Please follow these precautions regarding the AC cable and power for your LG LSAA012-NX:

WARNINGS:

• Always connect the AC cable to a grounded power disconnecting device to avoid electrocution or injury.

• Insert the AC cable securely to prevent it from coming loose, which could cause a fire or electric shock.

• Never touch the power cord and signal cable during thunder and lightning, as it can be very dangerous.

• Avoid placing heavy objects on or stepping on the AC cable. Do not bend or pull it with excessive force.

• Do not connect a damaged AC cable to a power disconnecting device.

• Do not insert conductors like metal chopsticks into the power disconnecting device.

• If water or any foreign substance enters the product, disconnect the AC cable immediately and contact the service center.

• Keep the AC cable away from heating devices.

• Never disassemble, repair, or modify the AC cable.

• To ensure power consumption is zero, the AC cable must be disconnected.

CAUTIONS:

• If there is dust on the AC cable or power disconnecting device, wipe it clean to prevent overheating.

• If there is moisture on the AC cable or device, wipe it clean and do not touch it with wet hands.

• Do not turn the product on or off by connecting or disconnecting the AC cable; use the power controls.

• Do not disconnect the AC cable while the product is in use, as it can cause electrical shock and damage the product.

When moving your LG LSAA012-NX, please adhere to the following safety warnings:

• Contact the service center before moving the product to avoid electric shock and damage.

• Ensure the product is turned off, unplugged, and all cables have been removed before moving it.

• Do not shock or cause an impact on the front panel when moving the product.

• Use the correct number of people according to the product’s weight. Use lifting equipment for weights exceeding 100 kg (220.4 lbs), with a guideline of under 25 kg (55.1 lbs) per person.

• Do not hold the product upside down by only holding the stand (for stand-supported models).

• It is recommended to use the original product-packing box when moving the LG LSAA012-NX.

Follow these guidelines for a safe installation of your LG LSAA012-NX:

Installation Environment:

• Contact the service center before installing the product.

• Install the product firmly on a floor or wall to protect against external impacts like wind and earthquakes.

• Do not install where there are heating devices such as electrical heaters.

• Do not install on a wall that could be exposed to oil or oil mist.

• Install in a dry place, away from dust and water. Avoid high temperatures and humidity.

• Ensure the installation location can safely hold the weight of the product.

• Install where no electromagnetic interference occurs. Installing in a place that doesn’t meet recommended conditions can cause serious damage to picture quality and life cycle.

• Ensure the product is well-ventilated by maintaining a distance of 100 mm (3.9 inches) or more from the wall.

• Do not block vents with tablecloths, curtains, or other objects.

• Install on a flat, stable surface large enough to support the product.

Safety During Installation:

• Keep children away and do not place toys or objects near the product to prevent items from being thrown at the screen.

• Prevent children from climbing or hanging on the product.

• Do not leave AC or signal cables in a walking path to avoid trips and falls.

• If you drop the product or the case is broken, turn it off, unplug the power cord, and contact the service center.

• A readily accessible disconnect device must be incorporated external to the equipment.

To clean your LG LSAA012-NX safely and effectively, follow these instructions:

WARNINGS:

• Keep the product clean at all times. Accumulated dust can cause fire or product damage.

• For cleaning the inside of the product, you must contact the service center.

• When cleaning, disconnect the AC cable and wipe gently with a soft cloth to prevent scratches.

• Do not physically touch the screen of the LED Package, as this may cause damage.

• To clean the product, use an air gun to lightly remove dust from the front frame and screen. Foreign substances between the LEDs can cause defects.

CAUTION:

• When cleaning the screen, unplug the power cord. Do not spray water or other liquids directly on the product.

• Do not clean with chemicals such as glass cleaner, air freshener, insecticide, lubricants, wax, abrasive, thinner, benzene, alcohol, etc., as these can damage the product or its panel.

1. When taking the product out of the box, make sure the screen is not pressed. Use the provided protection pad for support.

2. To stand the product upright, hold it on both sides, ensuring the LED package screen does not touch the floor.

3. Before installation, place the product with the LED package screen facing down. To protect the screen, lay the protective pad from the box on the floor first.

4. If you do not have a pad, ensure the floor is free of any foreign objects before placing the screen face down or up. Be careful not to drop objects on the LED package screen.

5. Before installing the product, disassemble the protective brackets attached to each edge. Keep these brackets as you will need them to move the product again in the future.

CAUTION: If the product is tilted towards the LED package screen after the corner brackets are removed, the bottom of the product may be damaged.

