To insert or remove a microSD card, follow these steps:

Inserting the card:

1. Insert a microSD card (minimum Class 10, 16GB) into the camera’s card slot.

2. Push the card firmly until it clicks and locks into place.

Removing the card:

1. It is best to power the camera off first to avoid corrupted recordings.

2. Press the end of the microSD card inwards until it clicks.

3. The card will be released from the slot. You can then pull the memory card out.

Note: The card slot is spring-loaded, so be careful that the card does not eject freely. The microSD card is sold separately and must be Class-10 or UHS-1 rated, with a capacity between 16GB and 400GB.

1. Before its first use, the microSD card must be formatted in the BLUESKYSEA B2W dash camera itself using the format menu option.

2. Formatting permanently erases all data on the card. For best performance, format the card periodically, after backing up any important files.

3. IMPORTANT: 256GB and 400GB microSD cards must be formatted again in the camera after being formatted on a Windows computer.

The loop recording times for the BLUESKYSEA B2W vary based on the resolution setting and the memory card size. Below are the approximate times (*d=day; h=hour; m=minute):

1. Insert a memory card into the camera.

2. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the camera to a USB power bank or a 5V USB phone wall charger. Do not plug it into a computer for this test.

3. The camera should power on and start recording automatically within a few seconds. The screen will show the video output from both front and cabin cameras.

4. If needed, format the microSD card using the dash camera’s menu to ensure recording can start.

• Recording Mode: This is the default mode on power-up. A red dot will flash on the screen.

• Standby Mode: From Recording mode, press the OK button to stop recording and enter Standby mode. The red dot will disappear from the screen.

• Menu Mode: First, enter Standby mode. Then, press the Menu [M] button to enter the Menu. Press the Menu [M] button again to exit.

• Playback Mode: First, enter Standby mode. Then, press the Lock [▲] button to enter Playback mode. Press the Lock [▲] button again to exit.

• Wi-Fi Mode: To switch on Wi-Fi, long press (hold for 5 seconds) the Menu Down/Wi-Fi button. The screen will display the Wi-Fi SSID and password. To switch off Wi-Fi, long press the Down button again.

1. Insert a memory card into the camera card slot.

2. Slide the adhesive mount horizontally into the slot on the back of the camera.

3. Select a location on the windshield, usually just below the rear-view mirror. The front lens must have a clear view through the area swept by the windshield wipers, and the cabin lens should be able to see under the mirror. It should not obstruct the driver’s view.

4. Wipe the chosen area of the windshield with a dry cloth to ensure it is clean and grease-free. Use detergent or an alcohol-based wipe if necessary.

5. Peel the protection film off the 3M adhesive pad and off the camera lenses.

6. Fix the camera to the selected location, ensuring both camera lenses are vertical. Push the mount firmly against the glass for 10 seconds for a good bond.

7. Plug the USB charger into the car’s 12V DC accessory/cigarette lighter socket.

8. Adjust the lens angle. Look at the live view on the screen. Adjust the lens up/down by folding the mount so the horizon is halfway up the image. Adjust the angle of the lenses left/right by rotating the lens units if necessary.

9. The camera can be disconnected from the USB charger and slid off its mount, leaving the mount attached to the glass.

• Do not install the camera in a location that interferes with the driver’s visibility and safety.

• Comply with any local laws which may limit the position of the camera.

• Install the camera slightly below the rearview mirror so both sides of the scene are equally covered by the camera’s field of view.

• Position the lens within the windshield wiper’s sweeping range to ensure a clear view on rainy days.

• Do not install or mount the camera or its cables near an airbag panel or within the airbag’s working range. The manufacturer is not liable for injury or death caused by airbag deployment.

• The mounting location should not be affected by sun control film (window tint).

• Ensure there is no other electronic equipment close to the camera for optimal performance.

Power on/off:

• The camera powers on automatically when the car’s ignition is switched on.

• The camera powers off automatically when the ignition is switched off.

• For manual power, press and hold the lock button for 5 seconds.

Start/Stop recording:

• Recording starts automatically when the ignition is switched on. The red LED indicator will flash.

• To start recording manually from Standby mode, short press the [OK] button.

• To stop recording manually while in recording mode, short press the [OK] button.

Take a photo:

• While in recording mode, short press the [M] button to take a photo. Note that this action will also lock the current video file at the same time.

Lock a video clip:

• In recording mode, short press the [▲] button or the [M] button to manually lock the currently recording video clip. Video clips are also locked automatically when the G-sensor is triggered by an impact.

