13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Disposing of used batteries with domestic waste is to be avoided. Batteries/NiCad cells often contain heavy metals such as cadmium(Cd), mercury(Hg) and lead(Pb) that makes them unsuitable for disposal with domestic waste. You may return spent batteries/accumulators free of charge to recycling centres or anywhere else batteries/accumulators are sold. By doing so, you contribute to the conservation of our environment.

Minimize all volume levels before turning on the Master Power Switch. A fully lit set of Battery Status Indicators indicates the rechargeable battery is fully charged. A single red color indicator indicates the rechargeable battery is low on power. To recharge the battery, simply plug the supplied power cord into the power socket on the back and the other end into an AC power outlet.

The Master Volume Control has two switchable modes:

Standard Mode: Resets to zero volume level after power is turned off.

Memory Mode: Saves and recalls the last programmed volume level. To activate, press and hold the specific volume indicator before power is turned off.

It is recommended to turn the master volume control to the maximum level, then adjust the volume of other audio inputs individually to avoid distortion with maximum dynamic range output. The built-in audio limiter automatically prevents the signal level from exceeding a preset limit and stops sound from distorting.

Line-input: Reduce the Line Input volume level to a minimum. Once the MIPRO MA-808 is powered on, adjust the master volume level to maximum, and then adjust the line input volume to an appropriate level.

Line-output: The Line Output jack combines all mixed audio. The volume levels of the sources are individually adjusted and are not related to the master volume control.

1. Reduce microphone volume levels to a minimum. Once powered on, adjust the master volume levels to maximum.

2. For an unbalanced microphone, plug it into the Unbalanced 6.3 Ø Microphone Input and adjust the MIC 2 Volume Control.

3. For a balanced microphone, plug it into the Balanced XLR Microphone Input and adjust the MIC 1 Volume Control.

4. Use the Tone Control for high/low adjustments or the Echo Control for effect adjustments.

5. The Voice over Music Priority feature, when switched on, mutes the volume of the played audio when the microphone is used. The feature is disabled when switched to off.

6. The wired microphones can be used at the same time and sound can be heard simultaneously.

1. Reduce microphone volume levels to a minimum. Once powered on, adjust the master volume levels to maximum.

2. Power on the receiver module and reduce its volume levels to a minimum.

3. Perform the channel synchronization between the receiver and transmitter by pressing the Channel sync ACT button. Once the channel is synchronized, adjust to the desired volume levels.

4. Both wired and wireless microphones have the voice over music priority function.

(A) Power on the Bluetooth receiver and bring the mobile device within reception range.

(B) Press and hold the Bluetooth power button and indicator for 3-5 seconds until the blue/red indicator light flashes intermittently. This indicates the receiver is ready to be paired.

(C) If the indicator is not flashing intermittently, repeat the previous step.

(D) On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and click on “MIPRO MB-xx” for the receiver ID. Enter “0000” when prompted for a PIN code.

(E) Once paired and connected, the blue color indicator light on the Bluetooth receiver will continue to flash intermittently.

(F) To cancel the Bluetooth function, press and hold the Bluetooth power button and indicator for 3 seconds.

(G) To connect a different device, power off and on the Bluetooth receiver and repeat the pairing directions.

First, pair one MIPRO MA-808 unit with your smartphone by following the standard pairing procedure. Then, turn on the second MIPRO MA-808 unit and put it into pairing mode (blue/red indicator light flashing). Press the Bluetooth button twice on each device. During the blue/red indicator light flashing, the two Bluetooth receivers will pair with each other. Once paired, the blue color indicator light will flash intermittently or stay on. You can now play music from the paired smartphone to get stereo sound amplification.

This system can be hand-carried, dragged using its trolley wheels and retractable handle, and set up on a speaker tripod.

The storage compartment can hold up to two handheld transmitter microphones.

1. Open the lid.

2. Place the microphone downwards with the microphone head pointing up.

3. Once inserted, cover up the lid snugly.

1. Remove the screws from the steel protection cover plate using a Phillips-head screwdriver (not supplied).

2. Tilt slightly, then gently and slowly slide the battery away from each battery housing compartment. Remove both color-coded wires.

3. Connect the red-color wire and black-color wire to the new battery. Ensure the red color cable is positioned on top, near the “+” terminal. For the Left Side Compartment only, connect a 3rd red cable to the terminal socket when replacing with an MB-80 battery case.

