The work screen on your JBC JTSE-2UA provides quick access to station parameters. The default PIN is 0105. Here is a breakdown of the screen elements:

Status Bar: Displays icons for system notifications.

Time to Stop: Shows the remaining time for the current operation.

Instant Power Supplied to Heater: Displays the current power percentage being used by the heater.

Hot Air Temp. (Large numbers): Shows the current air temperature.

Selected Air Temp. (Below large numbers): Shows the target air temperature you have set.

Air Flow Selec.: Shows the selected air flow as a percentage.

Current External TC Temp.: Displays the temperature from an optional external thermocouple.

Selected External TC Temp.: Shows the target protection temperature set for the external thermocouple.

The main menu on your JBC JTSE-2UA provides access to several functions:

Station: Set the station parameters.

Counters: Display the hours worked in each cycle.

Language: Choose the display language from a list.

How do I use the Advanced Functionalities (Profiles mode) on my JBC JTSE-2UA?

In Profiles mode, you can set up or edit as many as 25 air flow and temperature profiles. To work with profiles, it is essential to use RWB / RWS / RWT rework arms. The screen will display a graph showing the Hot Air Temp, Ext. TC Temp, and Air Flow over time.

In Edit Mode, you can modify the profile points. The display shows the data for each point, including Temperature, Flow, and Time. The menu options available in Edit Mode are:

How can I view and export soldering process data from my JBC JTSE-2UA?

You can view real-time data and export it for analysis.

Graphics: By pressing Graphics in the main MENU, temperature and power figures in real time are displayed. This helps you decide which nozzle to use to obtain the best quality solder joints. The graph shows Power (%), Temperature, and External Temperature.

Export Graphics: To save your soldering process, insert a USB flash drive into the USB-A connector. The station will save the process in a csv format.


How do I update the software on my JBC JTSE-2UA?

To perform a station update, you must first download the JBC Update File. After downloading, insert the USB flash drive with the file into the station’s USB-A connector to begin the update process.


What do the system notification icons on the status bar of the JBC JTSE-2UA mean?

The following icons may be displayed on the screen’s status bar:

USB flash drive icon: A USB flash drive is connected.

Computer icon: The station is controlled by a PC.

Robot icon: The station is controlled by a robot.

Up arrow icon: Station software update. Press INFO to start the process.

From the Tool Settings Menu, you can select the mode to activate the tool depending on the task.

1. Tool button: Press the start/stop button on the heater hose to blow hot air. The tool stops blowing when pressing the start/stop button again. For safety, if the stand is connected, the tool will also stop when returned to the stand.

2. Pedal (not included): Press the Pedal P405 to blow hot air and release it to stop.


What is the procedure for extracting a component using the JBC JTSE-2UA?

1. Placing: Position the extractor with the appropriate suction cup over the component and press the suction button.

How do I use a Thermocouple Type K with the JBC JTSE-2UA?

Connect a TC type K (PH218) to the station to use it as a protection or regulation sensor. Fix the TC with Kapton Tape (Ref. PH217) as near as possible to the component being worked on. You can define its use mode via the “Ext TC mode” option in the “Tool” menu. There are two work modes:

Regulation: The station automatically regulates the air temperature to maintain the External Thermocouple (TC) temperature.

Protection: The station cuts the air supply off when the External Thermocouple (TC) temperature is reached.

Note: IPC does not recommend exceeding ramp-up rates over 3-4 °C / sec. (5-7 °F / sec) so as to reduce the risk of thermal stress on the PCB.


How do I change the nozzle on the JTT heater of my JBC JTSE-2UA?

Warning: Turn the tool off and handle with care. The heating element and the nozzle are still hot.

1. Removing Nozzle: Place the heating element with its nozzle in the nozzle changer and pull the tool to remove it. The nozzle comes to rest in the nozzle holder.

2. Attaching Nozzle: Attach the nozzle and press the nozzle onto the heating element with the help of the opening in the nozzle exchanger.

What should I do if a nozzle is loosely fitting on my JBC JTSE-2UA?

In case of a loosely fitting nozzle, follow these steps:

1. Push the nozzle tab inwards with a screwdriver or flat-nosed pliers.

2. Assemble the nozzle onto the JTT again.


How do I replace the heating element in the JTT heater for my JBC JTSE-2UA?

Note: Only perform this operation when the element is cold and the unit is disconnected from the mains.

1. Loosen the screw (1) and pull the worn heating element out of the handle (2).

2. Insert the new heating element, make sure it is pushed all the way in (2) and tighten the screw (1).

The replacement heating element for the JTT is JTH2: Ref. 0014107 (230V).


How do I change the JTT Heater Hose Set on my JBC JTSE-2UA?

Note: Only perform this operation when the station is turned off.

1. Use a spanner to unscrew the nut (1) and remove the tool hose from the control unit (2).

2. Insert the new hose, make sure it is pushed all the way into the connector (2), and tighten the nut (1).

The replacement Heater Hose Set is JT-T2A (230V).


What are the regular maintenance tasks for the JBC JTSE-2UA?

Before carrying out maintenance, always allow the equipment to cool.

• Clean the station screen with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth.

• Use a damp cloth to clean the casing and the tool. Alcohol can only be used to clean the metal parts.

• Periodically check that the metal parts of the tool and stand are clean so that the station can detect the tool’s status.

• Periodically check all cables and tubes.

• Replace any defective or damaged pieces. Use original JBC spare parts only.

• Repairs should only be performed by a JBC authorized technical service.

Follow these steps to replace a blown fuse:

1. Pull off the fuse holder and remove the fuse. If necessary, use a tool to lever it off.

2. Insert the new fuse into the fuse holder and return it to the station.

Note: Use only with a 250V fuse. For the JTSE-2UA (230V) model, the input fuse is T4A.

• Utmost care must be taken with liquid tin waste which can cause burns.

• This appliance can be used by children over the age of eight and also people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience provided that they have been given adequate supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance.

• Maintenance must not be carried out by children unless supervised.
