward track: Double-press and hold the Multifunction button.

• Play previous track: Triple-press the Multifunction button.

• Rewind track: Triple-press and hold the Multifunction button.

If you receive and accept a call, audio playback is paused and restarts after the call, if supported by the connected device.

1. Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB-C socket of the headset and a USB socket of your computer.

2. The battery will begin charging. The LED indicates the battery status and turns off when fully charged.

To stop charging, disconnect the USB cable from the headset. If the battery is flat, the headset will turn off automatically.

You can check the remaining battery power at any time, except when you are in a call.

1. Press the Settings button.

2. The LED flashes briefly, and a voice prompt announces the remaining battery power.

When the battery power drops below 20%, the LED flashes red and the voice prompt “Recharge headset” is announced several times.

To avoid nicks or scratches on your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II headset:

1. Fold the ear cups inwards towards the headband.

2. Store the headset in the provided case when not in use or when carrying it. Keep it in a clean and dry environment.

If you do not use the headset for extended periods, charge the built-in battery every 3 months for about 1 hour.

The Bluetooth range for the SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II is up to 25 meters, depending on environmental conditions.

• If audio quality deteriorates or the link breaks, re-enter the radio range of the Bluetooth device.

• If you re-enter the Bluetooth range within 5 minutes, the connection will be re-established automatically.

• If the connection is lost for more than 5 minutes, you must manually re-establish the connection by tapping the Multifunction button.

To enable or disable voice prompts on your SENNHEISER EPOS ADAPT 560 II, ensure the headset is in idle mode (no active call or audio playback).

1. Press and hold the Settings button for 4 seconds.

2. The headset will announce a voice prompt for “on” or “off”.

If voice prompts are deactivated, you will hear tones instead.

Cleaning the headset:

CAUTION: Liquids can damage the electronics of the product. Keep all liquids far away from the product and do not use any cleansing agents or solvents.

• Only use a dry cloth to clean the product.

Replacing the ear pads:

For hygienic reasons, you should replace the ear pads from time to time. Spare ear pads are available from your EPOS partner.

1. Carefully remove the old ear pad from the ear cup.

2. Insert the fixation band of the new ear pad into the space on the ear cup. Ensure the stitched line is facing the bottom.

To update the firmware, you need to install the free EPOS Connect software.

Updating the headset firmware:

1. Connect the headset to your computer using the USB cable. The LED lights up.

2. Start EPOS Connect. If a new firmware is available, the software will guide you through the update process.

Updating the dongle firmware:

1. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer. The LED lights up.

2. Start EPOS Connect. If a new firmware is available, the software will guide you through the update process.

Clearing the pairing list of the headset:

1. Press and hold the Power button until the LED flashes blue and red to enter pairing mode.

2. Simultaneously press the Multifunction button and the Power button.

3. The LED flashes blue 3 times. The pairing list is cleared, and the headset will automatically search for Bluetooth devices to pair with.

Clearing the pairing list of the dongle:

1. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer.

2. Press and hold the dongle button until the LED flashes blue and red.

3. Double-press the dongle’s button.

4. The LED flashes purple 3 times. The pairing list is cleared, and the dongle will automatically search for Bluetooth devices to pair with.