For optimal performance and to prevent malfunctions, please follow these installation environment guidelines:

• Temperature: The product operating temperature is 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). It is recommended to maintain a room temperature below 25 °C (77 °F). A cooling system for the enclosure may be necessary to maintain this temperature. Avoid installing the product where warm air from an air conditioner directly affects it.

• Direct Sunlight: Install the product in a location where it is not exposed to direct sunlight to prevent the screen from appearing blurry due to light reflection.

• Installation Position:

• Ensure the distance from the ceiling to the product is at least 400 mm (15.7 inches) to allow for natural circulation of high-temperature air.

• Ensure the distance from the floor to the product is at least 100 mm (3.9 inches) to allow air to circulate easily to the ceiling.

• Recessed Wall Installation: If installing in a recessed wall, maintain the following clearances:

• A (distance from back to wall): 100 mm (3.9 inches) or more

• B (side clearance): 25 mm (0.9 inches) or more

• C (top/bottom clearance): 60 mm (2.3 inches) or more

• Bezel Installation: If installing a bezel, ensure it can be detached for product repair. For top/bottom bezels, secure at least 60% of the air vent to facilitate air circulation and prevent malfunctions.

Connecting LAN:

For models LSAA012-MX, LSAA012-MX1, LSAA012-NX, and LSAA012-NX1, you can connect to the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X (System Controller) using a LAN cable. Check the direction of the cable to avoid damage and do not use excessive force when inserting it.

Connecting AC Power (LSAA012-MX, LSAA012-NX):

1. Use an AC cable to connect the unit to a power disconnecting device. Ensure the cable is long enough.

2. Prepare a power cable of 9 A (16 AWG) or more.

3. Use a ferrite core to block noise from the power supply. Use 7 or more cores each for GND, L, and N when connecting to a master cabinet power cable.

4. Check the power cable color connection based on your region:

5. Connect the AC cable to the screen using an angle type O-type crimp terminal.

6. Secure the AC cable to the fixing parts on the screen after connection (100 mm or less from the screen is recommended).

If there is no image on your LG LSAA012-NX, please check the following:

• Is the AC cable connected to the product?

– Make sure the AC cable is properly connected to the power disconnecting device.

• Is the ‘No Signal’ message displayed?

– This indicates no connection between the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller and the input source. Check the connection status of the LAN cable.

– Access the Input menu to check the selected input source.

• Does the ‘Invalid Mode’ message appear?

– Refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller.

If the ‘Unknown Product’ message appears when the product is connected, it may be because the driver is not installed. Please refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller for instructions on driver installation.

If the screen image appears abnormal, try these troubleshooting steps:

• Is the screen position wrong?

– Refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller to adjust the screen position.

• The screen is displayed abnormally.

– This can happen if the proper input source is not connected to the port. Connect a cable that matches the input source signal.

• The screen flickers or shakes.

– Check if the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller is powered off.

If you are experiencing color issues on your LG LSAA012-NX, consider the following:

• Poor color resolution (16 colors):

– Refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller for color settings.

• The screen color is unstable or looks black and white:

– Refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X system controller.

• A black dot appears on the screen:

– The appearance of a few pixels (red, green, blue, white, and black) is due to the inherent characteristics of the LED surface. This is not a malfunction of the screen.

You can set Video Wall options to create a wide visual canvas. Navigate to SETTINGS → Ez Setting → Video Wall.

• [Tile Mode]: Turn Tile Mode on or off.

• [Tile Mode Settings]: Display a single integrated screen on multiple Signage monitors.

• [Simple Configuration]: Automatically sets the Tile ID based on the connection direction of the RS232C cable. This function should be run on the master set (Set ID 1).

• [Natural Mode]: Displays the image excluding the area that overlaps with the monitor’s bezel for a more natural look.

• [Frame Control]: Adjusts sets that run Scan Inversion and frame deviation.

• [Scan Inversion]: Reduces screen deviation between adjoining video walls by changing the screen scanning method.

• [White Balance]: Configure white balance settings.

• [Reset]: Resets to initial settings.

• [Reboot to Apply]: Reboots the set to apply changed Frame Control/Scan Inversion values.

Note: When Tile Mode is enabled, Frame Control is automatically set for odd-numbered rows and Scan Inversion for even-numbered rows.

The Fail Over feature automatically plays backup content when the primary input signal is lost. To configure it, go to SETTINGS → Ez Setting → Fail Over.

