WARNING: Always turn off the electrical power supply to the PREMIUM PBO6524DM appliance prior to servicing it. Failure to disconnect the power supply during service may result in an electrical shock or fire hazard.

Additionally, the control panel, power supply, and relay board assemblies contain electronic components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). It is recommended to wear a properly grounded antistatic wrist strap when handling or servicing these printed circuit assemblies.

The following tools are recommended for servicing your PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven:

ELECTRICAL PLIERS or STRIPPERS: For cutting and stripping small electrical wire.

VOM (VOLT-OHM METER): For testing electrical circuits. An inexpensive one with “AC Voltage” and “Resistance” (Rx1, Rx10) settings will suffice.

BUTT CONNECTORS, CRIMPERS, WIRE NUTS and ELECTRICAL TAPE: For splicing small wire. When splicing wires on the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven, you must use high-temp connections, such as porcelain wire nuts, high-temp terminals, and fiberglass insulated wire.

ALLIGATOR JUMPERS: Sometimes called a “CHEATER” or “CHEATER WIRE”.

SCREW-DRIVERS: Both flat and Phillips head; two or three sizes of each. It’s best to have at least a stubby, 4- and 6-inch sizes.

NUT-DRIVERS, WRENCHES: You will need a 1/4 to 1/2 inch size.

WARNING: Do not attempt to disengage the hinge locks on the door while it is removed from the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven, as the hinge springs could release and cause personal injury. Do not lift or carry the oven door by the door handle.

To remove the door:

1. Open the oven door completely.

2. Pull the hinge locks forward on both hinges until they stop.

3. Raise the door so that it is at a 15° angle from the front of the oven.

4. Hold the door with one hand on each side and lift the door up and out.

WARNING: Be sure that the notch on the bottom of each hinge rests on top of the lower lip of EACH hinge receptacle before attempting to open the oven door. Failure to do so may cause the door to fall off its hinges, resulting in personal injury or damage to the PREMIUM PBO6524DM.

WARNING: Rotate the hinge locks toward the front of the oven immediately after installation. Failure to do so may cause the door to fall off its hinges.

To install the door:

1. Grasp the oven door on opposite sides and hold it at a 15° angle from the front of the oven.

2. Slide the hinges into the hinge openings, resting the bottom of the hinge arms on the lower lip of the hinge receptacles. Continue to hold the door at a 15° angle with one hand while pushing in on each of the bottom corners of the door. Push until the notch on the bottom of each hinge slips over the lower lip of each hinge receptacle.

3. Lower the door to the fully opened position.

4. Rotate the two hinge locks toward the oven.

5. Open and close the door completely to ensure that it is properly installed.

WARNING: Use an appliance dolly to move the PREMIUM PBO6524DM to minimize the risk of personal injury from the oven tipping. Hold the oven steady when removing it from the wall. Do not use the door or door handles to lift, carry, or move the oven.

NOTE: Not all service procedures require that the oven be removed from the wall. Determine if removal is necessary for your specific task.

1. Remove the oven door(s). This will reduce the lifting load and provide a place to grip the oven.

2. Remove the mounting screws that hold the oven in place. The screws are located inside the door jams on the trim posts on both sides of the oven.

3. Remove the oven racks from the oven.

4. Pull the oven out of the wall toward you, using the gripping points (the front frame of the oven cavity) and side handles. Hold it steady as you pull. Service procedures may require the oven to be pulled completely out of the wall.

To replace the door handle on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM:

1. First, remove the oven door.

2. Lay the door on a flat, padded surface with the hinges facing up.

3. Remove the screws in the bottom edge of the door.

4. Grasp the door with one hand and pull up. Pull the door handle out from underneath.

5. Remove the screws in the outer glass of the door that secure the handle.

To reinstall the door handle:

1. Grasp the door with one hand and pull up. Hold the new handle in position on the front.

2. Lower the door onto the padded surface.

3. Replace the screws in the top corners of the door and tighten into place. Do not over-tighten the screws, because the front door glass could crack.

4. Reinstall the oven door on the PREMIUM PBO6524DM.

To prevent personal injury, use gloves when handling glass components that are broken or shattered.

1. Remove the oven door from the PREMIUM PBO6524DM.

2. Lay the door on a flat, padded surface with the hinges facing up.

3. Remove the screws in the bottom edge of the door. The outer screws on the bottom of the door are part of the hinge assembly.

4. Grasp the top end of the door with one hand and pull up. Pull the door handle out from underneath.

5. Holding the door tightly with both hands, turn it over and place it on the flat, padded surface with the front door glass facing up.

6. At this point, if the door gaskets or hinges require replacement, replace them while the front door glass is removed.

7. Before reassembly, make sure that the door spacers in the top corners of the door are still in place before putting the front door glass back into place.

8. Holding the door tightly with both hands, turn it over and place it on the flat, padded surface with the door gasket facing up.

9. To reinstall the door handle, grasp the top end of the door with one hand and pull up. Hold the handle in position on the front. Lower the door onto the padded surface.

10. Replace the screws in the bottom end of the door and tighten into place. Do not over-tighten the screws because the door glass could crack.

