What are the safety precautions for using the NENO SOLE breast pump?

When using your NENO SOLE breast pump, please adhere to the following precautions:

1. Always unplug the device after charging if you do not need to charge the device’s battery.

2. Do not place the product where it is in danger of falling into sinks, bathtubs or other containers.

3. The breast pump and its components are not heat resistant – keep the device away from hot surfaces and open flames.

4. Do not use the device near flammable materials.

5. The breast pump should not be left unattended when connected to a power source.

6. Never use the device if it has been dropped or otherwise damaged.

7. Do not use a device whose power cord or plug is damaged.

8. Do not use the device in the bath or shower.

9. Do not place the device under water or in other liquids.

10. Do not wash the unit under running water.

11. Do not connect the device to a power socket that has been in contact with water or other liquids.

12. If the device has been exposed to water or other liquids – do not touch the device directly, disconnect it from the power supply, switch it off and contact the manufacturer.

13. This appliance is intended for use by a single user. Use of the breast pump by more than one person carries a risk of harm to the users and voids the warranty.

14. Do not repair or modify the unit yourself.

15. Use the breast pump only as described in the instructions. Do not use the device for any other purpose.

16. Inspect all breast pump components before each use.

17. Do not heat the discharged milk in the microwave. Milk heated in a microwave can burn the baby’s face because heating with microwave waves can create high temperature bubbles in the liquid. In addition, microwave waves can change the composition of the milk.

18. Do not bring the milk to the boil while heating it.

19. Before using the breast pump for the first time, wash and disinfect all parts of the machine that will come into direct contact with your breast or milk.

20. After each use of the breast pump, wash all parts of the machine that come into direct contact with your breast or milk.

21. Take special care when using the breast pump or its accessories near children.

22. Do not use the breast pump while charging.

How should I clean and disinfect the NENO SOLE breast pump?

Washing and disinfecting are two separate operations. The parts that come into contact with milk (breast shield, membrane, valve, reducer, connector, milk container) should be washed after each use, and disinfected once a day and before first use.

A. WASHING

– Disassemble all parts of the breast pump (except the pumping device) and wash in warm soapy water for 5 minutes, then rinse. Do this immediately after using the machine to remove milk deposits and prevent bacterial growth.

– Only use drinkable tap water for washing. Use bottled water if your tap water does not meet this requirement.

– When cleaning silicone parts, do not use brushes. Be careful not to pierce them.

– Use a mild dishwashing liquid or soap.

– Allow the parts to dry naturally. Store dry appliance parts in a cool, dry place when not in use.

B. DISINFECTION (Membrane, valve, reducer, connector, breast shield, milk container)

– Fill a pot or steriliser with water so that all components are covered when placed inside. Bring the water to a boil.

– Place breast pump parts in boiling water for 10 minutes. Do not boil the parts.

– Allow the pieces to dry naturally. Store dry kit items in a cool, dry place when not in use.

C. CLEANING THE PUMPING DEVICE

– Wipe the pump unit with a soft, wet cloth and a mild dishwashing liquid/soap. Other cleaners or abrasives may damage the unit and its display.

– When not using the pump unit, store it in a cool, dry place.

How do I assemble and use the NENO SOLE breast pump?

NOTE: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching the breast pump and breast.

1. Insert the membrane into the connector.

2. Connect the valve to the connector. ATTENTION: The valve should be fixed with its longer part towards the breast shield.

3. Attach the connector with the membrane and valve to the milk container, starting by placing the membrane in the groove.

4. Place the breast shield in the milk container.

5. Attach the pumping device to the top of the milk container.

6. Place the breast shield on your breast so that the nipple is inside the drainage channel. Press the breast shield and breast pump connector against your breast using your thumb and index finger.

7. Insert the breast pump into the bra/lactation corset.

8. Turn on the breast pump by pressing the power button and select the operation mode that suits you.

9. To pour the milk, hold the breast pump horizontally and carefully unscrew the pump. Hold the milk container with the breast shield facing upwards and lay it flat on a table top (do not lay it upwards to prevent the milk from flowing out). Carefully pour the milk into a bottle/storage container.

10. Remove and clean all breast pump components after use.

NOTES:

a. Before each use, check the parts of the NENO SOLE for damage. If necessary, replace damaged parts with new ones.

b. Always check the cleanliness of components before using the unit.

c. If the diameter of the breast shield is too large, use the supplied reducer by inserting it inside.

How do the different operating modes of the NENO SOLE breast pump work?

The NENO SOLE breast pump starts in stimulation mode. You can set a comfortable suction level using the +/- buttons. The modes are:

– **Stimulation mode:** This mode features fast pumping that mimics your baby’s natural sucking to stimulate milk flow. After 2 minutes, the breast pump will automatically activate the deep pumping mode. If milk starts to flow before two minutes have passed, press the mode change button to manually switch to deep extraction mode.

– **Deep pumping mode:** This mode uses slower pumping that gently and efficiently sucks milk from the breast. In this mode, increase the suction until you feel slight discomfort (not pain) and then reduce the suction by one degree.

– **Mixed mode:** This mode mimics the baby’s sucking reflex. It can be used after pumping to help empty the breast and increase lactation.

How do I charge the NENO SOLE and understand the battery indicators?

Fully charge the NENO SOLE battery before storing it for a long period. Charge the battery before it is completely exhausted to extend its life. If the pump has been stored in a hot place, allow it to cool for one hour before use. Do not use the breast pump while it is charging.

Indications:

LO – displays if the battery level is below 20%.

Flashing dots – indicates the breast pump is charging.

Three dots glowing continuously – indicates the battery is fully charged.

When should I replace the consumable parts of my NENO SOLE breast pump?

Consumable components of the NENO SOLE are subject to natural wear and tear and should be replaced when they show cracks, deformation, tarnishing, or a distinct change in color. The replacement schedule is as follows:

• The **membrane** should be replaced every 8 weeks (if you use the breast pump 1-3 times a day) or every 3-4 weeks (if you use it more than 3 times a day).

• The **valve** should be replaced every 2-3 months (if you use the breast pump 1-3 times a day) or every 4 weeks (if you use it more than 3 times a day).

• The **breast shield and connector** should be replaced every 6 months if you use the breast pump more than 3 times a day.

How should I prepare the NENO SOLE for long-term storage?

The NENO SOLE has a built-in rechargeable battery and enters storage mode after a long period of inactivity. To deactivate storage mode, connect the device to power and charge it for 2 hours. Before you put the breast pump away for a long period of time, make sure that:

• All components of the breast pump are clean.

• You have cleaned the pumping device.

• The device’s battery is fully charged.

What should I do if my NENO SOLE device does not start?

If your NENO SOLE breast pump does not start, make sure it is plugged into a working electrical outlet. If the breast pump has no power source, its display will not turn on and no error message will appear.

How can I troubleshoot no or poor suction on my NENO SOLE?

If you are experiencing no or poor suction with your NENO SOLE, make sure all breast pump parts are positioned correctly. Take the breast pump apart and ensure all parts are clean and undamaged. Reassemble the breast pump according to the assembly instructions. When pumping, make sure the funnel is fully seated against the breast.

What should I do if more milk flows than the NENO SOLE container can hold?

If the milk overflows the container of your NENO SOLE, use a damp (not wet) cloth to wipe the breast pump. Wash the parts of the breast pump that hold milk according to the cleaning and disinfecting instructions. When all parts of the machine are dry, reassemble it.
