To edit a profile, enter the “Edit Mode”. Here you can see data for specific points in the profile, such as:

• Point (e.g., 2/5)

• Temp (e.g., 250°C)

• Flow (e.g., 60%)

• Time (e.g., 2m 30s)

The “Menu Options” available in edit mode are:

• Add point

• Delete point

• Load profile

• Save profile

• Exit

How can I view and export real-time graphics on the JBC JTSE-9UA?

2. Heating: Heat the component with the hot air tool.

3. Extracting: The component will lift off automatically when the solder melts.

How should I use protectors and extractors with the JBC JTSE-9UA for small and large components?

The recommended method depends on the component size:

For small components: It is recommended to use the protector + tripod setup. Place the protector over the component and use the tripod to hold the hot air tool.

For large components: It is recommended to use the manual extractors. Position the extractor over the component and heat it manually.

How do I use a Type K Thermocouple with the JBC JTSE-9UA?

Connect a TC type K (PH218) to the station to use it as a protection or regulation sensor. You can define its use mode via the “Ext TC mode” option in the “Tool” menu. Fix the TC with Kapton Tape (Ref. PH217) as near as possible to the component being worked on. If Kapton tape is not ESD, you must use an ionizer.

There are two work modes:

Regulation: The station automatically regulates the air temperature to maintain the External Thermocouple (TC) temperature at a set value.

Protection: The station cuts the air supply off when the External Thermocouple (TC) temperature reaches a set value.

IPC does not recommend exceeding ramp-up rates over 3-4 °C / sec. (5-7 °F / sec) to reduce the risk of thermal stress on the PCB.
