Charging your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400 headphones takes about 2 hours for up to 11 hours of use. You have two options for charging:

1. Using the included cord with a USB on one end and a micro USB on the other, you can charge the headphones with your computer.

2. To use a wall outlet, you will need a power cord with a micro USB connector or use any USB AC adapter, such as the one for your cell phone. Please note that an AC adapter is not included.

The controls on your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400 headphones are as follows:

1. Turn the music up (+): Press to increase the volume.

2. Turn the music down (-): Press to decrease the volume.

3. Skip back a track (<<): Press to go to the previous track.

4. Play/Pause/Power: Push it to play, push it again to pause. Press and hold for 6 seconds to power on.

5. Jam on to the next song (>>): Press to skip to the next track.

6. LED light: This light indicates what your headphones are doing.

7. Power cord port: The charging cord goes here.

8. Aux-in port: Use this port to hook up a wired connection.

The LED light on your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400 headphones indicates its current status:

Pairing Mode: The light will be blinking.

Connected: The light will be solid.

Low Battery: The light will indicate a low battery level.

Charging: The light will show that the headphones are charging.

Ready to Party: The light indicates the headphones are on and ready to connect.

To set up a Bluetooth connection with your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400 headphones, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the smartphone, tablet, or computer you’re using with the headphones has Bluetooth enabled.

2. Turn on the headphones by pressing and holding the play/pause button for 6 seconds. Look for the little blinking light, which indicates it’s in pairing mode.

3. Do whatever your device needs you to do on its end to search for Bluetooth devices.

4. Look for “Jam Transit Lite Headphones” in your device’s Bluetooth list and select it or click YES.

5. Now hit PLAY on your headphones and adjust the volume as desired.

The device and Bluetooth will find each other every time, as long as the headphones are set to Bluetooth and your device’s Bluetooth is on. If you are connecting to a computer, you may need to follow additional steps provided by the computer company. If prompted for a pairing code, enter “0000”.

Note: If you turn on your Transit Lite Headphones but do not pair them, they will automatically power off after 2 minutes of unpaired inactivity.

To use a wired connection with your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400 headphones, follow these instructions:

1. Plug one end of the aux cord into the headphones and the other end into the headphone jack on your device.

2. Turn on the headphones.

3. Press PLAY on your device and adjust the volume up or down.

When using the aux cord, you will need to play and pause the music from your device, not your headphones. To return to Bluetooth mode, you must first remove the aux cord and then turn the headphones on again.

Your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400 headphones have a hands-free calling feature. Here’s how it works:

1. Ensure your phone and headphones are connected through Bluetooth.

2. To answer or end a call, simply click the PLAY/PAUSE button on your headphones.

3. To ignore an incoming call, hold down the PLAY/PAUSE button for 1.5 seconds.

The headphones will automatically pause your music when a call comes in and resume it from where it left off after you hang up. If you are making a call from your phone, the headphones will automatically switch to hands-free mode.

You can manage phone calls using short and long presses of the Play/Pause button on your JAM TRANSIT LITE HX-HP400. Refer to the chart below for a complete guide.
