The packing list for the NEXTECH QC3900 IP Camera includes:

To reset the NEXTECH QC3900 camera, long press the “reset” hole for 5 seconds. The reset is successful when indicated.

It is recommended to insert an 8-64GB high-speed Micro SD card into your NEXTECH QC3900. Otherwise, the camera will not be able to store video, view historical video, or support important functions such as firmware upgrading.

To install the app for your NEXTECH QC3900, scan the QR code in the user manual to download and install the “Smart Life” APP. Once installed, open the app and follow the prompts to register an account and log in.

To add your NEXTECH QC3900 camera using the Scan QR Code mode, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is available and connected to the Internet.

2. Connect the camera to power and wait for the system startup to complete.

3. Open the “Smart Life” APP and press the ‘+’ in the upper right corner of the main screen.

4. Choose “Security & Sensor”, then click “Smart Camera” to add the camera.

5. Click “Next step”. Ensure the indicator on the device is flashing quickly or a prompt tone is heard.

6. Enter your Wi-Fi password. Please note that only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported. If your phone is not connected to Wi-Fi, you will be prompted to connect.

7. Click “Confirm”. You will be prompted to scan a QR code with the camera. Click “Continue”.

8. A QR code will appear on your phone’s screen. Hold the camera about 20-30 cm away from your mobile phone to scan the QR code.

9. After you hear a prompt sound from the camera, click “Heard the beep” in the app.

10. The app will begin connecting. Make sure your router, mobile phone, and camera are as close as possible.

11. When the progress reaches 100%, the connection is complete. Click “Finish”.

12. You will be taken to the live preview interface. The camera is now successfully added and will appear on the APP home page.

If you want to use AP Mode to set up your NEXTECH QC3900, press the reset button on the camera first. Then follow these steps:

1. Ensure Wi-Fi is available and your phone is connected to the Internet.

2. Connect the camera to power and wait for system startup to complete.

3. Open the “Smart Life” APP, press the ‘+’ in the upper right corner.

4. Choose “Security & Sensor”, then click “Smart Camera”.

5. On the “Add Device” screen, select “Otherwise” in the top right corner.

6. Select “AP Mode” from the list of net-pairing methods.

7. Confirm that the indicator on the device is flashing slowly or a prompt tone is heard, then click “Next”.

8. Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network password and click “Confirm”.

9. The app will prompt you to connect your phone’s Wi-Fi to the device’s hotspot. Click “Go connect”.

10. In your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, find and connect to the Wi-Fi network that begins with “SmartLife_XXXX”.

11. Return to the “Smart Life” app. The app will begin connecting the camera to your network.

12. Once the connection is complete, the screen will show “Device added successfully”. Click “Completed”.

13. You will be taken to the live preview interface. The NEXTECH QC3900 camera will now appear on the APP home page.

The video browsing interface has the following controls:

1. Preview mode

2. Monitor Switch (Sound)

3. About device (Settings)

4. SQ (Standard Quality) / HD (High Definition) switch

5. Full screen

Other on-screen buttons include Screenshot, Speak (two-way audio), Record, Playback, Direction, Alarm, and Cloud storage.

When using your NEXTECH QC3900, please note the following:

• Try to keep the camera away from metal spaces.

• Avoid placing it where furniture or a microwave oven could block the signal.

• Avoid spaces where audio, video, and data lines are wound together; keep the camera as far away from them as possible.

• Ensure the camera is as close as possible to the coverage area of your wireless Wi-Fi signal.

• If you are switching to a new network environment, press the reset hole for about 5 seconds, then connect to the new network.
