How do I charge the device?
Please follow the steps below to charge:
- Charging by connecting to the USB port of a PC or power bank.
- Recording function is available while charging with a charger or power bank.
- The red LED will be on while charging and off after fully charged. The blue light is on. Normally, it takes 1-2 hours to fully charge.
What happens when the power is low?
When the power is low, it will automatically stop recording and then power off.
What does it mean if the blue LED flashes quickly?
A quick flashing blue LED indicates that there is no Micro SD card inserted.
What does it mean if the blue and yellow LEDs both flash?
If both the blue and yellow LEDs flash, the micro SD card is full.
What happens if the device is idle (non-recording state) for 3 minutes?
After being idle for 3 minutes, the device will automatically power off.
How do I power the device on/off?
Press and hold the power key for a second or so to power on/off.
How do I record video?
In standby state, short press the “Power/ Video” key, and then the blue LED slowly flashes, which indicates the video recording state. Short press the “Power/ Video” key to stop video recording, and the blue LED will be on. The video data is saved as one AVI file every 5 minutes.
How do I record audio?
In standby state, short press the “Audio” key, and then the yellow LED slowly flashes, which indicates the audio recording state. Short press the “Audio” key to stop audio recording, and the blue LED will be on. The audio data is saved as one WAV file every 1 hour.
How do I turn on/off the status indicator?
Press and hold the “Audio” key for 1 second to turn on/off the status indicator.
How do I enable/disable motion detection?
Press and hold the “photographing” key for 1 second to enable/disable motion detection. When motion is detected by the camera, it will automatically record video for 1 minute.
How do I reset the device?
Use a thin needle to stab the reset hole to reset the device when it stops working.
How do I set the video resolution, loop video recording and time watermark?
Users can set 720P (default) or 1080P video resolution, loop video recording (enabled by default), and time watermark (enabled by default). Connect the device to a PC with a micro SD card inserted, and create a new TXT document named ‘settings’ in the root directory of the card. Input contents as ‘1,0,1’, each number is optionally 0 or 1 (The first number: 0 means 720P, 1 means 1080P. The other two are corresponding to loop video recording and time watermark; 0 means disable, 1 means enable), Save and unplug. Reboot the device, and the document will disappear after success.
What does it mean when the yellow LED indicator slowly flashes when connecting to a computer?
When connected to a computer, the yellow LED indicator slowly flashes. Now you can access the data in the card or use it as a USB camera.
How do I modify the time?
Time setting can be completed by modifying the time in the TXT file named “settime” in the root directory of the card. Save and unplug, then restart the device. Time in the file will recover to the original value.
Where should I not use the product?
Do not place or use the product in hot, cold, dusty, or humid environments.
- High humidity environments, such as bathrooms.
- Direct exposure to sunlight or similar high-temperature environments (e.g., in a car exposed to the sun).
- Close to strong magnetic fields, such as televisions, speakers, etc.
- In a strong vibration or instability location, such as on an unfixed shelf.
What security measures should I take?
- Do not attempt to disassemble this product.
- Do not put foreign matter into this product.
- Prevent the product from falling or falling into the water.