11. Reinstall the oven door.

WARNING: Turn off the electrical power supply to the PREMIUM PBO6524DM before this procedure. The control panel contains components sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD), so wear a properly grounded antistatic wrist strap.

To remove the control panel:

1. Remove the oven from the wall.

2. Remove the screws from the top of the oven, located immediately behind the control panel.

3. Grab the sides of the control panel with both hands and pull it forward with a gentle rocking motion until it comes loose from the front of the oven.

4. Disconnect the wires from the back of the control panel printed circuit board assembly.

To reinstall the control panel:

1. Reassemble the control panel in the reverse order of removal.

2. When connecting wires to the new control panel, match the location markings on the connectors to the locations marked on the printed circuit board.

3. Install the control panel in its original position and replace the screws that hold it in place.

4. Reinstall the oven door(s).

5. Test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven to ensure that repairs were properly completed.

This procedure applies to some models of the PREMIUM PBO6524DM.

1. First, remove the control panel.

2. Remove the screws that hold the oven controller in place.

3. Remove both of the display flex connectors from the sockets on the back of the oven controller board.

4. Pull the oven controller off the back with a gentle rocking motion.

5. Remove the display from the back of the board.

WARNING: Turn off the electrical power supply to the PREMIUM PBO6524DM before this procedure.

1. Remove the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven completely from the wall.

2. Remove the screws from the back cover. Some of the screws that hold the cover in place are located around the sides.

WARNING: Turn off the electrical power supply to the PREMIUM PBO6524DM before this procedure.

To remove the convection baffle:

1. Remove the oven door(s).

2. Remove the oven racks from the oven chamber.

3. Remove the convection filter by lifting it up and out.

4. Remove the screws that hold the convection baffle in place. The screws are located near the four corners of the baffle at the back of the oven.

5. Remove the convection baffle.

To reinstall the convection baffle:

1. Install the convection baffle against the back wall of the oven.

2. Replace the mounting screws that hold the baffle in place.

3. Reinstall the oven door(s).

4. Test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven to ensure that repairs were properly completed.

To remove the convection element:

1. After removing the convection baffle, hold the convection element with one hand and turn the nut clockwise with a wrench to remove it.

2. Grasp the convection element at the base and pull it out slowly with a gentle, rocking motion. Do not pull the element out too quickly, as the connecting wires could pull free inside the oven wall.

3. Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the element and remove it from the oven.

To replace the convection element:

1. Place the new convection element in the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven and attach the wires to the terminals.

2. Grasp the convection element at the base and push it slowly back into place with a gentle rocking motion.

3. Replace the mounting nut that holds the convection element in place.

1. To remove the convection fan, hold it with one hand and turn the nut clockwise with a wrench.

2. When replacing the fan, make sure that the washer is installed behind the fan blade before replacing the fan.

3. Use a wrench to tighten the nut counter-clockwise.

To remove the motor:

1. Remove the convection fan blade from inside the oven.

2. Remove the back cover of the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven.

3. Disconnect the power wires connected to the fan motor.

4. Remove the screws that hold the convection fan motor in place.

To reinstall the convection fan assembly:

1. Place the convection fan motor against the back wall of the oven with the electrical terminals facing up.

2. Attach the fan motor to the back of the oven using the existing screws.

3. Attach the fan motor wires to the terminals on the fan motor.

4. Reinstall the convection fan blade and reinstall the convection baffle, ensuring it is in the correct orientation.

5. Replace the back cover.

6. Reinstall the oven door(s).

7. Test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven to ensure repairs were properly completed and reinstall the oven.

IMPORTANT: The bake element wires must be properly labeled so that they can be connected to the same terminal when the element is replaced. If the wires are not properly connected, the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven will not function properly. When removing it from the oven, do not hold the bake element assembly by the wires, as this may damage the terminals.

1. Remove the oven door(s) and the back cover.

2. Replace the mounting screws that hold the bake element in place.

3. If replacing the bake element, pull it up and out of the floor of the oven. Label the wires that connect to the bake element terminals.

4. When reconnecting the wires, make sure they are connected to the proper terminal.

5. When reassembling, place the bake element inside the bake element frame and place it over the top of the bake element in the floor of the oven.

6. Hold the bake element frame in place with one hand while replacing the existing screws that hold it in place.

7. Reinstall the oven door(s) and test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven.

IMPORTANT: The broil element wires must be properly labeled so that they can be connected to the same terminal when the element is replaced. If the wires are not properly connected, the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven will not function properly. Do not hold the broil element assembly by the wires, as damage to the terminals may result.

1. Remove the oven door(s) and the oven racks.

2. Holding the broil element assembly in place with one hand, remove the screws that hold it in place.

3. Gently lower the broil element out of the ceiling of the oven chamber.

4. Label the wires that connect to the broil element.

5. Gently remove the broil element wires from the terminal block on the broil element assembly.

6. To reassemble, use the existing screws. Place the broil element into the oven chamber.

7. Lift the back of the element up and reconnect the broil element wires to the terminals, ensuring they are connected to the proper terminals.

8. Insert the broil element assembly into the hole in the oven ceiling while pushing the broil element wires into the access hole toward the back.

