The dongle and the headset in the bundle are already paired. To connect:

1. Turn the headset on.

2. Plug the BTD 800 USB-C dongle into the USB port of your computer.

The dongle LED flashes blue while searching and switches to dimmed blue when connected successfully to the headset. If Microsoft Teams is invoked, the dongle connects to Teams and lights up purple instead of blue.

To manually pair the headset and the dongle, activate the pairing mode for both:

Press and hold the headset’s Power button and the dongle’s button until the LEDs on both devices alternately flash blue and red. Once the dongle and the headset are connected, the dongle lights up dimmed blue.

1. Press and hold the Power button on the headset for 4 seconds until the LED flashes blue and red. The headset is now in pairing mode.

2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and start the search for Bluetooth devices.

3. Select “EPOS ADAPT 360” from the list of found devices to establish a Bluetooth connection. Note: The headset model name might appear as “EPOS ADAPT 360” in the Bluetooth list.

4. The headset LED will flash blue 2 times once it finds a device to connect to, and then the LED will turn off.

To cancel pairing at any time, press the Power button.

Windows usually changes the Audio settings automatically when you connect a new headset. If the headset is connected but you hear no sound:

1. Right-click the Audio icon in the system tray.

2. Under “Output”, select “ADAPT 360” as the speaker.

3. Under “Input”, select “ADAPT 360” as the microphone.

To turn on:

Press the Power button for 2 seconds. The headset turns on, the LED flashes blue shortly, and it automatically tries to connect to available paired Bluetooth devices. The LED flashes blue 2 times when it connects and then turns off. If no paired device is found, the LED flashes red.

To turn off:

Press the Power button for 2 seconds. The LED flashes red 3 times and turns off. All volume settings are saved automatically.

For good sound quality and wearing comfort, adjust the headset as follows:

1. Put the headset on so that the headband runs over the top of your head and the side with the ‘R’ marking rests on your right ear.

2. Adjust the headset so that your ears are comfortably covered by the ear pads, you feel even, gentle pressure around your ears, and there is a snug fit of the headband on your head.

You can adjust three independent volume settings:

1. Call volume: during an active call.

2. Audio volume: during audio streaming.

3. Volume for ring tone, tones and voice prompts: in idle mode.

To adjust, press the Volume button to increase or decrease the volume. You will hear a beep for a normal press, or a double beep when you reach the maximum or minimum volume. You can also adjust the volume on your connected device.

Press the Power button once to mute or unmute the microphone. You will hear a voice prompt confirming the action.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):

ANC reduces ambient noise. To use it, the headset must be turned on with sufficient battery.

• To activate or deactivate ANC, press the Power button twice.

TalkThrough:

TalkThrough allows you to hear your surroundings and communicate with colleagues without removing the headset, even with ANC on. Audio playback will be paused or muted.

• To activate or deactivate TalkThrough, press the Power button once. This function is only available when ANC is turned on.

Making a call:

• Initiate the call on your connected device, or press the Hook button to initiate a call via your softphone.

Accepting, rejecting, or ending a call:

• When you receive a call, you hear a ring tone and the LED flashes blue.

• To accept or end a call, press the Hook button once.

• To reject a call, press and hold the Hook button for 1 second.

Holding a call:

• To put an active call on hold or to un-hold a call, press the Hook button twice.

Redialing:

• To redial the last number, press the Hook button twice.

• To cancel redialing, press the Hook button once.

You can manage two calls simultaneously from up to two connected Bluetooth devices. If you receive a second call during an active call, a knock-on tone will be played.

Accepting a second incoming call:

• To accept the incoming call and put the active call on hold: Press the Hook button twice.

• To accept the incoming call and end the active call: Press the Hook button once.

Rejecting a second incoming call:

• To reject the incoming call and continue the active call: Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second.

Toggling between calls:

• To toggle between the active call and the held call: Press the Hook button twice.

Ending a call when one is on hold:

• To end the active call and make the held call active: Press the Hook button once.

First, ensure the BTD 800 dongle is plugged into your computer’s USB port.

Microsoft Teams:

• Start Microsoft Teams on your computer. The dongle will connect, and its LED will change from blue to purple.

• The dongle’s LED will pulse purple to indicate a Meeting Join Notification, Voice Mail Notification, or Missed Call Notification.

• To check these notifications on your screen, press the Hook button on the headset.

Microsoft Cortana:

• You can activate and use Cortana with the headset.

• Press the Hook button. The dongle LED will flash purple while activating Cortana.

• When the LED lights up solid purple, Cortana is ready to use.

Use the Media control button on the right earcup:

• Play/Pause: Press the button once.

• Next Track: Slide the button forward.

• Previous Track: Slide the button backward.

• Fast-Forward: Slide the button forward and hold it.

• Rewind: Slide the button backward and hold it.

If you receive and accept a call, audio playback is paused and restarts after the call, if supported by the connected device.

Use the audio cable when the battery is low or when Bluetooth is not allowed. Bluetooth immediately turns off once the audio cable is connected.

