What are the important safety safeguards to follow when using the electrical kettle?
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:
Read carefully and save all instructions.
For additional protection, we recommend the use of a power outlet with rated current of 10 A. To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.
Do not fill the kettle when positioned on base. Make sure that the kettle base is dry before placing it onto the power base.
Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Close supervision is necessary when using appliance near children or infirm persons.
Electric kettle must be operated on a flat surface. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or on top of other electric appliances.
Do not touch the hot surface; use the handle. Be aware of the steam being emitted from spout or lid especially during refilling. Do not remove the lid during the boiling cycle.
Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water. Do not fill above the “max” indication. Do not operate kettle if water is below minimum.
Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or touch hot surfaces. When not in use, drape the power cord in the compartment of the base unit.

This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and the hazards involved have been understood.
Do not touch the inside of the kettle. The heating element surface is subjected to residual heat after use.
How should children be involved with the appliance?
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
What specific warnings and cautions should I be aware of when using the kettle?
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove the bottom cover of the body or the power base by yourself.
Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.
Do not switch on the kettle if there is a possibility that the water in the heater is frozen. Always unplug from the socket under following conditions: no water in kettle; filling water; not in use; before cleaning or moving the kettle.
Position the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle.
Ensure that the appliance is switched off before removing it from its stand.
Avoid spillage on the connector.
Incorrect use of appliance may cause serious burns.

How should I prepare the kettle for its first use?
For first time use or after long periods of not using the kettle, it is recommended that you fill the kettle to the maximum level mark with fresh tap water, boil, and empty the kettle at least 2 times to rid the kettle of any tiny particles. Do not drink the water used to rinse the kettle.
How do I use the kettle to boil water?
Press the release button on the handle to open the lid.
Remove the kettle from the base and take it to the water source. Fill the kettle with the desired amount (which is no less than the minimum and no more than the maximum). Close the lid and place the kettle back on the base unit.
Connect the plug into a power outlet (220-240 V~). Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch. The light will illuminate to indicate the kettle is heating.
The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled and the light will go off.
Lift the kettle from the base, and pour the water into a container.
What general precautions should I take before cleaning the kettle?
To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning.
During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
Always unplug from the plug socket and allow to cool down before cleaning.
Do not use chemical, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle, as these will scratch the surface and fade the outside color.
How do I remove mineral deposits (descaling) from the kettle?
Remove the mineral deposits in the kettle regularly to prolong the kettle’s life. To do so, fill the kettle with 0.5L white vinegar and the remainder with water. Allow to stand for at least 1 hour.
Empty the solution from the kettle. Wipe off the remaining deposits with a damp cloth.
Fill the kettle with clean water; bring to boil; and then discard the water. Repeat the procedure once more and the kettle will be ready for use.
If necessary, repeat the operations above several times.
How should I clean the exterior and scale filter of the kettle?
Do not immerse into water. The surface of the kettle may be wiped with a damp cloth and polished with a soft dry cloth.
Hold the top of the scale filter and pull upwards to remove. Wash with clean water and dry thoroughly before fixing back in the kettle.
How should I dispose of the appliance?
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive aims to minimize the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and by reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill. The symbol on this product or its packaging signifies that this product must be disposed separately from ordinary household wastes at its end of life. Be aware that this is your responsibility to dispose of electronic equipment at recycling centers in order to conserve natural resources. Each country should have its collection centers for electrical and electronic equipment recycling.
