The MOUNT-IT MI-2761 Counterbalance Monitor Arm has the following specifications:

VESA Compatibility: 75x75mm and 100x100mm

Maximum Monitor Size: 32 inches (for both flat and curved screens)

Rated Weight Capacity: 2 to 8 kg (4.4 to 17.6 lbs)

Please adhere to the following safety guidelines for the MOUNT-IT MI-2761:

• Read the entire instruction manual before you start installation and assembly.

• CAUTION: Using this product with monitors heavier than the rated weight of 8kg (17.6lbs) may result in instability and cause possible injury.

• Improper installation may result in damage or serious personal injury. Always follow the assembly instructions closely.

• Safety gear and proper tools must be used. This product should only be installed by professionals.

• Ensure the supporting surface (like a desk) can safely support the combined weight of the monitor arm, monitor, and all attached hardware.

• Use the provided mounting screws and DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN them.

• This product contains small items that could be a choking hazard if swallowed. Keep these items away from children.

• The MOUNT-IT MI-2761 is intended for indoor use only. Using it outdoors could lead to product failure and personal injury.

You should check that the MOUNT-IT MI-2761 is secure and safe to use at regular intervals, at least every three months.

Before beginning installation, ensure that you have received all parts according to the component checklist. If any parts are missing or faulty, you should contact your place of purchase for a replacement.

WARNING: The arm has stored energy. To safely prepare it for installation, follow these steps:

1. Firmly hold the two halves of the spring arm (A) together.

2. Have another person carefully cut off the cable tie from around the spring arm.

3. Slowly release the pressure on the spring arm and allow it to gradually stretch to its full extension.

To install the arm with the desk clamp, follow these steps:

1. Attach the clamp bracket (C) to the base of the arm using the provided screws (G).

2. Attach the clamp plate (D) to the clamp bracket (C). The orientation of the clamp plate determines the compatible desk thickness:

• For desks 10-55mm thick, attach it in the standard orientation.

• For desks 50-85mm thick, reverse the clamp plate (D).

3. Slide the clamp assembly onto the edge of your desk and tighten the knob until it is secure.

4. Attach the decorative cover (E) to the back of the clamp.

This installation method is for desks 10-80mm thick with an existing hole between 10mm and 60mm in diameter. If a hole is needed, you can drill a 10mm (3/8″) hole.

1. Attach the grommet plate (F) to the base of the arm using the screws (G).

2. Insert the grommet bolt (H) through the grommet plate (F) and the arm base.

3. Place the arm base over the hole in your desk.

4. From underneath the desk, slide the grommet support plate (I) and the grommet wingnut (J) onto the grommet bolt (H).

5. Tighten the wingnut (J) until the arm is secure on the desk.

1. Identify the VESA mounting hole pattern on the back of your monitor (75x75mm or 100x100mm).

2. Place the VESA plate (B) over the mounting holes, ensuring the “TOP” indicator is facing up.

3. Select the appropriate screws from the included hardware:

• For M4 holes, use screws M-A (M4x12) or M-B (M4x16).

• For M5 holes, use screws M-C (M5x12) or M-D (M5x16).

4. Hand-tighten the screws to ensure they are not too long or too short for your monitor’s mounting depth. If the mounting surface is recessed or curved, use the provided spacers (M-E). For larger screw holes, you may need to use washers (M-F).

5. Once you have confirmed the correct screw length, securely fasten the VESA plate to the monitor.

After attaching the VESA plate to your monitor, carefully lift the monitor and slide the top of the VESA plate down onto the head of the monitor arm. Once it is seated, secure it in place by tightening the small security screw (L) on the top of the arm’s mounting head.

The MOUNT-IT MI-2761 features integrated cable management channels. You can remove the plastic covers on the underside of both sections of the arm, route your monitor cables through the channels, and then snap the covers back into place for a clean installation.

If your display does not stop at your desired vertical position, you need to adjust the spring tension to counterbalance the weight of your monitor. Use the provided 5mm Allen key (N) to turn the adjustment screw on the main joint of the arm:

• If your monitor is too heavy and drifts down, turn the screw towards the “+” symbol to increase the tension.

• If your monitor is too light and drifts up, turn the screw towards the “-” symbol to decrease the tension.

Caution: The preset spring tension holds the internal structure of the arm. Please do not loosen the spring tension adjustment screws on the upper arm if it is not necessary.

If you wish to adjust how easily the monitor arm swivels at its base, you can adjust the tension of the swivel joint. Use the 5mm Allen key (N) to tighten or loosen the screw located at the base of the arm where it meets the desk mount.
