The LED indications on the EPOS ADAPT 360 headset provide information about its status. Once the headset is successfully connected, the LED goes off.

The BTD 800 dongle and the EPOS ADAPT 360 headset in the bundles are already paired. To connect, follow these steps:

1. Turn the headset on.

2. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer.

The dongle LED will flash blue while searching and then switch to a dimmed blue light when successfully connected to the headset. If Microsoft Teams is invoked, the dongle will light up purple instead of blue.

To manually pair the headset and the dongle:

Press and hold the headset’s Power button and the dongle’s button until their LEDs alternately flash blue and red. Once connected, the dongle’s LED will light up dimmed blue.

1. Press and hold the Power button on the EPOS ADAPT 360 for 4 seconds until the LED flashes blue and red. The headset is now in pairing mode.

2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device and start the search for Bluetooth devices.

3. Select “EPOS ADAPT 360” from the list of found devices to establish a Bluetooth connection.

The headset LED will flash blue 2 times once it finds a device to connect to, and then the LED will turn off. To cancel pairing, press the Power button.

The free EPOS Connect software allows you to configure and update your EPOS ADAPT 360 headset and offers additional settings.

1. Download the software from the official eposaudio.com/connect page.

2. Install the software. You may need administrator rights on your computer. If necessary, contact your IT department.

To make calls via the computer, you may also need to install a softphone (VoIP Software) or ask your admin for support.

Windows usually changes the audio settings automatically when you connect a new headset. If the EPOS ADAPT 360 is connected but you hear no sound:

1. Right-click the Audio icon in your system tray.

2. Under the output device selection, select ADAPT 360 as the speaker.

3. Under the input device selection, select ADAPT 360 as the microphone.

Turning the headset on:

Press the Power button for 2 seconds. The headset will turn on, the LED will flash blue shortly, and it will automatically try to connect to available paired Bluetooth devices. The LED flashes blue 2 times as soon as the headset finds a device to connect to. The LED then turns off. If no paired device is found, the LED flashes red.

Turning the headset off:

Press the Power button for 2 seconds. The LED will flash red 3 times and then turn off. All volume settings are saved automatically.

For good sound quality and the best possible wearing comfort, adjust the EPOS ADAPT 360 headset as follows:

1. Put the headset on so that the headband runs over the top of your head.

2. The side with the ‘R’ marking should rest on your right ear.

3. Adjust the headset so that:

• Your ears are comfortably covered by the ear pads.

• You feel even, gentle pressure around your ears.

• A snug fit of the headband on the head is ensured.

The EPOS ADAPT 360 has three independent volume settings:

1. Call volume: during an active call

2. Audio volume: during audio streaming

3. Volume for ring tone, tones and voice prompts: in idle mode

To adjust the volume, press the Volume button to increase or decrease the level. You will hear a beep for a normal press, or a double beep when you reach the maximum or minimum volume. Alternatively, you can adjust the volume on your connected device.

1. Initiate a call on your connected device to someone who can help you find the correct volume setting for your microphone.

2. Change the microphone volume in your softphone application and/or in your PC’s audio application until the other person can hear you clearly.

Muting the microphone:

Press the Power button once to mute or unmute the microphone. You will hear a voice prompt or tone.

Using Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):

Press the Power button twice to activate or deactivate ANC. ANC can be used even when the headset is disconnected from a device, as long as the battery is charged and the headset is on.

Turning TalkThrough on/off:

When ANC is turned on, press the Power button once to activate or deactivate TalkThrough. This feature allows you to communicate with colleagues without removing the headset. Audio playback will be paused or muted.

The following functions depend on the connected device:

Making a call:

• Initiate the call on your connected device.

• OR: Press the Hook button to initiate a call via your softphone.

Accepting an incoming call:

When you receive a call, you hear a ring tone and the LED flashes blue. Press the Hook button once to accept the call.

Rejecting an incoming call:

Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second to reject the call.

Ending a call:

Press the Hook button once to end the call.

Putting a call on hold (pause):

Press the Hook button twice to put an active call on hold. Press it twice again to unhold the call.

