The box for the DIGITECH XC6012 contains the following items:

The functions of the remote control buttons are as follows:

Power: Turns on or off the device.

Mute: Mutes audio (separate to TV).

Red MEDIA: Opens the Video app.

Green TV: Opens the Photo app.

Yellow WEB: Opens the Browser app.

Blue APP: Opens the Apps list.

VOL-: Turns down audio (separate to TV).

Rewind: Rewinds current playback.

Fast Forward: Fast forwards current playback.

VOL+: Turns up audio (separate to TV).

HOME: Goes back to the Home Screen.

RETURN: Returns to the previous page.

Arrows: Navigates around the interface.

MENU: Brings up a context-sensitive menu.

MOUSE: Enables mouse-like operation.

Numpad: Used for text input.

Numpad Mode: Swaps numpad from numbers to letters.

Delete: Deletes the most recent character.

You can connect the DIGITECH XC6012 to your television using either an HDMI cable for high definition output or an AV cable for standard definition.

Turn on the DIGITECH XC6012 TV box. The indicator light will be blue. It will enter into the main menu in about 30 seconds.

You can add apps that you usually use to the home screen according to your preference. Please tick the apps you need to add them. Tick them again when you don’t need them on the home screen anymore.

Move to “My Apps” and press OK to enter. You will see icons for all the different functions and applications on the device.

Move to “Browser” and press OK to enter. This provides a convenient way to go to your desired website. Please note that you must go to the system settings to set up the internet connection before entering the website.

Move to “FileExplorer” and press OK to enter the device list. When you insert a USB device or SD/SDHC/MMC card, a “Device is mounting” sign will appear on the screen. Within FileExplorer, you can cut, copy, paste, and move files and folders between the local disk and the external storage card.

Move to “Downloads” and press OK to enter. You can check the status here when downloading apks from the internet.

Go to Settings and select “Wi-Fi”. The system will start scanning for available Wi-Fi networks around you automatically. Press OK to choose your Wi-Fi network and enter your password. After authenticating the IP address, Wi-Fi is available when “connected” is shown. Alternatively, you can use the external LAN port for a wired internet connection.

To back up App data, Wi-Fi passwords, Browser bookmarks, and other personal device settings with Google servers, follow these steps:

1. Click the APPS button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Click on the Settings.

3. Click “Backup & Reset”.

4. Check “Back up my data”.

A factory data reset will erase all data from your device’s internal storage, including your Google account, system and app data, downloaded apps, music, photos, and other user data. To erase all custom data on your device:

1. Click the APPS button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Click on the Settings.

3. Click “Backup & Reset”.

4. Click “Factory data reset”.

5. Click “Reset device”.

To install an app, you must first be logged into your Google account. Then:

a. Click the APPS button at the bottom of the screen.

b. Click on the Play Store.

c. Search for the app you want.

d. Click the green “Install” button if it’s free, or the same green button that has the app’s listed price (this will incur charges to your Google account).

To uninstall an app:

a. Find the app within APKinstaller.

b. Click it.

c. You will then get a page with “Install”, “Manage”, and “Exit”.

d. Click “Manage”.

e. You will get a list of all installed apps.

f. Find the app that you want to uninstall (e.g., “Chrome”), you will get a page as below, then click uninstall.

Check if the power adaptor is properly connected to the power source and the TV Box. Then, press the power button on the remote controller to turn on the power.

Try to reconnect the device with the HDMI cable or AV cable. Also, check if the TV is switched on and set to the correct input.

Adjust the volume. Also, check that the speakers are connected correctly.

Check the digital connections. Also, check if your amplifier is set correctly.

Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the TV Box. Reduce the distance to the TV Box. If it still doesn’t work, replace the batteries in the remote control.

Operations may not be permitted for certain media. This could also be due to a system halt. Re-insert the power adaptor to restart the device.

The audio codec may not be supported by the TV Box. You can change to the supported audio on the playing menu. Also, check the volume level.

The USB flash drive format may not be compatible with the box. If one of the USB drives cannot be read, please turn off the TV Box for 30 seconds and then restart it.

A large file size or a high-resolution USB flash drive takes a longer time to read and display on the TV screen.

Check the connection between the TV and the HDMI jack of the box. Check your TV system setup. Also, check the volume level.

Turn off your TV Box, wait 30 seconds, and then turn it on again. If you are using an HDMI connection, check if the connection is correct or try a different HDMI cable. Set the output resolution of the TV Box to 720p.
