The remote control for the GRUNDIG VCR 3129 L has the following functions:

1. Display screen: Shows the current settings and status.

2. HOME recharging: Sends the robot back to the charging unit.

3. Weekly scheduling: Sets a cleaning schedule for the week.

4. Direction buttons: Manually controls the robot’s movement (only available in standby mode).

5. Start/stop: Starts or pauses the cleaning cycle.

6. Maximum mode: Activates the highest suction power.

7. Timing: Sets the clock.

8. Selection of cleaning programme (Mode button): Cycles through different cleaning modes. The suction power is adjusted with the Mode button.

You can charge your GRUNDIG VCR 3129 L using either the adapter directly or the charging unit. It is important to completely charge the appliance before its initial use, which takes approximately 5 to 6 hours.

Charging with the adapter:

Attach the lead of the power adapter directly to the robot’s charging socket (5) and plug the adapter into a power outlet.

Charging with the charging unit:

1. Place the charging unit (14) against a wall. Remove any obstacles within a 1-2 meter distance of the charging unit.

2. Attach the lead of the charging adapter (16) to the charging station.

3. If the appliance is off, turn it on by switching the power button (6) from the “OFF” to “ON” state.

4. The blue light on the charging unit will stay lit while the unit is active.

Indicator Light Status During Charging:

• The indicator on the appliance will blink red while charging.

• After completely charging, the indicator on the appliance will remain blue.

• When the battery is low in standby mode, the indicator will blink twice in a second.

• When the battery is low in cleaning mode, the appliance will automatically find the charging unit, and the indicator will remain a constant red color.

Your GRUNDIG VCR 3129 L has several cleaning modes that can be activated either from the unit itself or the remote controller.

• Automatic cleaning: Press the “AUTO” button on the appliance or the “Start/stop” button on the remote control. The robot will clean the entire area following a zigzag route and return to the charging station when finished.

• Edge cleaning: Press the “MODE” button on the remote controller until “MODE1” is displayed. The appliance will clean the edges of the wall and return to the charging unit when done.

• Area cleaning: Press the “MODE” button on the remote controller until “MODE2” is displayed. The appliance will clean a 2m x 2m area where it is located and then switch to standby mode.

• Random Cleaning: Press the “MODE” button on the remote controller until “MODE3” is displayed. The robot will clean the room following a random route until the battery runs out, then it will return to the charging unit to recharge.

• Intense cleaning: Press the “MODE” button on the remote controller until “MODE4” is displayed. The robot will operate two laps of cleaning in a zigzag route and then return to the charging unit.

• Maximum cleaning: Press the “MAX” button on the remote controller. The appliance’s cleaning route will be the same as in automatic cleaning, but it will switch to maximum suction mode for a more extensive cleaning.

You can schedule your GRUNDIG VCR 3129 L to start cleaning automatically at a scheduled time using the remote controller.

Setting the schedule time:

1. First, set the current time by pushing and holding the “CLK” button on the remote. Use the up/down buttons to change digits and left/right buttons to proceed to the next digit. Press “CLK” again to set the time.

2. Ensure the robot is in standby or charging state. Push and hold the “PLAN” button on the remote controller to switch to scheduling mode.

3. Blinking digits will be displayed. This is the delay time. For example, if it is 8 AM and you set the delay to 01:00, the robot will start cleaning in 1 hour, at 9 AM. Use the left and right buttons to proceed to the next digit to be set.

4. Once set, push the “ON/OFF” button. You will hear a short beep sound if the scheduling was successful.

5. You can return to the home screen by pushing and holding the “PLAN” button.

Note: A scheduled hour is only available for one hour. If the main switch is turned off before the scheduled time, the schedule will be cancelled.

Cancelling a programme time:

When the remote controller is in scheduling mode, push and hold the “ON/OFF” button again. 00:00 will be displayed on the screen. Then, push the “ON/OFF” button again to cancel the programme time. If successful, the appliance will make a beep sound twice. You can return to the home screen by pushing and holding the “PLAN” button.

The mop feature is available on the VCR 3130 model. To operate the mop:

1. Attach the mop attachment to the cloth duct and stretch the mop cloth to fix it on the fasteners.

2. Open the water container (11) lid, fill it with water, and close the lid.

3. Turn the appliance upside down. Place the mop attachment ducts on the ducts found on the bottom of the appliance and push until you hear a clicking noise.

4. To remove the mop attachment, push the left and right buttons at the same time and pull the attachment.

For optimal performance, regularly clean the dust container and filters.

Important Notes:

• Do not wash the HEPA Filter. Clean it with a brush after each cleaning session.

• The HEPA filter (10) is a replaceable accessory with an expected lifespan of approximately 4 months. Since wet filters may cause decreased performance, replace them with new ones if they get wet.

Cleaning Steps:

1. Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning.

2. To open the top cover (1), lift it from the part shown with arrows using your fingers.

3. Open the cover.

4. Remove the dust container (9), holding it by the handle.

5. Remove the filter frame and the filter.

6. Empty the dust container (9). Only the dust container may be washed under running water.

7. Once the dust container is completely dry, re-attach the filter and the filter frame.

Cleaning the sensor and wheels:

Clean regularly according to the amount of dust accumulated. Use a soft fiberglass cloth to clean the sensor and the wheels, the charging contact points on the charging unit (14), and the charging contact points on the appliance.

Cleaning the rotating brush group:

1. Remove the rotating brush group from the appliance.

2. Clean the group using a soft fiberglass cloth. The rotating brush may be washed under running water.

3. Note: After washing, please wait until the rotating brush group is completely dry before re-installing.

Cleaning side brushes:

1. Check if the side brushes are damaged or contain foreign substances.

2. Clean the side brushes using cleaning tools or a mopping cloth.

3. In case of a kink or deformation, keep the side brushes in hot water for 5 seconds.

4. If damaged, replace the side brushes.

Storage:

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, store it carefully.

• Unplug the appliance.

• Ensure the appliance is kept out of reach of children.

• If you will not be using the appliance for a long period, keep it in a cool and dry place at a half-charged condition. Do not charge or discharge it completely.

Transport and shipping:

• During transport and shipping, carry the appliance in its original packaging to protect it against physical damage.

• Do not put heavy objects on the appliance or its packaging, as this may cause damage.

• If the appliance is dropped, it may not operate, or permanent damage may occur.
