• Do not aim the camera at the sun or other extra bright places.

• The sensor can be burned out by a laser beam. If any laser equipment is in use, make sure the surface of the sensor is not exposed to the laser beam.

• Good ventilation is required to avoid heat accumulation.

• Keep the camera away from liquid if it is a non-water-proof device.

• During delivery, the camera should be packed in its original packaging or packing of the same texture.

• Wear appropriate eye protection or only turn on the supplement light at a safe distance (0.3 m) or in an area not directly exposed to the light when installing or maintaining the device. DO NOT stare at the operating light source, as it may be harmful to the eyes.

Please follow the steps below to call the menu for your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS. Note that the actual display may vary with your camera model.

1. Connect the camera to the TVI DVR and the monitor.

2. Power on the camera, TVI DVR, and monitor to view the image on the monitor.

3. Click “PTZ Control” to enter the PTZ Control interface.

4. Call the camera menu by clicking the appropriate button or by calling preset No. 95.

5. Use the direction buttons to control the camera menu:

• Click up/down direction buttons to select menu options.

• Click Iris + to confirm the selection.

• Click left/right direction buttons to adjust the value of the selected option.

On your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS, you can set the EXPOSURE MODE to GLOBAL, BLC, HLC, or DWDR.

• GLOBAL: This refers to the normal exposure mode which adjusts lighting distribution, variations, and non-standard processing.

• BLC (Backlight Compensation): BLC compensates light for an object in the foreground to make it clearer, but this may cause over-exposure of the background where the light is strong.

• HLC (Highlight Compensation): HLC detects strong spots (over-exposed portions of the image) and reduces their brightness to improve the overall image.

• DWDR (Digital Wide Dynamic Range): This gives the camera the ability to view dark areas and extremely bright portions of an image simultaneously, or areas with high contrast.

Auto Gain Control (AGC) on your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS optimizes the clarity of the image in poor light conditions. The AGC level can be set to HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW. Note that the noise will be amplified when setting the AGC level.

The HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS offers IR and WHITE LIGHT modes.

IR LIGHT

• You can turn the IR LIGHT on or off to meet the requirements of different circumstances.

SMART IR

• The Smart IR function adjusts the light to its most suitable intensity, preventing the image from over-exposure.

D→ N Threshold (Day to Night Threshold)

• This controls the sensitivity of switching from day mode to night mode. You can set the value from 1 to 9. A larger value makes the camera more sensitive.

N→ D Threshold (Night to Day Threshold)

• This controls the sensitivity of switching from night mode to day mode. You can set the value from 1 to 9. A larger value makes the camera more sensitive.

WHITE LIGHT

Under the WHITE LIGHT sub-menu, you can set the mode to OFF or AUTO.

• OFF: Set to OFF to disable this function.

• AUTO: In this mode, you can set THRESHOLD and LEVEL.

• THRESHOLD: The higher the threshold, the more sensitive the device is to a dark environment.

• LEVEL: You can adjust the maximum brightness of the supplement light.

In the VIDEO SETTINGS submenu of your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS, you can adjust IMAGE MODE, WHITE BALANCE, BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, SHARPNESS, SATURATION, and DNR.

IMAGE MODE

This is used to adjust image saturation. You can set it to:

• STD (Standard)

• HIGH-SAT (High Saturation)

• HIGHLIGHT (better for indoor facial details)

WHITE BALANCE

This function adjusts the color temperature according to the environment to remove unrealistic color casts. You can set the mode to AUTO or MANUAL.

• MANUAL: You can manually set the R-GAIN/B-GAIN value to adjust the shades of red/blue color in the image.

BRIGHTNESS

This refers to the brightness of the image. You can set the value from 1 to 9 to darken or brighten the image. A greater value results in a brighter image.

CONTRAST

This feature enhances the difference in color and light between parts of an image.

SHARPNESS

Sharpness determines the amount of detail an imaging system can reproduce.

SATURATION

Saturation is the proportion of pure chromatic color. Adjust this feature to change the saturation of the color.

DNR

DNR refers to digital noise reduction. This function reduces noise in the video stream.

Under the AUDIO SETTINGS sub-menu on your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS, you can set the mode to ON or OFF. You can also adjust the VOLUME to a higher value to raise the volume.

To reset your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS, navigate to the FACTORY DEFAULT option in the menu. This will reset all settings, except for the video format, to their factory defaults.

To save your changes and exit the menu on your HIKVISION DS-2CE16D0T-LFS, move the cursor to SAVE & EXIT and click Iris+ to save the settings and exit. If you wish to exit without saving, move the cursor to EXIT and click Iris+.
