WARNING

• Before using an AC cable, make sure it conforms to the national standards.

• Operate the display only from a power source (i.e. voltage) indicated in the product specification. Otherwise, the product can be damaged, fire can occur, or you may be electrocuted. If you are not sure what type of power supply you have, consult a certified installation company.

• Be sure to connect the AC cable to a grounded power disconnecting device. If you do not, you may be electrocuted or injured, or the product can be damaged.

• Insert the AC cable securely so that it does not come loose. A poor connection may cause a fire or electric shock.

• In the presence of thunder and lightning, never touch the power cord and signal cable because it can be very dangerous. It can cause electric shock.

• Be careful not to place heavy objects (electronic appliances, clothes, etc.) on or step on the AC cable. In addition, do not bend or pull the AC cable with excessive force. Damaged power cords may cause a fire or electric shock.

• Do not connect the AC cable to a power disconnecting device if it has been damaged by a sharp object. You may be electrocuted.

• Do not insert a conductor (such as a metal chopstick) into the power disconnecting device while the AC cable is connected on the other side. In addition, do not touch the AC cable directly after removing it from the power disconnecting device. You may be electrocuted.

• If water or any foreign substance enters the product, disconnect the AC cable immediately and contact the service center. Otherwise, this may cause a fire or electric shock due to damage to the product.

• Keep the AC cable away from heating devices. The cord coating may melt and cause fire or electric shock.

• Never disassemble, repair, or modify the AC cable. This may cause a fire or electric shock.

• As long as this unit is connected to the AC wall outlet, it is not disconnected from the AC power source even if the unit is turned off.

• For the power consumption to be zero, the AC cable must be disconnected.

CAUTION

• If there is dust on the AC cable or the power disconnecting device, wipe them clean. Overheating due to layers of dust may cause a fire or electric shock.

• If there is moisture on the AC cable or the power disconnecting device, wipe them clean. In addition, do not touch them if your hands are wet. This may cause an electric shock.

• Do not turn the product on or off by connecting or disconnecting the AC cable. In other words, do not use the AC cable as a switch. This may cause an electric shock or product malfunction.

• Do not disconnect the AC cable while using the product. Electrical shock can damage the product.

WARNING

• Contact the service center before moving the product. It may cause electric shock and damage the product.

• Make sure the product is turned off, unplugged, and all cables have been removed before the product is moved. You may be electrocuted or the product can be damaged.

• When moving the product, do not shock or cause an impact on the front panel. You may be electrocuted or the product can be damaged.

• Use the correct number of people according to the weight of the product. (Under 25 kg (55.1 lbs) per person; use lifting equipment when exceeding 100 kg (220.4 lbs)).

• If you use the damaged product again, contact the service center because it can cause electric shock or fire.

• Do not hold it upside down while holding only the stand (for stand-supported models only). This may cause stand warping, panel damage, and other types of product damage.

CAUTION

• Do not dispose of the product-packing box. Use it when moving by putting the product in the box to carry it.

WARNING

• Contact the service center before installing the product. It can cause electric shock and damage the product.

• Do not drop an object on or impact the product. Keep out of reach of children and do not place toys or objects near the product to prevent throwing things on the product screen.

• Do not put heavy objects on, or hang from, the product. If the product collapses or is dropped, you may be injured.

• Do not touch the surface of the product if it overheats, as it can cause injury.

• Install the product firmly fixed on a floor, wall, etc. to prepare against external impacts such as wind and earthquake.

• Prevent children from climbing or hanging on the product. If the product collapses or is dropped, you may be injured.

• Do not install it where there are heating devices such as electrical heaters or lighting equipment, as this may cause fire, electrical shock, or malfunction.

• Safely install the product in a place that can hold the weight of the product. A lack of strength may cause the product to fall.

• A readily accessible disconnect device shall be incorporated external to the equipment.

CAUTION

• Install the product where no Electromagnetic Interference occurs.

• If you install the product in a place that does not meet the recommended conditions, this may cause serious damage to the product’s picture quality, life cycle, and appearance. Check with a service engineer before installing. Do not install the product in places with an abundance of fine dust or oil mist, where chemical substances are used, exposed to direct sunlight, or where the temperature or humidity is very high.

• Make sure the product is well ventilated by installing it at a distance of 100 mm (3.9 inches) or more from the wall. Installing it too close may cause deformation or fire due to internal heat buildup.

• Do not install the product in an area with poor ventilation (e.g., on a bookshelf, in a closet) or outside, and avoid placing it on cushions or carpets. This could cause a fire due to overheating.

WARNING

• Keep the product clean at all times. If it becomes covered in dust for a long time, it can cause fire or product damage.

• To clean the inside of the product, you must contact the service center. Cleaning without support may cause a fire, electric shock, or damage.

• When cleaning the product, disconnect the AC cable and wipe it gently with a soft cloth to prevent scratches.