9. Hold the broil element assembly in place with one hand while replacing the existing screws.

10. Reinstall the oven door(s) and test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven.

WARNING: To prevent scratching of the oven and wall, replace the rack support only in the manner specified below.

1. Remove the oven door(s) and oven racks.

2. Remove the screws that hold the rack support (on the appropriate side) in place. Be careful not to scratch the inside surface of the oven when removing it.

3. To remove the temperature sensor, remove the screws that hold it in place.

4. Pull the wires attached to the sensor gently toward you through the hole in the back of the oven to expose the connector. Do not pull hard on the wires. Use a screwdriver, if necessary, to move the insulation around behind the hole to allow the connector to slide out.

5. Disconnect the temperature sensor wires at the connector and remove the sensor.

6. To reinstall, gently push the connector and excess wire through the access hole and insulation at the back of the oven.

7. Tighten the new temperature sensor into place with the existing mounting screws.

8. To reinstall the rack support, insert the end with the two vertical bars first at a 45° angle to the sidewall, placing the bars behind the temperature sensor. Rotate the rack support into place, matching the four protruding pins to the holes in the oven wall. Mount it with the existing screws.

9. Reinstall the oven door(s) and test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven.

WARNING: Accessing the cooling fan requires removal of the top panel, exposing printed circuit assemblies. Wear a properly grounded antistatic wrist strap.

1. Remove the top panel of the PREMIUM PBO6524DM by removing the screws that hold it in place.

2. Remove the screws at the base of the blower. Remove the cooling fan assembly.

To reinstall the cooling fan assembly:

1. Inspect the new fan first. The fan blades must be straight and not dented to avoid vibration when spinning.

2. Line up the screw holes on the blower with the mounting holes in the exhaust ducts. Insert the existing screws into the holes and tighten into place.

3. Connect the power wires to the terminals on the cooling fan.

4. Replace the top cover.

5. Reinstall the oven door(s).

6. Test the PREMIUM PBO6524DM oven to ensure repairs were properly completed.

If the time of day is not set, the display on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM will be blank or incorrect. You need to set the clock. Refer to your use and care manual for instructions on setting the clock.

If the oven lights on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM do not work, it could be for one of two reasons:

1. The oven is in the SELF CLEAN cycle. You must wait for the completion of the self-clean cycle.

2. The light bulb(s) are burned out. In this case, you will need to replace the light bulb(s).

If the door on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM will not open, it is likely because the oven is in a SELF CLEAN cycle or has recently finished one and is still cooling down. Check the display:

1. If the display indicates SELF CLEAN, wait for the display to indicate “Door Unlocked” to open the door.

2. Check the display for a “DOOR LOCKED OVEN COOLING” message and wait for it to clear.

If the cooling fan on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM will not turn off, this is related to the oven being in a SELF CLEAN cycle or cooling down after one. Check the display:

1. If the display indicates SELF CLEAN, wait for the cycle to complete.

2. Check the display for a “DOOR LOCKED OVEN COOLING” message. The fan will run until the oven has cooled sufficiently.

A broken outer or inner door glass on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM is often due to shipping damage, placing a cold item on hot glass, or an item being dropped on the window pack. In these cases, the door glass assembly or window pack will need to be replaced. Please call for service.

The ‘Er-1’ (Temperature sensor open circuit), ‘Er-2’ (Temperature sensor short circuit), and ‘Er-3’ (Meat probe short circuit) error codes on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM indicate that all loads have stopped working. To resolve this, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the power to the PREMIUM PBO6524DM. Wait 1 minute, then turn the power back on and check if the error code is still displayed.

2. If the error persists, turn off the power again. Open the oven to check if the wire connection for the sensor is good. Reconnect the wires well if they are loose.

3. If the problem is not resolved, you may need to change the sensor or the PCB display board.

The ‘Er-4’ error code on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM means the oven center temperature is higher than 300°C. The software logic has canceled the cooking mode and returned the oven to standby. The door lock is activated, and the cooling fan is working in high speed, then it will change to low speed and stop.

To resolve this:

1. Press the CANCEL button to see if the error code clears.

2. Close the oven door, wait about 10 minutes to allow the oven’s center temperature to cool down, and then press the CANCEL button again.

The ‘Er-5’ error code on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM indicates an issue during the Pyrolytic mode. It means that 10 minutes after the oven center temperature reached 200°C, the temperature is still lower than 270°C, causing the oven to return to standby mode.

To resolve this:

1. Press the CANCEL button to see if the error code clears.

2. Close the oven door, wait about 10 minutes to allow the oven’s center temperature to cool down, and then press the CANCEL button again.

The ‘Er-6’ error code on your PREMIUM PBO6524DM indicates a door lock failure during Pyrolytic mode. Specifically, if the oven center temperature is higher than 300°C and the door lock has not engaged within 2 minutes of the cycle starting, all heating elements will be stopped, and the relay will stop working.

To resolve this:

1. Press the CANCEL button to see if the error code clears.

2. Close the oven door, wait about 10 minutes to allow the oven’s center temperature to cool down, and then press the CANCEL button again.
