CAUTION: Floorstanding loudspeakers have a high center of gravity and may become unstable and tip over during earthquakes or if they are rocked, tipped, or improperly positioned. Consider anchoring these speakers to the wall behind them using procedures and hardware customary for bookcases and wall units. You are responsible for proper selection and installation of hardware. When installing screws, do not over-tighten.

When wall-mounting, avoid in-wall electrical lines and seek professional guidance if you are unclear on how to proceed safely.

Ensure that all electrical components are turned OFF and unplugged from electrical outlets before connecting other components.

To assemble the JBL STAGE 2 250B speaker, apply the four adhesive rubber feet to the bottom corners of the speaker cabinet. This will help to isolate the speaker from the surface it is placed on and prevent it from sliding.

1. Drill the required holes in the wall at the desired location.

2. Insert appropriate wall anchors into the holes and then install the screws, leaving a small gap between the screw head and the wall.

3. Attach the wall-mount bracket to the back of the speaker using the provided screws.

4. Carefully hang the speaker on the screws in the wall, ensuring the bracket is securely seated on the screw heads.

5. Check that the speaker is stable and securely mounted.

For a Dolby Atmos setup, you can use the JBL Stage 240H module. This module is designed to be placed on top of your main speakers to reflect sound off the ceiling, creating an overhead sound effect.

For surround sound applications, speakers like the 240H can be mounted on a wall or stand. These speakers feature a 1/4″-20 threaded insert on the back for use with compatible mounting hardware.

For a 2.0 or 2.1 stereo setup, place the left (L) and right (R) JBL STAGE 2 250B speakers so that they form an angle between 40 and 60 degrees with the main listening position. Both speakers should be equidistant from the listener. For a 2.1 system, a subwoofer (Sub) can be placed in a convenient location, often along the same wall as the front speakers.

For a 5.1 surround sound system:

Front Left (L) and Right (R) Speakers: Place them at an angle of 20 to 30 degrees from the center line of the listening position.

Center (C) Speaker: Place it directly in front of the listening position, typically above or below the display screen.

Left Surround (LS) and Right Surround (RS) Speakers: Place them at an angle of 110 to 120 degrees from the center line, to the sides and slightly behind the listener.

Surround Speaker Height: The surround speakers (such as the 240B/240H models) should be positioned 5 to 6 feet (1.5 m to 1.8 m) above the floor.

For a 7.1 surround sound system:

Front Left (L) and Right (R) Speakers: Place them at an angle of 20 to 30 degrees from the center line of the listening position.

Center (C) Speaker: Place it directly in front of the listening position.

Side Surround Speakers (LS, RS): Place them at an angle of 90 to 110 degrees from the center line, directly to the sides of the listener.

Rear Surround Speakers (LRS, RRS): Place them at an angle of 135 to 150 degrees from the center line, behind the listener.

Surround Speaker Height: The side and rear surround speakers (such as the 240B/240H models) should be positioned 5 to 6 feet (1.5 m to 1.8 m) above the floor.

There are three common ways to connect speaker wires to the binding posts on your JBL STAGE 2 250B:

A. Bare Wire Connection:

1. Unscrew the binding post cap.

2. Insert the bare end of the speaker wire through the hole in the post.

3. Tighten the cap to secure the wire.

B. Spade Connector Connection:

1. Unscrew the binding post cap.

2. Place the spade connector around the metal post.

3. Tighten the cap to secure the connector.

C. Banana Plug Connection:

1. Ensure the binding post caps are fully tightened.

2. Insert the banana plug directly into the hole at the end of the cap.

To connect your JBL STAGE 2 250B speakers, run speaker wire from the corresponding speaker output terminals on your amplifier or receiver to the input terminals on the back of each speaker. It is crucial to maintain correct polarity. Connect the positive (+) terminal on the amplifier to the positive (+) terminal on the speaker, and the negative (-) terminal on the amplifier to the negative (-) terminal on the speaker for each channel.