• [On/Off]: Turns the Fail Over feature on or off.

• [Input Priority]: Set the priority of input sources for fail over.

• [Backup via storage]: When there is no input signal, this feature plays content stored in the device. When set to On, the following options are activated:

• [Auto]: Plays back a screenshot of the last valid image or video. You can set the capture interval.

• [Manual]: Plays back a manually uploaded image or video file.

• [SuperSign Contents]: Plays files distributed from a SuperSign CMS.

• [SI App / Play via URL]: Runs a SI App or plays content from a URL.

• [reset]: Resets to initial settings.

Note: If multiple input devices are connected, the device will automatically switch to the one with the highest priority that has a valid signal, even if a failure does not occur.

You can configure several power-related features in the settings menu.

Navigate to SETTINGS → General → Power

• [No Signal Power Off (15 Min)]: If set to On, the product turns off after remaining in a No Signal status for 15 minutes.

• [No IR Power Off (4hour)]: If set to On, the product turns off if there is no input from the remote control for 4 hours.

• [DPM] / [DPM (Standby Mode)]: When there is no input signal, the monitor will enter Display Power Management (DPM) mode. Setting this to Off disables DPM.

• [PM Mode]: Configures the behavior when entering DPM, with options like Power Off, Screen Off, and Network Ready.

• [Power On Delay](0-250): Prevents overload by implementing a power-on delay (0-250 seconds) when multiple monitors turn on simultaneously.

• [Power On Status]: Select the operating status (Power On, Standby, or Last Status) when the main power is turned on.

• [Wake On LAN]: Allows you to turn the product on remotely through a wired or wireless network.

Navigate to SETTINGS → Display → Advanced Setting → Energy Saving

• [Smart Energy Saving]: Automatically adjusts screen brightness according to the picture to save energy.

• [Brightness Control]: Adjusts screen brightness to save energy, with options for Auto (based on ambient light), Off, or Minimum/Medium/Maximum levels.

To prevent unauthorized changes to settings, you can use the Lock Mode. Navigate to SETTINGS → Admin → Lock Mode.

• [Home Dashboard Lock]: Limits changes in the settings of the Home Dashboard.

• [USB Lock]: Prevents settings or content from being changed via USB.

• [OSD Lock]: Prevents settings or content from being changed through the On-Screen Display. To access the settings menu in OSD Lock, press and hold the Settings key for at least 10 seconds and enter the password.

• [IR Operation Lock]: Disables the remote control. You can choose to block all keys or block all keys except the power key.

• [Local Key Lock]: Disables the physical buttons on the monitor. You can choose to block all keys or block all keys except the power key.

• [Wi-Fi Lock]: Enables or disables the Wi-Fi feature.

• [Screen Share Lock]: Enables, disables, or requires a PIN for the Screen Share feature.

The LG LSAA012-NX supports various video codecs and photo file formats. The photo feature is not supported in OLED models.

The ScreenShare feature allows the screen of a user’s device (mobile or PC) to be shared with the display using a wireless connection like WiDi or Miracast.

To use ScreenShare, navigate to INPUT → ScreenShare.

1. Connect your device according to the instructions provided by the guide that can be accessed through the CONNECTION GUIDE button in the upper right of the ScreenShare app.

2. Once the connection is established, the screen of your device will be mirrored on the LG LSAA012-NX.

Note: This feature works properly with WiDi 3.5 or later versions and on Windows 8.1 or later.

To control the LG LSAA012-NX via RS-232C, use the following communication parameters:

• Baud Rate: 9600 BPS

• Data Length: 8 bits

• Parity Bit: None

• Stop Bit: 1 bit

• Flow Control: None

• Communication Code: ASCII

Transmission Protocol

The command structure sent from the PC to the monitor is:

• (Command1): Identifies the adjustment setting mode.

• (Command2): Controls the monitor.

• (Set ID): A unique ID from 1 to 1000 (01H to 3E8H) to select a specific monitor. Set ID ’00H’ controls all connected monitors simultaneously.

• (Data): Transmits command data.

• (Cr): Carriage Return (ASCII code ‘0 x 0D’).

• ( ): White Space (ASCII code ‘0 x 20’).

Acknowledgment Protocol

The acknowledgment (ACK) sent from the monitor to the PC is:

• The product transmits an ACK when it receives normal data.

• If the data is ‘FF’, it indicates present status data.

• If a command is sent with Set ID ’00’, monitors do not send an acknowledgment.

• Sending “FF” as the data value allows you to check the currently set value for the relevant feature.
