Improper operation can lead to serious or fatal damage. Please observe the following:

Before use, please wear insulated gloves.

Do not exceed the AC/DC600V measurement circuit limit.

Do not test in flammable places, as a spark could cause an explosion.

Do not operate the instrument with wet or damp hands.

Do not connect the test line to a charged circuit.

Do not touch the circuit being measured immediately after the test, as this may result in electric shock accidents.

If a test line or port is found to have damaged insulation due to dirt or carbon, please stop the test.

If the instrument is abnormal, please stop using it immediately. Examples of abnormal conditions include instrument damage or bare metal parts.

Do not install replacement parts or perform any unauthorized modifications or maintenance.

Ensure that all wires and connections to the instrument testing port are firm.

Before measurement, confirm the voltage selection is set to the appropriate value.

If the instrument is not used for a long time, the battery should be fully charged, and recharged every 3 months.

Do not store the instrument in high temperature, damp, or condensation-prone places, or under direct sunlight for a long time.

To clean the equipment enclosure, use a damp cloth or cleaner. Do not use abrasives or solvents.

If the instrument is wet, please dry it before storage.

It has 5 ranges: 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V, 10000V, the maximum test can reach 20TΩ, and it has a manual boost function.

The accuracy is specified for a temperature of 23±5°C and relative humidity of 45 – 75%RH. For manual voltage regulation with a range of 1G/V, 100G at 100V, the resistance error increases by 10% when the voltage is less than 200V.

There are 5 buttons in total from left to right. The first one is the power-on button in the shutdown state.

Battery Power Indicator:

The battery indicator has multiple levels. When the display shows only one bar left, it should be charged in time. When the battery display flashes, the power supply will be automatically cut off at any time and the battery must be charged immediately.

Charging:

Provide an AC power source that meets the requirements to the panel AC socket to charge the instrument. When charging, the power indicator light is on, and the battery indicator on the display screen will show the charge progressing from empty to full. When it is full, it displays a full grid icon.

1. Connect the L end of the test line to the tested product, and the E end to ground.

2. Turn on the instrument to check the actual measured voltage. The instrument can automatically distinguish between DC and AC.

3. Regardless of whether the voltage is DC or AC, if it exceeds 10V, check again whether the circuit breaker under test is disconnected.

1. Choose a measurement time longer than 1 minute.

2. Select the appropriate voltage and start the test.

3. The instrument automatically records the resistance values at 15 seconds (R15) and 60 seconds (R60), and calculates the absorption ratio after 60 seconds.

The absorption ratio calculation method is: DAR = R60 / R15.

1. Choose a measurement time longer than 10 minutes.

2. Select the appropriate voltage and start the test.

3. The instrument automatically records the resistance values at 60 seconds (R60) and 600 seconds (R600), and calculates the polarization index after 600 seconds.

The polarization index calculation method is: PI = R600 / R60.

The DD test is suitable for diagnosing multilayer insulation. It judges defects by measuring the discharge current and capacitance 1 minute after the test is completed.

DD value = current value (mA) 1 minute after the test is completed / voltage value (V) when the test is completed / capacitance value (F)

The following table provides a criterion for interpreting the results:

1. Confirm that the tested product is safely grounded and is not live.

2. Confirm that the E terminal (grounding terminal) of the meter is grounded.

3. For high insulation resistance measurements, use the G end (protection ring). A conductor protection ring should be placed on the surface between the two measurement terminals of the test product. Connect this ring to the G terminal of the meter with a test wire. This eliminates leakage current caused by the surface of the test product and ensures measurement accuracy. Especially when verifying the instrument, the G terminal should be connected to the G terminal of the resistance box to ensure normal verification.