Playback on the camera:

1. Enter Standby mode by pressing [OK] to stop recording.

2. Short press the [▲] button to enter Playback mode.

3. Use the ◄ or ► buttons (Up/Down buttons) to select a video recording or photo.

4. Press the REC[OK] button to play the selected file.

Playback on a PC:

There are two methods to play back video on a PC:

1. Remove the microSD card from the camera and connect it to a computer using a microSD card reader. Open a file browser to navigate to the card’s contents.

2. Connect the camera directly to a computer’s USB socket using the supplied short USB data cable. The camera will turn on and display “Mass Storage” on its screen. You can then access the files on the SD card through your computer’s file browser.

When you access the memory card on a computer, you will find three folders:

• MOVIE: Contains normal loop recording video files.

• RO: Contains locked video files from manual locking or G-sensor activation.

• PHOTO: Contains video snapshot files (photos).

Separate files are created for the front and rear cameras. The file name indicates the date, time, and camera view. For example, in `2019_0320_171504_F.MP4`:

• `2019_0320_171504` indicates the date and time.

• `F` is for the front camera video file.

• `R` would be for the rear camera video file.

• `.mp4` is the video file extension.

1. In either recording or standby mode, long press the “down” button for 5 seconds to switch the Wi-Fi function on.

2. The camera screen will then display the Wi-Fi SSID (e.g., B2W_XXXXXXXXXX) and Password (PWA2:12345678) needed to connect your smartphone.

3. If your smartphone does not connect after the SSID is broadcast, you can short press the Up, Down, or OK buttons to disable the Wi-Fi.

4. If Wi-Fi is already connected to your smartphone, you must long press the Down button to terminate the connection and disable Wi-Fi.

To access and change settings, first stop recording to enter Standby mode, then press the [M] button. Use the Up/Down buttons to navigate and the [OK] button to select. Key settings include:

• Resolution: Sets the video mode. Options include Front FHD 60FPS (front view only), F+R FHD30 12+12Mbps (front and rear, equal quality), and F+R FHD30 16+8Mbps (front and rear, enhanced front quality).

• Loop Recording: Selects the length of video segments (Off, 1, 2, 3, or 5 minutes). When the card is full, the oldest unlocked files are overwritten.

• WDR (Wide Dynamic Range): Toggles WDR on or off to record more detail in shadows and bright areas.

• Exposure Comp: Adjusts the exposure value (EV) from -2.0 to +2.0 to make the image darker or brighter, affecting the front camera only.

• Record Audio: Turns the microphone on or off. You can also short press the down button during recording to mute/unmute audio.

• Date Stamp: Overlays the time and date on the recorded video.

• Date / Time: Manually set the system date, time, and display format.

• G-Sensor: Sets the shock sensor sensitivity (Off, Low, Middle, High) for automatic video locking.

• Display Mode: Configures the live view on the LCD screen (Front camera, Rear camera, PIP, Front + Rear).

• Lens infrared light control: Sets the IR mode for the rear (cabin) view (Off, On, Auto). In Auto mode, the IR LEDs activate in darkness.

• Wi-Fi: Turns the Wi-Fi transmitter on or off.

• Language: Sets the on-screen display language.

• Screen Save: Turns the LCD screen off after a set period (Off, 1, 3 Minutes) to avoid distraction.

• Plate Number: Overlays a vehicle license plate number on the video.

• Frequency: Sets the power supply frequency (50Hz or 60Hz) to reduce flickering from artificial lights.

• Beep Sound: Controls button notification sounds.

• Format: Formats the microSD card, deleting all data.

• Default Setting: Resets all settings to factory defaults.

• GPS Settings (with optional module): Includes GPS On/Off, Speed Unit (KM/H, MPH), and Time Zone settings.

• Parking monitor (with optional hardwire kit): Sets the G-sensor sensitivity for impact detection in parking mode.

1. Download the App: Search for “Roadcam” in the Apple App Store for iOS devices or the Google Play Store for Android devices.

2. Turn on Wi-Fi on the Camera: In the camera menu or by long-pressing the down button, turn on the Wi-Fi. The SSID and password will appear on the camera’s screen.

3. Connect Your Smartphone: Go to your smartphone’s Wi-Fi settings menu. Select the B2W dash camera’s SSID (e.g., B2W_xxxxxx) and enter the password “12345678” to connect.