• Do not physically come in contact with the screen of the LED Package, as this may cause damage.

• To clean the product, use an air gun to lightly remove dust from the front frame and the screen. If there are foreign substances between the LEDs, it may cause a defect.

CAUTION

• When cleaning, unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft cloth. Do not spray water or other liquids directly on the product. Especially, do not clean your product with chemicals including glass cleaner, air freshener, insecticide, lubricants, wax, abrasive, thinner, benzene, alcohol, etc., which can damage the product or its panel.

WARNING

• Do not use the product in any environment with excessively high temperatures or humidity.

• If you use the product for a long period, take a rest from time to time to protect your vision.

• If water or any foreign substance enters the unit, turn it off, disconnect the AC cable, and contact the service center.

• In the event that no image appears on the screen or no sound is heard, stop using the product and disconnect the AC cable immediately.

• Do not drop an object or impact on the product or screen.

• If there is smoke or a strange sound or smell, disconnect the AC cable and contact the service center.

• Do not attempt to disassemble, repair or modify the product yourself.

• Do not place objects filled with liquids such as vases or cups on or over the product.

• Do not push hard on or scratch the product’s surface with your hands or sharp objects.

CAUTION

• This panel is an advanced product that contains millions of pixels. You may occasionally see pixel spots when viewing the screen. Since these deactivated pixels are not a defect, the performance and reliability of the product is not affected.

• Do not put or store inflammable substances near the product.

• Keep the proper distance from the product. Looking at it too closely can cause damage to your vision.

• Set the appropriate resolution and frequency by product to avoid vision damage.

1. When taking the product out of the box, make sure the screen is not pressed. Use the provided Protection Pad for safety.

2. To stand the product upright, hold it on both sides so that the LED package screen does not touch the floor.

3. When placing the product down, lay the protective pad from the box on the floor and place the product with the LED package screen facing down on the pad.

4. If you do not have a pad, ensure the floor is clear of any foreign objects. Carefully place the LED package screen facing down or up. Be careful not to drop objects on the LED package screen.

Before installing the product, disassemble the protective brackets attached to each edge by removing the M4 x L8 screws. Keep the protective brackets as you will need them to move the product again in the future.

CAUTION: If the product is tilted towards the LED package screen or its edge after the brackets are removed, the bottom or corner of the product may be damaged.

Temperature

• Make a cooling system for the enclosure so that the operating temperature of the product can be maintained. The product operating temperature is 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F). The recommended room temperature is below 25 °C (77 °F).

• Install in a location where the warm air from an air conditioner does not directly affect the product. This will prevent malfunctions such as the screen turning off.

Direct Sunlight

• Install in a location that is not exposed to direct sunlight. This will prevent the screen from appearing blurry due to light reflection.

• Ensure the distance from the ceiling of the installation room to the product is at least 400 mm (15.7 inches). This allows high-temperature air collected at the ceiling to naturally circulate and prevent malfunction.

• Ensure the distance from the floor of the installation room to the product is at least 100 mm (3.9 inches). This allows air from the floor to easily circulate to the ceiling to prevent malfunctions.

Installing on a Recessed Wall

After installation on a recessed wall, a bezel can be installed for interior purposes. Maintain the following minimum clearances:

• A: 100 mm (3.9 inches) or more

• B: 25 mm (0.9 inches) or more

• C: 60 mm (2.3 inches) or more

When Installing the Bezel

• Ensure the bezel can be detached for product repair.

• For the top/bottom bezels, secure at least 60% of the air vent to facilitate air circulation. This will prevent malfunction.

You can connect the LG LSAA012-MX1 to the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X (System Controller) by using a LAN cable (not provided). Connect the LAN cable from the System Controller to the LAN IN port on the signage.

CAUTION: Check the direction so that the LAN cable is not damaged. Inserting the LAN cable with excessive force may damage the contact point.

You can connect the unit to a power disconnecting device using an AC cable.

Power Connection Steps:

1. Prepare a power cable of 9 A (16 AWG) or more.

2. Use the AC cable to connect to the power disconnecting device. Use a cable that is long enough to be connected to the screen.

3. Use a ferrite core to block out noise from the power supply. Use 7 or more cores each for GND, L, and N when connecting to a master cabinet power cable.

4. Check the power cable color connection based on your region:

5. Connect the AC cable to the screen using an angle type O-type crimp terminal to connect to the G, N, L terminals on the screen power supply.

6. Secure the AC cable to the fixing parts once it is connected to the screen. Ensure it is secured near the screen (100 mm (3.9 inches) or less is recommended).

7. Avoid water or dust during connection.

• Is the AC cable connected to the product? Make sure the AC cable is properly connected to the power disconnecting device.