Redialing:

Press the Hook button twice to redial the last number. To cancel redialing, press the Hook button once.

Using the voice assistant / voice dial:

Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second to activate your device’s voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant) or voice dial. To cancel, press the Hook button once.

You can use the EPOS ADAPT 360 with up to two connected Bluetooth devices and manage two calls simultaneously. If you receive a call during an active call, a knock-on tone will be played.

Accept / reject second call:

• To accept the incoming call and put the active call on hold: Press the Hook button once.

• To accept the incoming call and end the active call: Press the Hook button twice.

• To reject the incoming call and continue the active call: Press and hold the Hook button for 1 second.

Toggle between calls / end active call:

• To toggle between the active and held call: Press the Hook button twice.

• To end the active call and make the held call active: Press the Hook button once.

To use Microsoft Teams and Cortana with the EPOS ADAPT 360:

1. Plug the BTD 800 dongle into the USB port of your computer. If Microsoft Teams is already running, the blue LED on the dongle changes to purple automatically.

Invoking Microsoft Teams and checking notifications:

• Start Microsoft Teams on your computer. The dongle connects and the LED changes to purple.

• The dongle LED will pulse purple to indicate a Meeting Join Notification, Voice Mail Notification, or Missed Call Notification.

• To check these notifications on your screen, press the Hook button.

Activating and using Microsoft Cortana:

• Press the Hook button. The dongle LED will flash purple while activating Cortana.

• The LED will light up solid purple when Cortana is ready to use.

Use the Media control button on your EPOS ADAPT 360 headset to control audio playback from a connected Bluetooth device. The LED on the dongle will light up blue during playback.

If you receive and accept a call, audio playback is paused and restarts after the call, if supported by the connected device.

Use the audio cable for playback when the battery is low or when Bluetooth transmission is restricted. Bluetooth turns off immediately once the audio cable is connected.

To connect the audio cable:

1. Insert the small 2.5 mm jack plug into the audio socket of the headset.

2. Turn the plug clockwise until it locks into place. Bluetooth will be deactivated.

3. Connect the 3.5 mm jack plug to the audio output of your mobile device.

To disconnect the audio cable:

1. Turn the plug counterclockwise to unlock it and pull it out of the headset.

2. Pull the plug out of your mobile device. The headset will automatically try to connect to available paired Bluetooth devices.

You can still use Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) as usual when the audio cable is connected.

Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB-C socket of the headset and a USB socket of your computer. The battery will begin charging, and the LED will light up to indicate the battery status. The LED turns off when the battery is fully charged. When the battery is flat, the headset turns off automatically.

To end charging, simply disconnect the USB cable from the headset.

Some mobile devices may indicate the battery status of the EPOS ADAPT 360 directly on their screen.

You can also retrieve information on the remaining battery power at any time (except while you are in a call) by pressing both Volume buttons simultaneously. The LED will flash shortly and a voice prompt will announce the remaining power.

When the battery power drops below 20%, the LED flashes red and a “Recharge headset” voice prompt is announced several times.

To avoid nicks or scratches on the EPOS ADAPT 360 headset:

1. Fold the ear cups inwards towards the headband.

2. Store the headset in the provided case when not in use or when carrying it around. Keep it in a clean and dry environment.

If you do not use the headset for extended periods, it is recommended to charge the built-in rechargeable battery every 3 months for about 1 hour.

The Bluetooth transmission range is up to 25 meters with a free line of sight, but depends on environmental conditions like wall thickness. If the audio quality deteriorates or the connection breaks down completely, re-enter the radio range of the Bluetooth device.

• If you re-enter the Bluetooth transmission range within 5 minutes, the connection is re-established automatically.

• If the connection has been broken for more than 5 minutes, you must manually re-establish the connection by tapping the Hook button on the headset.

Reconnecting Bluetooth:

Tap the headset’s Hook button or the dongle’s button. The headset flashes blue 2 times as it finds a device to connect to. The dongle flashes blue and then lights up dimmed blue.

