The SENCOR STS 2700WH appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers.

Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and under supervision. Keep this appliance and the power cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age.

Children must not play with the appliance.

Please read carefully and store for future use. The following safety instructions should be followed:

Connection and Placement:

• Before connecting, check that the technical details on the appliance label match the electrical voltage in your socket.

• Connect the appliance only to a grounded socket.

• This appliance is designed for household use only. Do not use it in industrial surroundings or outdoors.

• Do not place the appliance on or near an electrical or gas stove, or in the vicinity of an open flame.

• Always place the appliance on an even, dry, and stable surface.

Operation:

• Do not use the appliance for any other purposes than those intended.

• To prevent electric shock, do not submerge any part of the appliance in water or any other liquid.

• Ensure sufficient area for air circulation above and around the appliance during operation. Warning! Bread may catch fire, so do not use the appliance near flammable materials such as curtains, wipes, or wooden surfaces.

• Do not heat bread products directly on the toasting slots or place other objects on them, as this can block air circulation and cause a fire.

• The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high during operation. Do not touch hot surfaces near the toasting slots.

• Do not use the appliance without a crumb tray. The tray must be cleaned regularly to prevent crumb accumulation.

General Safety:

• Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power socket when unattended, not in use, and before cleaning.

• Allow the appliance to cool down completely before moving, cleaning, or storing it.

• Store the appliance out of children’s reach.

• Disconnect the appliance by gently pulling the plug, not the power cord.

• Ensure the power cord does not hang over the edge of a table or touch a hot surface.

• Do not use the appliance if it has a damaged power cord/plug, is not working correctly, has been dropped, damaged, or submerged in water. Have all repairs done at an authorized service center.

This toaster is designed to toast bread products such as bread, toast bread, bread rolls, buns, bagels, etc. Other ingredients could cause a fire or injury, so do not use the toaster to toast foods containing sugar, marmalade, or canned fruit, for example cakes, pies, etc.

Warning! Never attempt to take out a jammed piece of bread or any other bread product using a knife or another metal object. This could lead to injury by electrical shock or damage the appliance.

If the bread product becomes jammed in the toaster opening, turn off the toaster and disconnect the power cord from the socket. Allow the toaster to cool down and then carefully remove the jammed bread product.

The main parts of the toaster are:

1. Toaster opening for inserting bread products

2. Control lever with the “High Lift” function for lifting smaller bread products

3. DEFROST button for toasting frozen bread products

4. REHEAT for repeated heating of a toast

5. Electronic toasting intensity dial

6. STOP button to immediately stop operation

7. Crumb tray (not shown, located in the bottom part of the toaster)

Before first use, the toaster must be started empty at least three times for the maximum toasting time to remove any potential odours. After this initial process, you can begin toasting bread.

1. Before use, take the appliance and its accessories out of the packaging material.

2. Connect the toaster to a power socket. Insert a slice of toast bread, slice of bread, or half a roll, etc. into the toasting slot. Ensure the bread product size is appropriate and does not project out of the toaster. Bread slices must not be too thick to avoid getting jammed.

3. Set the toasting level using the dial, in the range of 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest). For first use, it is recommended to set the middle toasting intensity. You can choose a different level depending on the bread type and your taste.

4. Put the appliance into operation by pushing down the control lever. Note: The lever will not lock into the down position if the power cord is not connected to a socket.

5. The toaster will turn itself off and automatically eject the bread product once the set toast level is achieved. The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the STOP button.

6. To remove smaller bread products, use the “High Lift” function by lifting the control lever about 2 cm above its initial position.

7. Disconnect the toaster from the socket after use and allow it to cool down.

The defrost function is used for toasting frozen bread products.

1. Insert frozen bread products into the toasting slots and set the desired toasting level.

2. Push the control lever down until it becomes secured in the lower position.

3. Press the DEFROST button. The DEFROST button will light up.

4. The toaster will automatically eject the bread products at the end of the toasting process.

Note: The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the STOP button.

This function makes it possible to reheat toast without further toasting.

1. Insert toasts into the toasting slots.

2. Push the control lever down until it is secured in the lower position.

3. Press the REHEAT button. The REHEAT button will light up.

4. The toaster will automatically eject the bread products at the end of the reheating process.

Note: The toasting process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the STOP button.

Before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the power socket and allow it to cool down.

Removing Crumbs:

• To remove crumbs from the tray, hold the toaster above a rubbish bin. Open the tray, remove the crumbs, and then close the tray again. Clean the crumb tray regularly to prevent accumulation, which could lead to a fire.

• To remove crumbs from inside the toaster, turn the toaster upside down and shake out the crumbs above a rubbish bin.

Cleaning the Exterior:

• Wipe the outside parts of the toaster with a dry or lightly damp cloth and then wipe dry. Ensure that water or dampness does not get inside the toaster.

• Do not use cleaning products causing abrasion, petrol or solvents. To prevent potential injury by electric shock, do not submerge any part of the appliance under water or any other liquid.