1. Insert the small 2.5 mm jack plug into the audio socket of the headset.

2. Turn the plug clockwise until it locks into place.

3. Connect the 3.5 mm jack plug to the audio output of your mobile device.

To disconnect the audio cable, turn the 2.5 mm plug counterclockwise to unlock it and pull it out of the headset. Then pull the 3.5 mm plug out of your mobile device. The headset will automatically try to reconnect to available paired devices.

Note: You can still use Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) when the audio cable is connected.

To charge, connect the supplied USB cable to the USB-C socket on the headset and a USB socket on your computer. The LED lights up to indicate the charging status and turns off when the battery is fully charged. To end charging, disconnect the USB cable.

Charging LED Status:

Some mobile devices may indicate the battery status of the headset directly on their screen.

Alternatively, you can retrieve the battery information at any time (except during a call):

• Press both Volume buttons simultaneously.

The LED will flash briefly and a voice prompt will announce the remaining power.

Battery Power LED Indication:

To avoid nicks or scratches on the headset:

1. Fold the ear cups inwards towards the headband.

2. Store the headset in the provided case when not in use or when carrying it around. Keep it in a clean and dry environment.

If you do not use the headset for extended periods, it is recommended to charge the built-in rechargeable battery every 3 months for about 1 hour.

The Bluetooth transmission range is up to 25 meters with a free line of sight, but depends on environmental conditions. If audio quality deteriorates or the connection breaks down, you have left the Bluetooth range.

• If you re-enter the Bluetooth transmission range within 5 minutes, the connection will be re-established automatically.

• If you re-enter the range after more than 5 minutes, the connection breaks down completely. You must manually re-establish the connection by tapping the Hook button on the headset.

Reconnecting Bluetooth:

Tap the headset’s Hook button or the dongle’s button. The headset will flash blue twice when it finds a device to connect to. The dongle will flash blue and then light up dimmed blue.

Disconnecting Bluetooth:

Double-tap the dongle’s button. Bluetooth will be disconnected, and the dongle’s LED will flash red 3 times.

Note: Connecting the audio cable to the headset automatically deactivates Bluetooth.

While the headset is in idle mode (no active call or audio playback):

• Press and hold both Volume buttons for 4 seconds until the headset announces a voice prompt for “on” or “off”.

If the voice prompts are deactivated, you will hear tones instead.

Cleaning the headset:

• Keep all liquids far away from the product.

• Do not use any cleansing agents or solvents.

• Only use a dry cloth to clean the product.

Replacing the ear pads:

For hygienic reasons, you should replace the ear pads from time to time. Spare ear pads are available from your EPOS partner.

1. Carefully remove the old ear pad from the ear cup.

2. Insert the fixation band of the new ear pad into the space on the ear cup. The stitched line on the band should face downwards.

To update the firmware, you need the free EPOS Connect software installed on your computer.

Updating the headset firmware:

1. Connect the USB cable to your headset and your computer. The LED will light up.

2. Start EPOS Connect. If new firmware is available, the software will guide you through the update process.

Updating the dongle firmware:

1. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer. The LED will light up.

2. Start EPOS Connect. If new firmware is available, the software will guide you through the update process.

If the headset cannot be turned on, the rechargeable battery is likely empty. Please recharge the headset battery.

There are two possible reasons:

• The rechargeable battery is empty. Recharge the headset battery.

• The headset is turned off. Turn the headset on, then press the Power button twice to activate ANC.

Please check the following possible causes and solutions:

• Headset not paired: Pair the headset with a Bluetooth device.

• Volume too low: Increase the volume on the headset.

• Headset turned off: Turn the headset on.

• Audio cable not secured: If using the cable, insert the plug and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.

• Incorrect audio device on computer: Change the audio settings of your computer to select the headset as the audio device.

Please check the following:

• Audio cable connected: The audio cable deactivates Bluetooth. Disconnect the audio cable.

• Headset not paired: Pair the headset with your Bluetooth device. Ensure the devices are a maximum of 20 cm apart during pairing.

• Bluetooth turned off on mobile device: Turn Bluetooth on in your device’s settings.

• Incompatible profile: Check if your Bluetooth device supports the HF (Hands-Free) or HS (Headset) profile.

If the dongle or Microsoft Teams is disturbed, try the following:

• Unplug and plug the dongle in again.

• Re-start the Teams application on your device.

The voice prompts have been disabled. To re-enable them, press and hold both Volume buttons for 4 seconds while the headset is in idle mode.

If you are experiencing software or hardware problems, try these steps:

1. Turn the headset off and on again.

2. Unplug and plug in the dongle again.

3. If the problem persists, clear the pairing list of the headset.

4. As a final step, clear the pairing list of the dongle.

1. Put the headset in pairing mode: Press and hold the Power button until the LED flashes blue and red.

2. Simultaneously press the Media control button and the Power button.

3. The LED flashes blue 3 times. The pairing list is cleared. The headset will immediately start searching for Bluetooth devices to pair with.

1. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer.

2. Press and hold the button until the LED flashes blue and red to enter pairing mode.

3. Double press the dongle’s button.

4. The LED flashes purple 3 times. The pairing list is cleared. The dongle will immediately start searching for Bluetooth devices to pair with.