4. Insert the connected battery into the left and right compartments. Fasten the screws once it is covered by the steel protection cover plate.

Please only use the MIPRO MB-70 x 2 or MB-80 x 2, or an equivalent rechargeable battery of the same type, rating, and specifications. Note: Each MB-80 battery case holds 4 LFP batteries; 2 MB-80 battery cases are needed.

CAUTION:

• Always change both rechargeable batteries at the same time.

• Do not mix battery types and do not mix old and new batteries. Replace both batteries at the same time.

• Replace with the same type and rating rechargeable battery only.

• Rechargeable battery can be purchased from authorized MIPRO distributors & dealers.

• Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.

• Do not try to heat, ignite, disassemble or throw batteries into a fire.

After plugging the power cord into the AC input socket, the 4 battery meter indicators will glow immediately. This means the built-in switching power supply is functioning normally and the batteries are fully charged. If the indicators are blinking, the power supply is working but the batteries are in an undercharged condition; they will stop blinking and glow steadily when fully charged.

AC power provides power to both the unit itself and to the built-in lead-acid rechargeable batteries.

When using AC power, you can remove or plug in the power cord freely without turning off the power switch first. If a power cut occurs during usage, the MIPRO MA-808 will automatically activate DC power to maintain continuous operation.

The MIPRO MA-808 uses two built-in series connection lead-acid batteries (WP 4.5-12). When fully charged, the unit can operate for approximately:

• 7-8 hours in standby mode (CD player and two receivers on)

• 6-7 hours for audio

• 5-6 hours for music

(These figures are references for brand new batteries only).

The batteries can be recharged when the unit is plugged into an AC or DC power outlet.

When operating on DC power with the power switch on, the battery meter indicators show the power level. If 2 to 4 indicators are shining, the battery power is sufficient. If only 1 indicator is shining or the red LED on the power switch is sparking, the battery power is insufficient and immediate charging is necessary. If no indicators are shining, the batteries are completely discharged or faulty.

Always store the system with the batteries fully charged if storing for more than 3 months. Leave the system plugged into an AC power outlet when not in use. It is recommended to recharge after every use, regardless of usage time, to preserve battery life.

If the battery is not used for a long time or not charged properly, resulting in excessive discharge and charging failure, the first step is to remove the battery. Charge it externally using an 18V/2A DC power supply for more than half an hour. Note that the battery surface temperature should not exceed 50°C during charging. Then, reload it into the machine and turn on the power. If the battery indicator lights a red light, connect the AC power for the normal charging procedure. If the battery indicator is completely off, it indicates that the battery has failed and needs replacement.

Note: AC power and DC power cannot be used at the same time.

(A) Remove the screws on the module frame panel.

(B) Remove the panel with a flat-head screwdriver.

(C) Insert the receiver module into the slot.

(D) Push firmly to make sure the module is tightly fitted into the slot.

(E) Tighten the screws.

For operating instructions of the wireless receiver modules, please refer to the user guide supplied with the module.

First, note that the wireless interlinking transmitter module must be installed on the top/right side slot only.

1. Remove the screws on the module frame panel.

2. Remove the panel with a flat-head screwdriver.

3. Insert the wireless interlinking transmitter module into the slot.

4. Push firmly to make sure the module is tightly fitted into the slot.

5. Tighten the screws.

For operating instructions, refer to the user guide supplied with the transmitter module.

1. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver (not supplied), remove the screws to remove the protection cover panel.

2. Gently insert the MP3 media player module into the slot. Make sure the back edge connector is aligned and firmly connected.

3. Tighten up the screws.

For operations of the CD/MP3 Media Player, see the separate player manual enclosed in the master carton.

1. Minimize the master volume control before powering on. Adjust the volume controls afterward.

2. Each audio input is accepted through the amplifier and its volume can be controlled separately.

3. Each audio input can be broadcasted and recorded at the same time.

4. NEVER place any wired or wireless microphone in front of or close in front of the speaker, otherwise feedback could occur.

5. Do not expose the MA-808 to an environment where there is water dropping or splashing.

6. Detach the power cord from the AC power outlet once the system is fully-recharged.

7. Refer to the operating instructions for the wireless microphone system.

8. Refer to the actual product in the event of a product description discrepancy.

9. Frequency range, output power, and maximum deviation must comply with the regulations of different countries.