• Is the ‘No Signal’ message displayed? This means there is no connection between the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X and the input source. Check the connection status of the LAN cable and access the Input menu to check the input source.

• Does the ‘Invalid Mode’ message appear? Refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X.

This message appears if the driver is not installed. Refer to the manual of the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X for driver installation instructions.

• Is the screen position wrong? Refer to the manual of CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X.

• The screen is displayed abnormally. The proper input source is not connected to the port. Connect a cable that matches the input source signal.

• The screen flickers or shakes. Check if the CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X is powered off.

• Screen has poor color resolution (16 colors). Refer to the manual of CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X.

• The screen color is unstable or looks black and white. Refer to the manual of CSAA-012X/CSAA-009X.

• Does a black dot appear on the screen? The few pixels (red, green, blue, white and black) that appear on the screen are due to the inherent characteristics of the LED surface. This is not a malfunction of the screen.

The wireless module uses ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying).

For consideration of the user, this device should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20 cm (7.8 inches) between the device and the body.

To set Video Wall options on your LG LSAA012-MX1, navigate to SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> Video Wall. This feature allows you to create a wide visual canvas using multiple displays.

• [Tile Mode]: Turn Tile Mode on or off.

• [Tile Mode Settings]: Display a single integrated screen on multiple Signage monitors.

• [Simple Configuration]: Automatically sets the Tile ID based on the connection direction of the set RS232C. This is guaranteed to work only for the master set (Set ID 1).

• [Natural Mode]: Displays the image excluding the bezel overlap area, making the image feel more natural.

• [Frame Control]: Adjust the sets that run Scan Inversion and frame deviation.

• [Scan Inversion]: Reduce screen deviation between adjoining video walls by changing the screen scanning method.

• [White Balance]: Configure white balance settings (White Pattern, R/G/B-Gain, and Luminance).

• [Reset]: Reset to initial settings.

• [Reboot to Apply]: Reboot the set to configure a changed Frame Control/Scan Inversion value.

Note: When Tile Mode is enabled, Frame Control is automatically set for odd-numbered rows and Scan Inversion for even-numbered rows.

You can set a schedule to use your signage by time and day of the week by navigating to SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> On/Off Scheduler.

• [On/Off Time Setting]: Set on/off times for each day of the week.

• [Holiday Setting]: Set holidays by date and by day of the week.

The Fail Over feature, found under SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> Fail Over, allows you to set the priority of input devices when a fault occurs. It can automatically play content stored in the device or run a set app.

• [On/Off]: Turns Fail Over on or off.

• [Input Priority]: Set the priority of input sources for fail over.

• [Backup via storage]: When there is no input signal, this feature automatically plays stored content. Options include:

– [Auto]: Plays back a captured screenshot of an image or video at regular intervals.

– [Manual]: Plays back a user-uploaded image or video file.

– [SuperSign Contents]: Plays files distributed via SuperSign CMS.

– [SI App / Play via URL]: Runs an SI App or plays content from a URL.

• [reset]: Reset to initial settings.

Note: If multiple input devices are connected simultaneously, the device will automatically switch to the one with the highest priority that has a valid signal, even if no failure occurs.

You can play content automatically through the built-in web browser by navigating to SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> Play via URL.

• [URL Loader]: Turns the Play via URL feature on or off.

• [Set URL]: Enter the URL address to display automatically.

• [Preview]: Preview your desired website by accessing the specified URL.

• [Save]: Save the specified URL.

• [Reboot to Apply]: Restarts the monitor set after saving the specified URL.

• [Reset]: Reset to initial settings.

Note: This feature does not apply when Screen Rotation is enabled. If Time Setting is not set to ‘Set Automatically’, website navigation may be difficult.

This feature is used to copy and import the settings of the device to other devices. You can find it under SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> Settings Data Cloning.

• [Export Setting Data]: Export the settings of the device to another device.

• [Import Setting Data]: Import the settings of another device into the device.

Sync Mode, found under SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> Sync Mode, allows you to sync up time and content among multiple signage units.

• [RS-232C Sync]: Sync up multiple signage connected by RS-232C.

• [Backlight Sync]: Shares values to control backlights using illumination sensors between devices connected by RS-232C.

• [Network contents sync]: Sync up multiple signage connected to the same network.

The Multi Screen feature, found under SETTINGS -> Ez Setting -> Multi Screen, allows you to view multiple external inputs and videos on a single screen. Supported modes include PIP Mode, PBP Mode, 3-Screen Split Mode, and 4-Screen Split Mode.

Selecting Screen Layout: When you enter multi-screen mode, a layout selection menu appears. If it’s not displayed, press the up arrow key on your remote to bring up the menu bar and select your desired layout.

Changing Screen Input: Press the input button on the top right of each split screen to select the desired input. Inputs already selected for other screens cannot be selected again unless you reset.