Disconnecting Bluetooth:

Double tap the dongle’s button. Bluetooth will be disconnected, and the dongle’s LED will flash red 3 times.

Note: Connecting the audio cable to the headset automatically deactivates Bluetooth.

To enable or disable voice prompts, ensure the headset is in idle mode (no active call or audio playback). Press and hold both Volume buttons for 4 seconds until the headset announces a voice prompt for “on” or “off”.

If voice prompts are deactivated, you will hear tones instead of prompts for notifications.

Cleaning the product:

CAUTION: Liquids can damage the electronics of the product. Keep all liquids far away from the product and do not use any cleansing agents or solvents. Only use a dry cloth to clean the product.

Replacing the ear pads:

For hygienic reasons, you should replace the ear pads from time to time. Spare ear pads are available from your EPOS partner.

1. Carefully remove the old ear pad from the ear cup.

2. Insert the fixation band of the new ear pad into the space on the ear cup, ensuring the stitched line faces towards the bottom.

To update the installed firmware, you first need to install the free EPOS Connect software.

Updating the firmware of the headset:

1. Connect the USB cable to your headset and your computer. The LED lights up.

2. Start EPOS Connect. If there is new firmware available, the software will guide you through the update process.

Updating the firmware of the dongle:

1. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer. The LED lights up.

2. Start EPOS Connect. If there is new firmware available, the software will guide you through the update process.

1. Press and hold the Power button until the LED flashes blue and red, putting the headset in pairing mode.

2. Simultaneously press the Media control button and the Power button.

The LED will flash blue 3 times. The pairing list is now cleared, and the headset will immediately start searching for Bluetooth devices to pair with.

1. Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer.

2. Press and hold the button until the LED flashes blue and red to enter pairing mode.

3. Double press the dongle’s button. The LED flashes purple 3 times. The pairing list is now cleared, and the dongle will immediately start searching for Bluetooth devices to pair with.

If the headset cannot be turned on, the most likely cause is that the rechargeable battery is empty.

• Solution: Recharge the headset battery.

If the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) cannot be turned on, check the following:

• Cause: Rechargeable battery empty. Solution: Recharge the headset battery.

• Cause: Headset turned off. Solution: Turn the headset on. Press the Power button twice to activate ANC.

If you experience no audio or audio drop outs, check the following possible causes and solutions:

• Cause: Headset not paired with a Bluetooth device. Solution: Pair the headset.

• Cause: Volume adjusted too low. Solution: Increase the volume.

• Cause: Headset turned off. Solution: Turn the headset on.

• Cause: Audio cable’s jack plug not twisted in. Solution: Insert the plug and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.

• Cause: On a computer, the headset is not selected as the audio device. Solution: Change the Audio settings of your computer to select the EPOS ADAPT 360.

If you are having trouble connecting your EPOS ADAPT 360 via Bluetooth, try these solutions:

• Cause: Audio cable is connected (this deactivates Bluetooth). Solution: Disconnect the audio cable.

• Cause: Headset is not paired. Solution: Pair the headset with a Bluetooth device. Keep a maximum distance of 20 cm between the devices while pairing.

• Cause: Your Bluetooth device does not support the required profiles (HF or HS). Solution: Check if your Bluetooth device supports the HF or HS profile.

• Cause: Bluetooth is turned off at the mobile device. Solution: Turn Bluetooth on.

• Cause: Dongle is not plugged in. Solution: Plug the dongle into the USB port of your computer.

If the dongle or Microsoft Teams seems to be disturbed, try the following steps:

• Unplug and plug the dongle again.

• Re-start the Teams application on your device.

If you hear beeps instead of voice prompts, it is because the voice prompts feature has been disabled.

• Solution: Enable the voice prompts. To do this, press and hold both Volume buttons for 4 seconds while the headset is in idle mode.

If there is a software or hardware problem causing the device to be unresponsive, try these steps:

• Turn the headset off and on again.

• Unplug and plug in the dongle again.

• Clear the pairing list of the headset (Reset).

• Clear the pairing list of the dongle (Reset).
