What are the rules for safe operation of the PELONIS FT30-16J table fan?
1. This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized service facility.
2. Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard the fan or return it to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
3. Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route the cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from the traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
4. The fan should be used under the rated voltage.
5. Connect power after the fan is fully assembled.
6. Never insert fingers, pencils, or any other object through the guard when the fan is running.
7. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, when moving the fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
8. Disconnect the fan when removing grilles for cleaning.
9. Be sure the fan is on a stable surface when operating to avoid overturning.
10. DO NOT use the fan in a window. Rain may create an electrical hazard.
How do I assemble the base of the PELONIS FT30-16J table fan?
1. Match the locking tab to the base and click it into position.
2. Turn the lock bolt clockwise to secure the base.
How do I assemble the blade and guard for the PELONIS FT30-16J?
1. Take the Spinner out from the bag, then remove the plastic nut by turning it counterclockwise.
2. Set the rear guard in the proper position with the handle up.
3. Screw on the plastic nut tightly to attach the guard.
4. Install the blade onto the shaft until the retaining pin fits into the notch on the blade.
5. Screw the spinner on to the motor shaft counterclockwise.
6. Mount the Front Guard and join both Guards together using the Clips.
How do I operate my PELONIS FT30-16J table fan?
Speed control
Speed is controlled by the button switch with the following settings:
0 – Off
1 – Low
2 – Medium
3 – High
Oscillation control
To make the fan oscillate, push down on the oscillation knob located on the top of the motor housing. To stop the fan from oscillating in the position desired, push on the oscillating knob once more.
Tilting control
The airflow can be adjusted upward or downward by tilting the fan head to a vertical angle as desired.
How do I replace the fuse in the plug of the PELONIS FT30-16J?
1. Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
2. Open the fuse cover. Slide open the fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the blades.
3. Remove the fuse carefully. Push the fuse from the other side or turn the fuse holder over to remove the fuse.
4. Risk of fire. Replace the fuse only with a 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse (provided with the product).
5. Close the fuse cover. Slide the fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug closed.
6. Risk of fire. Do not replace the attachment plug. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged.
Notice: When you replace the fuse, please do not operate it suddenly or overexert, or else the product will be damaged or cause an accident. When you feel it is hard to operate, please make sure you have got the right way.
What are the general maintenance instructions for the PELONIS FT30-16J fan?
The fan requires little maintenance. Do not try to fix it by yourself. Refer it to qualified service personnel if service is needed.
1. Before cleaning and assembling, do not plug the pins into the socket.
2. To ensure adequate air circulation to the motor, keep vents at the rear of the motor housing free from dust, fluff and etc. A vacuum cleaner can not be used to clean these vents before unplugging. Do not disassemble the fan to remove fluff.
3. Please wipe the exterior parts with a soft cloth soaking in a mild detergent. Do not use any abrasive detergent or solvents to avoid scratching the surface. Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner, bending.
4. Do not allow water or any other liquid into the motor housing or interior parts.
How do I clean my PELONIS FT30-16J table fan?
1. Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet before cleaning.
2. Plastic parts should be cleaned with mild soap and a damp cloth or sponge. Thoroughly remove the soap film with clean water.
3. Be sure not to get water or other liquid inside the motor.
4. Dry all parts completely before reassembling and reconnecting to the power source.