Playing Videos on Split Screens: Press the video file button on the upper right of a split screen, select a storage device, and then choose a video to play. Videos with HEVC, MPEG-2, H.264, or VP9 codecs can be played. There are limitations on combinations and resolutions, especially for 4K content.

Video codec compatibility for PIP mode:

The General settings menu allows you to configure basic device options.

• [Language]: You can select the menu language and keyboard language displayed on the screen.

• [System Information]: This feature displays information such as the device name, software version, and storage space.

• [Set ID] (1-1000): Assigns a unique Set ID number to each product when several products are connected via RS-232C. You can control each product separately by using its assigned Set ID.

• [Time & Date]: Enables you to view and change the time and date on the device. You can set it automatically, configure Daylight Saving Time, and change the time zone.

• [Power]: Configure power-related features like ‘No Signal Power Off’ and ‘No IR Power Off’.

• [Network]: Configure wired and wireless network connections.

• [Advanced Setting]: Configure advanced features like Beacon, Control Interface, Background Image, etc.

The power settings, found under SETTINGS -> General -> Power, allow you to manage power consumption and behavior.

• [No Signal Power Off (15 Min)]: If set to On, the product turns off after it has remained in a No Signal status for 15 minutes.

• [No IR Power Off (4hour)]: If set to On, the product turns off if there is no input from the remote control for 4 hours.

• [DPM] / [DPM (Standby Mode)]: Sets the Display Power Management mode. If not set to Off, the monitor will enter DPM mode when there is no input signal.

• [PM Mode]: Defines the power state during DPM, with options like Power Off (Default), Sustain Aspect Ratio, Screen Off, and Network Ready.

• [Power On Delay](0-250): Prevents overload by implementing a power-on delay (0 to 250 seconds) when multiple monitor sets turn on.

• [Power On Status]: Selects the operating status of the monitor when main power is turned on (Power On, Standby, or Last Status).

• [Wake On LAN]: Allows the product to be turned on remotely through a wired or wireless network.

• [Power Indicator]: Turns the power indicator light on or off.

The Display settings allow you to configure the visual output of your signage.

• [Picture Mode]: Choose the optimal picture mode for your installation environment (e.g., General, Shopping Mall, Airport & Station, Calibration). An Expert option allows for fine-tuning.

• [HDR]: Choose the optimal picture mode for High Dynamic Range content.

• [Customize]: Manually adjust settings like Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, Color, Tint, and Color Temperature. It also includes Expert Controls for Dynamic Contrast, Gamma, White Balance, etc.

• [Aspect Ratio]: Change the picture size to Full (stretches to fill the screen) or Original (displays at original resolution).

• [Advanced Setting]: Configure features like Energy Saving, UHD Deep Color, and more.

You can lock various functions to prevent unauthorized changes by navigating to SETTINGS -> Admin -> Lock Mode.

• [Home Dashboard Lock]: Limits changes in the Home Dashboard settings.

• [USB Lock]: Prevents settings or content from being changed via USB.

• [OSD Lock]: Prevents settings or content from being changed through the On-Screen Display menu.

• [IR Operation Lock]: Locks the remote control. You can choose to block all keys or all keys except the power key.

• [Local Key Lock]: Locks the physical buttons on the monitor. You can choose to block all keys or all keys except the power key.

• [Wi-Fi Lock]: Enables or disables the Wi-Fi feature.

• [Screen Share Lock]: Enables or disables the Screen Share feature, with an option to require a PIN.

The Content Manager app allows you to play and manage various types of content. It has three main features:

• [Player]: This feature enables you to play and manage video, image, templates, SuperSign content, and playlists. You can play content continuously, export it to other devices, delete it, or filter/sort your content library. You can also create playlists by selecting content and setting properties like play time and transition effects.

• [Scheduler]: This enables certain content (from a playlist or an external input) to be played at a scheduled time. You can create, import, export, and delete schedules. A calendar view shows all registered schedules in a timetable format.

• [Editor]: Allows you to create your own content by adding your desired templates. You can select a format (Landscape or Portrait), modify the template’s text and font style, and modify the media file.

• Only USB storage devices are recognized.

• USB devices connected through a USB hub may not work properly.

• Do not turn off the display or unplug the USB device while it is working, as this may damage files or the device.

• Please connect power to a USB storage device (over 0.5 A) which requires an external power supply. Otherwise, the device may not be recognized.

• Be sure to back up important files since data stored in a USB memory device may be damaged.

• If the USB HDD does not have an external power source, the USB device may not be detected. Make sure to connect it to an external power source.

• The recommended capacity is 1 TB or less for a USB external hard disk and 32 GB or less for USB memory.

• USB storage devices (USB 2.0 or below) are also supported but may not work properly in the videos list.

• A maximum of 999 folders or files can be recognized under one folder.

• Even if multiple USB storage devices are connected, only one USB storage device can be used.
