• NEVER place the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.

• NEVER place items that might tempt children to climb, such as toys and remote controls, on the top of the television or furniture on which the television is placed.

If your existing television set is being retained and relocated, the same considerations as above should be applied. To prevent injury, the television set must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.

• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.

• The appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, (for example, vases), shall be placed on the appliance.

• When discarding used batteries, always be mindful of the environment. Ensure you follow any guidelines for recycling and safe disposal of batteries that apply in your local area. Don’t throw used batteries in a rubbish bin.

• When installing your TV, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the TV and other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Failing to maintain proper ventilation may result in a fire or a problem with the product caused by an increase in its internal temperature.

• The openings/slots on the back of the apparatus have been provided for necessary ventilation. Ventilation should not be impeded by blocking these openings in any way (for example, newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.)

• No naked flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on the apparatus. To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or other open flames away from this product at all times.

• The device may malfunction when under electrostatic discharge. It can be manually resumed by switching power off completely (at wall outlet), then switching power on again.

• To avoid any injury caused by overturn of the product when installed with base stands, please always ensure the whole product is placed horizontally within the supporting surface and that the television is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.

• Keep small accessories out of reach of children so they are not mistakenly swallowed.

Most appliances recommend they be placed upon a dedicated circuit; that is, a single outlet circuit which powers only that appliance and has no additional outlets or branch circuits.

Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or damaged wall outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, or damaged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous. Any of these conditions could result in electric shock or fire. Items not included are: Phillips head screwdriver, antenna cable, and broadband internet connection.

This is a general guide to inputs and ports, your TV may not feature all of the above.

Before you begin, spread cushioning flat to lay the TV on to prevent damage.

1. Attach stands to the base of the TV, ensuring the ‘L’ and ‘R’ markings on the TV and stands match.

2. Insert two 18mm screws for each stand and use a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied) to tighten.

1. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) via the ‘ANT’ input port at the back of the TV.

2. Ensure the antenna cable is also connected to a working antenna, either via an antenna wall socket in your home, or directly.

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side of the remote.

2. Insert two 1.5V AAA size batteries (Lithium AAA batteries recommended), making sure to match the polarity markings (+ / -) of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment.

3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Battery Warnings:

• One loading of batteries will last for 1 year under normal use.

• If you do not intend to use the remote controller for a long period of time, remove them to avoid damage due to leakage.

• Do not use old and new batteries together.

• The batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Turning TV On:

1. Plug the power cord into a suitable power outlet. The standby light will turn on (red light), showing that the TV is receiving power.

2. Press the POWER (power symbol) button on your remote or at the bottom of the TV to turn the TV on.

3. The standby light will turn off when the TV is on.

Turning TV Off:

• Press the POWER (power symbol) button on the remote control to enter standby mode.

• To power down the TV completely, unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

• It is recommended to unplug the set from both the power outlet and aerial if you will not use the TV for a long time.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Welcome screen will appear. Use the ^, v, and OK buttons to navigate the following options:

1. Remote & accessories: Follow the onscreen prompts to pair your Google TV remote control. This enables voice commands via the Google Assistant button.

2. Language: Select your menu language.

3. Select TV mode: Choose ‘Home mode’ for efficient usage at home. ‘Retail mode’ is for store demos.

4. Select Wi-Fi network: The TV will automatically scan for networks. Select your network, enter your password, and connect. For a wired connection, insert an Ethernet cable into the ‘LAN’ input port at the back of the TV.

5. Use your Google Account: Sign in to access your movies, TV shows, personalized recommendations, and Google Assistant features.

6. Terms of Service: Select “Accept” to agree to the Google Terms of Service to proceed.

7. Search across all your TV apps: Grant permission for Google Assistant to search for content across your installed apps.

8. Region or Country select: Use the directional buttons to select your region/country and press OK to confirm.

9. Channel Scan: After the initial setup, the Channel Scan screen will appear. Ensure an antenna cable is connected to the ‘ANT’ port. Confirm your settings to begin the auto-tuning process, which will search for and save all available free-to-air TV channels.

The layout and functions of the home page may change with launcher updates. Here are the key sections:

• 1 Text search: Enter text manually to search TV apps.

• 2 For you: Displays app recommendations, new episodes, Top picks, and your apps.

• 3 Movies: Watch popular movies, new movies, and more.

• 4 Shows: Watch popular programs, new programs, etc.

• 5 Apps: Access the App Centre to display all installed apps. Free-to-air channels can be accessed under the “Live TV” option.

• 6 Library: View records and manage your watch list.

• 7 Dashboard: Contains user account, settings page, input source list, weather panel, image settings, notifications, etc.

There are two ways to select a channel:

1. Using the number buttons on the remote control followed by the OK button to go directly to a channel. For example, to select channel 5, press ‘5’. To select channel 21, press ‘2’ then ‘1’ in quick succession.

2. Using the ^ P v buttons on the remote control or on your TV to scroll through channels in sequence. You will only see channels that the TV has saved.

• To increase the volume, press the + Volume button.

• To decrease the volume, press the – Volume button.

• To toggle the sound on and off, press the Mute button. To resume sound when the TV is muted, press the Mute button again or press the + Volume button.

• Press the Quick Menu button to display the quick menu.

• Press the ^/v/</> Navigational buttons to select the desired sub-item.

• Press the OK Enter or > Navigational button to access the menu of the next level.

• Select ‘More’ on the quick menu list to bring up the full settings menu.

