The Shape Talker + Switch can be wiped clean with any mild household multi-purpose cleaner and disinfectant. We recommend Simple Green, which is a non-toxic biodegradable all-purpose cleaner.

Do not submerge the unit, as it will damage the contents and the electrical components.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the surface of the unit.

Carefully turn over the unit to reveal the battery compartment.

Observing polarity, install four AAA Alkaline batteries (e.g. Duracell or Energizer Brand) only (Not included) into the holder.

Do not use rechargeable or any non-alkaline type batteries as they will not work in this device.

The microphone and red “RECORD” button are located on the SIDE panel of the unit.

To record, depress and hold the “RECORD” button, then depress one of the 4 recess shapes plates and speak into the microphone.

Release both once recording is finished.

Each of the remaining shapes can be “programmed” in the same manner.

The unit will retain recorded information indefinitely, even if the battery is disconnected. Previously stored information will be erased only when a new recording is performed.

Playback your message by pressing and releasing the same shape used to record.

Playback volume can be adjusted using the control provided on the side panel of the unit, next to the “RECORD” button.

Turn the unit off by rotating the “VOLUME” control knob located on the side of the unit counterclockwise until you hear an audible “click”.

Simply attach the toy or device to the 1/8 inch female jack located on the side of the Shape Talker, using the cord provided. There is only one jack.

When any of the shape/discs are pressed, the message will play and the toy or device will be activated.

Make sure all connections are tight with no gaps between plug and device.

The memory of this unit is capable of holding up to 20 seconds of speech information total. This memory is divided into four equal segments, 5 seconds each.

Make sure there are no obstacles between the colored shapes/discs and the recessed switch plates.

Remove the batteries for 20 seconds to reset the unit.

If the unit still does not work correctly after the batteries are re-installed, replace the batteries with new alkaline batteries (E.G Duracell or Energizer Brand).

Do not use rechargeable batteries.
