How should the appliance be prepared for first use?
Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Ensure children cannot play with the packaging materials. How should the appliance be moved and installed?
Use two or more people to move and install the appliance. Make sure that the air can circulate around the appliance by leaving a free space of at least 5 cm between the appliance and any other object. Ensure there is sufficient space to open the door. The front of the unit must be completely unobstructed. Place the appliance on a firm, steady surface that is strong enough to carry a filled wine cooler. This appliance can be used for free-standing or built-in installation.
Where should the appliance be installed?
Choose a well-ventilated area with temperatures above 16°C (60°F) and below 32°C (90°F). This unit must be installed in an area protected from the elements, such as wind, rain, water spray, or drips. Avoid placing the appliance directly in sunlight or near heat sources. Avoid very moist places.
What should be checked before connecting the appliance to the power supply?
Check that the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your home.
What should be done after installation, before turning on the appliance?
After installation, leave the refrigerator for 24 hours before turning it on to allow the refrigerant to settle. Before connecting the appliance to the power net, leave it standing upright for about 2 hours to reduce the risk of any malfunctioning of the cooling system due to transportation. Allow the appliance to run empty for 8 hours so the compartment can cool to the appropriate temperature.
How can the appliance be leveled?
One can level the appliance using adjustable legs. The adjustable legs can be adjusted by screwing them in or out of the appliance.
What are the climate class ratings for the appliance?
The climate class indicates the minimum and maximum ambient temperature for the proper operation of an appliance. SN: Subnormal: ambient temperature between 10°C and 32°C. N: Normal: ambient temperature between 16°C and 32°C. ST: Subtropical: ambient temperature between 16°C and 38°C. T: Tropical: ambient temperature between 16°C and 43°C.
What is the ideal ambient temperature and humidity for the appliance?
Make sure that the room temperature lies between 16°C and 32°C. The ideal ambient temperature is between 19ºC and 24ºC (66ºF-75ºF), and a humidity under 60%.
How is the stainless steel handle installed?
Pull away the door gasket in the area where the handle is to be installed on the left side. Align the handle with the screws installed. Tighten the screws using a Phillips crosshead screwdriver until the handle sets both flush and secured tightly against the door frame. Replace the door gasket to its original position.
What should be done if the handle is not used?
If you choose not to use the handle supplied, simply follow step 1 to access the installation screws and remove them and then place the two decorative plugs into the two holes separately. Continue on to step 3 to replace the door gasket to its original position.
How is the appliance turned on and off?
Press the on/off switch for a few seconds to turn the appliance on or off.
How can the temperature display be changed between Celsius and Fahrenheit?
To change the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit, press the Celsius/Fahrenheit button for a few seconds.
How is the desired temperature set?
The desired temperature can be set using the buttons to raise or lower the temperature. Pressing these buttons, the temperature will change with 1°C each time you push the button. The temperature can be set between 5-22°C (41-72°F).
How do you turn the lights inside the appliance on and off?
You can turn on/off the lights inside the appliance by pushing the on/off button for the light.
What steps should be taken when moving the appliance?
Remove all bottles from the wine cooler. Tape all loose parts to the inside of the wine cooler. Set the support feet at the bottom of the appliance to their lowest position. Tape the door shut. Make sure that the appliance is kept upright during transportation.
How are the shelves moved?
Empty the fridge before moving the shelves. The large wooden shelves are equipped with a telescopic runner assembly and you can move the wooden shelves out and in smoothly. To prevent damaging the door gasket, make sure to have the door all the way opened when pulling shelves out of the rail compartment. For easy access to the bottles, you must pull the shelves approximately 1/3 out of the rail compartment.
How are the shelves removed from the rail?
To remove the shelves out of the rail pull each shelf approximately 1/3 out. Use a long flat screwdriver to press down the right plastic notch and at the same time lift the left plastic notch. Then proceed to pull out the shelf slowly.
What should be done during short vacation periods?
For short vacation periods, leave the control knobs at their usual settings.
What should be done during longer absences?
Remove all bottles from the wine cooler. Disconnect from electrical outlet. Clean the refrigerator thoroughly, including the defrost pan. Leave the door open to avoid possible formations of condensate, mold, or odors.
What should be done during a power failure?
Minimize the number of door openings while the power is off.
What are some rules for the correct use of the refrigerator?
Beverages should be stored in sealed containers. Don’t open the door unless necessary. Keep the products away from fire or similar glowing substances before you dispose of the refrigerator. For indoor use only. The appliance cannot be used in public transportation. Keep all accessories, such as shelves, door racks, and drawers, in the appliance to minimize energy consumption.
How should the appliance be cleaned?
Turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket and remove the bottles from the wine cooler. Wipe the door seal with clear water only and then wipe dry thoroughly. Clean the inside and outside of the wine cooler with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning products.
How often should the carbon filter be replaced and where can you purchase a new one?
Replace the carbon filter annually. You can purchase new filters through your distributor or via the DOMO webshop.
How is the carbon filter replaced?
Remove the top racks in front of the filter at the top right. The carbon filter is located in the rear wall. Turn it a quarter turn counterclockwise. Remove the filter from the rear wall. Insert a new filter and turn it clockwise.
What should you do if the wine cooler does not work?
Check if the plug is connected to the power outlet and if the voltage indicated on the label on the appliance corresponds with the voltage of the power net. Press the on/off switch to turn on the unit.
What should you do if the wine cooler is not cool enough?
Check the temperature settings. Ambient temperatures may cause the need for a higher or lower temperature setting. The door is being opened too frequently. The door is not shut properly. The rubber seal of the door does not close off properly.
What should you do if the wine cooler vibrates?
Check whether the wine cooler is level. Make sure the bottles do not touch each other.
What should you do if the wine cooler makes too much noise?
The wine cooler may not be level. Check the ventilator.
What should you do if the door does not close properly?
The wine cooler may not be level. The rubber seal is not strong enough. The racks are not placed well into the wine cooler.
What should you do if the compressor turns on and off frequently?
The temperature setting is too cool. Close door securely. Do not keep door open for too long and minimize door openings. The rubber seal of the door does not close off properly.
