This manual applies to the following Hikvision camera models:

When using the HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LPFS camera, you must adhere to the following safety warnings to prevent serious injury or death:

• Strictly comply with the electrical safety regulations of your nation and region.

• The input voltage must meet both SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and the Limited Power Source with 12 VDC according to IEC60950-1 and IEC62368-1 standards. Refer to technical specifications for detailed information.

• The socket-outlet must be installed near the equipment and be easily accessible.

• An all-pole mains switch should be incorporated into the building’s electrical installation.

• Do not connect multiple devices to a single power adapter to avoid overheating or fire hazards caused by an overload.

• Ensure the plug is firmly connected to the power socket.

• If you notice smoke, odor, or noise from the device, turn off the power immediately, unplug the power cord, and contact the service center.

• Never attempt to disassemble the camera yourself; it should only be done by a professional.

To prevent potential injury or material damage to your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LPFS camera, follow these cautions:

• Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, on the equipment.

• Install the equipment according to the instructions in this manual.

• To prevent injury, the equipment must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with installation instructions.

• Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.

• Do not touch the sensor modules with your fingers.

• Do not place the camera in extremely hot, cold (operating temperature is -40°C to 60°C), dusty, or damp locations. Do not expose it to high electromagnetic radiation.

• If cleaning is necessary, use a clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe it gently.

• Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extra bright places.

• The sensor can be burned out by a laser beam. If any laser equipment is in use, ensure the sensor surface is not exposed to the laser beam.

• To avoid heat accumulation, ensure good ventilation for the operating environment.

• For non-water-proof models, keep the camera away from liquid during use.

• When transporting the camera, it should be in its original packing or packing of the same texture.

The beam of light at a distance of 200 mm is classified as Risk Group 1 (RG1). Possible hazardous optical radiation is emitted from this product.

• DO NOT stare at the operating light source, as it may be harmful to the eyes.

• Wear appropriate eye protection or turn on the supplement light only at a safe distance (0.3 m) or in an area that is not directly exposed to the light when installing or maintaining the device.

Please follow the steps below to call and navigate the menu. Note that the actual display may vary with your camera model.

Steps to call the menu:

1. Connect the camera with the TVI DVR and the monitor.

2. Power on the camera, TVI DVR, and monitor to view the image on the monitor.

3. Click PTZ Control to enter the PTZ Control interface.

4. Call the camera menu by clicking the corresponding button or by calling preset No. 95.

Steps to navigate the menu:

1. Click the up/down direction buttons to select menu options.

2. Click Iris + to confirm the selection.

3. Click the left/right direction buttons to adjust the value of the selected option.

The available video formats depend on the camera’s capabilities. The supported formats are listed below:

You can adjust the exposure by setting the EXPOSURE MODE to GLOBAL, BLC, HLC, or DWDR.

• GLOBAL: This is the normal exposure mode which adjusts lighting distribution, variations, and non-standard processing.

• BLC (Backlight Compensation): Compensates light for an object in the foreground to make it clear. This may cause over-exposure of the background where the light is strong.

• HLC (Highlight Compensation): The camera detects strong spots (over-exposed portions of the image) and reduces their brightness to improve the overall image.

• DWDR (Digital Wide Dynamic Range): Gives the camera the ability to view dark areas and extremely light portions of an image simultaneously, or areas of high contrast.

You can also adjust the AGC (Auto Gain Control) to optimize image clarity in poor light conditions. The AGC level can be set to HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW. Note that noise will be amplified when setting the AGC level.

The HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LPFS camera offers IR and WHITE LIGHT modes.

IR LIGHT

• IR LIGHT: You can turn the IR LIGHT on or off to meet the requirements of different circumstances.

• SMART IR: This function adjusts the light to its most suitable intensity to prevent the image from over-exposure.

• D→N Threshold (Day to Night Threshold): Controls the sensitivity of switching from day mode to night mode. The value can be set from 1 to 9; a larger value means the camera is more sensitive.

• N→D Threshold (Night to Day Threshold): Controls the sensitivity of switching from night mode to day mode. The value can be set from 1 to 9; a larger value means the camera is more sensitive.

WHITE LIGHT

In the WHITE LIGHT sub-menu, you can set the mode to OFF or AUTO.

• OFF: Disables this function.

• AUTO: Enables automatic white light. You can set the THRESHOLD and LEVEL in this section.

• THRESHOLD: The higher the threshold, the more sensitive the device is to a dark environment.

• LEVEL: Adjusts the maximum brightness of the supplement light.

Move the cursor to VIDEO SETTINGS and click Iris+ to enter the submenu. The following settings are adjustable:

• IMAGE MODE: Adjusts image saturation. You can set it to STD (Standard), HIGH-SAT (High Saturation), or HIGHLIGHT (better indoor facial details).

• WHITE BALANCE: Adjusts the color temperature according to the environment to remove unrealistic color casts. You can set it to AUTO or MANUAL. In MANUAL mode, you can set the R-GAIN/B-GAIN value to adjust the shades of red/blue color.

• BRIGHTNESS: Refers to the brightness of the image. Set the value from 1 to 9 to darken or brighten the image.

• CONTRAST: Enhances the difference in color and light between parts of an image.

• SHARPNESS: Determines the amount of detail the imaging system can reproduce.

• SATURATION: Adjusts the proportion of pure chromatic color in the total color sensation.

• DNR (Digital Noise Reduction): This function reduces noise in the video stream.

Under the AUDIO SETTINGS sub-menu, you can set the mode to ON or OFF. Adjust the VOLUME to a higher value to raise the volume.

To reset all settings except the video format to factory defaults, navigate to the FACTORY DEFAULT option in the main menu and confirm the selection.

To save your settings and exit the menu, move the cursor to SAVE & EXIT and click Iris+.

To exit the menu without saving changes, move the cursor to EXIT and click Iris+.
