How should I initially charge the FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273?

During the first use of the product, place the product in a place with sufficient direct sunlight for first charging at a minimum time for 2-3 days in the OFF switch position. When the sky is overcast, this period should be extended.

What factors affect the performance and operating time of the FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273?

The operating life of the product will be less if the ambient temperature is higher than 45°C or lower than -10°C.

When the lamp is in a location that receives less sunlight, it will operate for fewer hours per night. Insufficient charging will affect performance and may result in the lamp going off before dawn. The solar panel is best directed as much as possible towards the south to maximize exposure to direct sunlight.

The four different seasons can affect the lighting time. The solar light will work longer in summer than during winter. Your solar lights will produce more hours of operation when installed in an area free from cover, shade, or shadowing. Due to low sunlight intensity and severe weather in autumn and winter, the total lighting time will be reduced.

Select a location that is not close to other light sources, such as street lighting, as this enables the lamp to be switched off automatically. Maximum lighting time depends on sunlight and daytime charging. Minimum charging time is 5-7 hours in direct sunlight.

If snow or ice is on top of the solar panel, please remove it at all times so the battery can be charged correctly.

How can I check the battery status of my FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273?

The battery level can be checked by the FLINQ app at all times (except when empty).

What should I do during winter or when sunshine is limited with my FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273?

During winter time or when the sunshine duration is short, it is suggested to switch to power OFF and charge when sunlight is available before powering ON again.

What are the battery warnings for the FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273?

New batteries must be recharged and discharged 3-5 times before their full function use time is released. Charge indoors only at room temperature and only under supervision during daytime. Disconnect from the charger when the battery is fully charged, as overcharging can shorten battery life. Lithium batteries should only be charged with constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV). When not in usage, the charge in a fully charged battery slowly disappears. Do not place the product near a heat source or expose it to direct sunlight, dust, moisture, rain or mechanical impact. Try to keep the battery temperature between 0°C and 45°C at all times. If the battery is too hot or too cold, the product may not work temporarily, even if it is fully charged. Do not attempt to charge the device when the battery is damaged. The rechargeable battery is built into the device and can be replaced. Do not throw the battery into the fire, otherwise it may explode. After 3 months long storage, need to completely discharged and recharge for at least 80%. The battery used in this device may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, short contacts, heat above 60°C (140°F), or incinerate. Keep away from children.

How do I turn the FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273 on and off?

Light on

Push the ON/OFF button to ON to activate the lamp and the green led indicator will turn on. The lamp will turn ON automatically at sunset/night and will go OFF during sunrise/day (or when the battery is empty).

Light off

If you push the ON/OFF button to OFF again, the lamp is turned OFF completely and the green led indicator is off. The solar cells will charge the battery without activating the lamp. Leave the lamp in this position for at least 2 or 3 sunny days so the battery can be fully charged before using it or when not in use for a longer period of time to protect the battery.

How do the different modes work on the FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273?

When powered ON by the ON button, the default factory setting is “auto motion detection sensor mode”. It is suggested to use this mode at all times for the most convenient use as it stays off and charges during the daytime and will be ON at night/evening.

When you press the MODE button once, the lamp will go into “manual” mode. This means the lamp will be always ON (without motion detection sensor) at all times and will only be OFF when switched off by the app or when the battery is fully empty.

When you press the MODE button for a second time, it will cancel the “manual” mode and switch off the lamp completely. Pressing the MODE button again will return it to “auto motion sensor mode”.

How can I tell if the battery of my FLINQ SMART OUTDOOR GAIA FQC8273 is charging or full?

During solar charge, the red charging indicator will be ON if there is enough sun received by the solar panel. When the red light is OFF and GREEN is ON, it means the battery is fully charged. The battery level can be checked by the FLINQ app.

Please do not immerse the main unit in water; it is not waterproof.