4. Open the App: Open the Roadcam app and click the “camera” icon to connect the app to the dash cam.

When connected, the Wi-Fi icon on the camera screen will turn green. When disconnected, it will be white and display “Mobile Phone not connect”.

In the APP Preview mode, you can perform the following actions:

• Press the “video recording” button to start or stop recording.

• Press the “photo snap button” to capture a photo.

• Press the menu button (top right) to enter the main menu setup, where you can change settings like resolution, sound recording, G-sensor level, and format the memory card.

• Press the “HUD video” button to play back recorded videos.

• Press the “HUD photo” button to view photos.

• Short press a video icon to preview footage on your phone; long press to download or delete it.

• Press the Disconnect button (top left) to return to the dash camera connection interface.

If your BLUESKYSEA B2W is not recording, please check the following:

• Ensure you are using a high-speed microSD card (Class 10 or above).

• If there is a card error message, try formatting the memory card in the camera’s menu.

• If formatting does not work, try using a new, compatible microSD card.

If the dash camera does not loop record, the microSD card may not have enough free space because it is full of locked files. Locked files are not overwritten during loop recording. To resolve this, you can delete all files by formatting the card in the camera’s menu.

A “Document Error” can occur due to a bad quality microSD card or a corrupted card format. Please try formatting the microSD card within the camera. If the problem persists, replace the microSD card with a new, high-quality one.

If the video is unclear, please check if the camera lens is clean. Clean the lens with a soft cloth or lens wipe to remove any smudges or dirt.

This issue is typically caused by the frequency of artificial lighting. To fix this, go into the camera’s menu and set the “Frequency” option to “50Hz” or “60Hz” depending on your local electricity supply frequency (e.g., 60Hz for the USA, 50Hz for Europe).

To connect the hardwire kit to your vehicle’s fuse box, follow this wiring guide:

• GND (Black wire) = Connect to a Ground/Unpainted bolt to complete the circuit.

• VCC (Red wire) = Connect to a Battery/Always-on fuse. This provides constant power to the dash cam.

• ACC (Yellow wire) = Connect to an Accessory power/Ignition-only fuse. This senses when the vehicle is turned on or off.

1. When the car engine is on, the camera will be in normal recording mode.

2. When the car engine is turned off, the hardwire kit detects that the ACC input is off, and the camera automatically changes to parking mode (powers off).

3. If an impact is detected by the G-sensor while in parking mode, the camera will power on and start recording for 30 seconds. This video clip will be saved in the RO (locked) file folder.

4. When the car engine is started again, the camera will switch back to normal recording mode.

5. The hardwire kit has a low-voltage protection feature that will cut power to the camera if the car battery voltage drops below a selected threshold (e.g., 12.4V, 12.2V, 12V, 11.8V) to prevent draining the battery.

Note: Parking mode does not work with a power bank. The camera will simply keep recording in normal mode until the power bank is empty.

Some Android phones (like Google Pixel and SAMSUNG) will automatically switch from a Wi-Fi network that has no internet access (like the camera’s Wi-Fi) to mobile data (LTE). This breaks the connection.

To fix this, for example on a SAMSUNG phone, go to Settings -> WLAN -> Advanced, and switch off the “Automatic Data Switch” option. Alternatively, you can simply switch off your phone’s mobile data while using the camera’s app.

If a proxy setting is applied to your Wi-Fi settings, it may also cause connection failure. Tap the camera’s SSID in your Wi-Fi list, go to Advanced -> Proxy Settings, select “none”, and save the connection.

Video image quality can vary depending on weather, lighting, vehicle speed, and cleanliness of the windshield and camera lens. The camera can only read license plates within a limited distance. For the best image quality, ensure the following:

• The windshield and camera lenses are clean.

• Do not use cleaning products (like polish or anti-mist products) that leave a residue on the glass.

• Ensure the angle of the dash camera is set so that the horizon is in the center of the image (50% from the top and bottom).

• Using the dash camera behind dark window tints will reduce image quality and can increase motion blur.

A memory card’s lifespan in a dash camera is limited due to constant rewriting of data. For a 64GB card, this is typically six months to a year. After this period, the card may become too slow for live video recording, causing errors to be detected.

Additionally, memory cards can suffer data corruption or failure due to static electricity or external voltage when being handled. It is recommended to regularly check for correct recording and format the memory card to minimize errors. Also, save or copy important data to external media like your phone or a hard drive as soon as possible.
