What is the UV-1FC?
The UV-1FC is the remote speed controller specifically designed for the Dunlop UV-1 Uni-Vibe® effect pedal.
How do I connect the UV-1FC foot controller to the UV-1 unit?
Using a standard 1/4″ stereo cable, plug one end of the cable into the remote jack located on the UV-1 unit and the other end into the UV-1FC.
What happens to the UV-1’s controls when the UV-1FC is connected?
By connecting the UV-1FC foot controller, the speed and on/off functions on the UV-1 are disabled and have been transferred to the UV-1FC remote.
How do I turn the UV-1 effect on and off using the UV-1FC?
With the UV-1FC in the heel down position, the UV-1 is turned off.
Move the toe down slightly to activate the UV-1 effect.
To turn off the UV-1 effect, move the rocker all the way down to the heel down position.
How do I control the speed of the Uni-Vibe® effect using the UV-1FC?
The speed can be increased by rocking the pedal forward to the toe down position; this corresponds to a speed of approximately 8 Hz (Fast).
To decrease the speed, move the rocker towards the heel down position; this corresponds to a speed of approximately .6 Hz (Slow) before the effect turns off.
What should I do if the UV-1FC foot controller pedal feels too loose or too tight?
If the pedal is too loose or too tight when rocking it, you can adjust the tension. The tension adjustment is located at the rear of the pedal.
A 7/64 allen wrench is required for this adjustment.
Simply turn the allen screw counter-clockwise to loosen the pedal; clockwise to tighten.
Is there any caution I should observe when adjusting the pedal tension on the UV-1FC?
Yes, be careful not to remove the allen screw from the pedal when adjusting the tension.
