What are the installation precautions regarding ceiling thickness and maximum load?

The ceiling thickness must be between 10 mm and 60 mm (0.4 in to 2.4 in).

The maximum load the ceiling must support is 3 kg (6.6 lb).

Ensure the ceiling material can withstand the weight and the pressure from the spring clips.

What size hole needs to be cut in the ceiling for installation?

A hole with a diameter of Ø140 mm (5.51″) needs to be cut in the ceiling. You can use the provided Installation Guide Sticker as a template.

How is the mount secured in the ceiling?

Push the in-ceiling mount base through the prepared hole in the ceiling. The spring clips on the sides will automatically spring outwards above the ceiling material, securing the mount in place.

What should be done before mounting the camera module into the base?

Connect the necessary cables to the camera module before inserting it into the mounted base.

How do I secure the camera module to the mount base?

Insert the camera module into the mount base aligned with the guides, then rotate it clockwise (towards the “FASTEN” indicator) until it locks securely in place.

How can I verify the camera module is correctly secured in the mount base?

Ensure the locking clips on the camera module are fully engaged and sit flush with the mount base surface. If the clips are raised or not properly seated, the module is not correctly installed.

How do I attach the SHD-1100FW or SHD-1101FW camera body to the module?

Align the camera body with the installed module and secure it using two TR20 screws. Tighten the screws to a torque of 0.8N-m (0.6lb.ft).

How do I attach the SHD-1200FW camera body to the module?

Align the camera body with the installed module and secure it using two TR20 screws. Tighten the screws to a torque of 0.8N-m (0.6lb.ft).

How do I attach the dome cover?

Place the dome cover over the camera body and secure it using two TR10 screws.

How do I attach the Top Cover?

Align the tabs on the Top Cover with the corresponding slots on the installed mount base. Push the Top Cover upwards until it clicks firmly into place, flush with the ceiling.
