The recommended operating environment for the HP COLOR LASERJET MANAGED MFP E47528 is a temperature between 10°C and 32.5°C (50°F and 91°F) and a relative humidity level between 10% and 80%.

First, remove the HP COLOR LASERJET MANAGED MFP E47528 from its box. Then, carefully remove all the protective tape and packing materials from the exterior and interior of the printer before proceeding with the setup.

Step 1. Pull the paper tray completely out of the printer.

Step 2. Squeeze the adjustment latches on the paper-length and paper-width guides, and then slide the guides to match the size of the paper you are using.

Step 3. Load the paper stack into the tray.

Step 4. Ensure the paper stack is flat at all four corners and the top of the stack is below the tray-full indicators. Adjust the guides so they lightly touch the paper stack but do not bend it.

Step 5. Slide the paper tray back into the printer until it is fully closed.

Network Connection:

If you are connecting the printer to a network, connect the network cable at this stage. Do not connect a USB cable at this time. Note that cables are not included with the printer.

Power Connection and Initial Setup:

Step 1. Connect the provided power cable between the printer and a grounded AC outlet.

Step 2. Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Step 3. On the “Initial Setup” screen on the printer’s control panel, set the language, location, date/time format, and other features.

Ensure your power source is adequate for the printer’s voltage rating, which can be found on the printer label. The HP COLOR LASERJET MANAGED MFP E47528 uses either 100-127 Vac or 220-240 Vac and 50/60 Hz. To prevent damage to the printer, use only the power cable that is provided with it.

For advanced setup of a network-connected HP COLOR LASERJET MANAGED MFP E47528, you can find the printer’s IP address once it is in a ready state. On the control panel, select the Information button (i), and then select the Ethernet icon to display the IP address.

The HP COLOR LASERJET MANAGED MFP E47528 uses an analog fax device. For best performance, it is recommended to connect the printer to a dedicated analog telephone line. Please note that a fax cord may or may not be included with the product.