• Press the Back button to return to the previous menu.

Note: When a menu item is greyed out, it is not available or cannot be adjusted. Some items may be hidden depending on the current mode or signal source.

Press the Quick Menu button on your remote control to access options for your TV (picture, sound, power). Use the < / > buttons to navigate through the submenus.

The Quick Menu includes:

• Inputs: Shows a list of input sources with their connection status.

• Picture: Provides video adjustment features. You can adjust the image or picture quality by selecting a “Picture Function”.

• Screen: Adjust the screen ratio (e.g., Automatic, Full, Wide screen).

• Sound: Locate settings for Style, Basic Settings, Speaker Delay, and more.

• Parental Controls: Set options for Channels Blocked, Program Restrictions, Inputs Blocked, etc.

• Advanced options: Adjust settings for subtitles, default channel, blue mute, and more. Also provides system information.

• Settings: This option takes you to the Global Settings menu, which is also accessible from the home screen.

To access the global settings menu, press the > key on your remote until the Dashboard menu appears, then use the arrow keys to navigate to the Settings icon. This menu contains all adjustable options for the Android TV’s interface, connectivity, and apps. In live TV mode, you can also press the Quick Menu button and navigate to the ‘Settings’ option.

Follow these steps to add or remove channels from the Favourite list:

1. Press [OK] to open the “Channel list” menu.

2. Press [BLUE] to enter the Favorites list Selection menu.

3. Press [OK] to add the program to Favourites 1.

4. Press [up and down] to select a different favorites list, then press OK to add favorite programs to it.

5. Press [OK] to cancel adding favorite programs.

To use PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and Timeshift, you must first prepare a USB device. Ensure you have a USB drive inserted into one of the TV’s USB 2.0 input ports.

1. Press the Quick Menu button on your remote control.

2. Use the v button to scroll down to the Record menu.

3. Select Device Info to prepare your USB device for PVR or Timeshift functionality.

Your attached USB device will display on the Device Info list if it is prepared. You can also format your device and run speed tests from this menu.

NOTE:

• Don’t connect or disconnect any USB device while in USB playback mode.

• Ensure all personal data is backed up before inserting a USB device into the TV.

• The USB device should have a capacity of at least 512MB.

• The USB device must support USB 2.0 high-speed specification.

• Use only USB storage devices formatted to FAT32.

There are two types of recording: Instant Recording and Schedule Recording.

Instant Recording:

1. Select the channel you want to record.

2. Press the Record button on the remote control to start recording.

3. To stop recording, press the Stop button and select Yes.

Schedule Recording:

1. Enter the EPG (Electronic Program Guide) menu.

2. Navigate to the program information you want to book.

3. Press the OK button. A menu will appear.

4. Select ‘Record’ to book the program.

Note: Schedule recording still works when the TV is in standby mode.

With Timeshift turned on, you can pause and rewind normal TV viewing without missing any of the live broadcast.

1. Click the II Pause icon to activate Timeshift. The TV stores the channel from the point of view you want to record.

2. Press Play to resume viewing from where you left off.

3. Press Stop to exit Timeshift mode.

If a USB device dedicated to recording is disconnected, Timeshift files that were saved will be automatically deleted.

After a recording is complete:

1. Press the Quick Menu button on your remote control.

2. Use the v button to scroll down to the Record menu.

3. Select Record List. Here you will find a complete list of your recordings.

4. Press the Yellow colour button to delete any files you no longer require.

You will need to have a media player app installed. You can choose your preferred media player from the Google Play store.

1. Insert a USB drive containing media files into the TV’s USB input port.

2. From the Home page, select your preferred media player app to access the files.

Note: Wall mount kit is not included. Only use wall-mounts that match the same size screws and fittings as those listed. It is recommended that two people perform step ‘h’.

a. Measure and double-check the distance of threaded holes on the back panel of the TV before creating any holes in the wall.

b. Use 45mm screws (E) and 38mm screws (D) to attach shaft sleeves (B) and shaft sleddves (C) within the four threaded holes on the back panel of the TV.

c. Use a mounting bracket (A) as a guide to mark the positions for the four holes on the wall with a pencil.

d. Using a drill, create holes in the marked positions on the wall.

e. Insert the four wall anchors (G) into the screw holes in the wall.

f. Place the mounting brackets against the wall, aligned with the wall anchors, ensuring the directional arrow is facing upwards.

g. Fix the mounting brackets with the 55mm self-tapping screws.

h. Attach the TV to the mounting brackets by placing all four shaft sleeves into the larger openings of the brackets, then lowering the TV so that the shaft sleeves “lock” into place within the brackets.

Many minor issues can be resolved by hard resetting or power cycling the unit. To perform a hard reset, please use the following steps:

1. Unplug it from the main power socket and leave it for 10-15 minutes.

2. Press and hold the power button on the TV for 5 seconds.

3. Connect the TV back to the power and turn it on.

• Try a different channel.

• Adjust the antenna.

• Check all connections.

• Try another channel.

• Press the TV/AV button.

• Make sure the TV is plugged in.

• Check the antenna connection.

• Check the volume settings on any external speakers connected to your television.

• Adjust the TV volume accordingly.

• Check another channel or input.

• Check that MUTE hasn’t been turned on.

• Check all connections.

• Make sure the program itself is broadcast in colour.

• Select the picture menu, then adjust the colour and tint submenus.

• Check the direction, location, and connections to your antenna.

• Issues may be caused by the use of an indoor antenna (poor signal).
