When using your AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher, please follow these general safety guidelines:

• Keep detergents away from children.

• Keep children and pets away from the appliance when the door is open.

• Knives and other utensils with sharp points must be loaded in the basket with their points down or placed in a horizontal position.

• Do not use high pressure water sprays and/or steam to clean the appliance.

• The appliance is to be connected to the water mains using the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets must not be reused.

• Do not put flammable products or items that are wet with flammable products in, near or on the appliance.

• Dishwasher detergents are dangerous. Follow the safety instructions on the detergent packaging.

• Do not drink and play with the water in the appliance.

• Do not remove the dishes from the appliance until the programme is complete. Some detergent may remain on the dishes.

• Do not store items or apply pressure on the open door of the appliance.

• The appliance can release hot steam if you open the door while a programme operates.

The AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher includes the following components:

The Beam-on-Floor is a light that is displayed on the floor below the appliance door of your AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher to indicate the programme status. It is off when the appliance is deactivated.

• A red light comes on when a programme starts. It remains on for the duration of the programme.

• A green light comes on when the programme is complete.

• The red light flashes when the appliance has a malfunction.

You can select from the following programmes on your AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher:

MY TIME Programmes:

• 30min: The shortest programme, suitable for dishwashing a load with fresh and light soil.

• 90min: A programme suitable for dishwashing and drying normally soiled items.

• ECO: The longest programme offering the most efficient use of energy and water consumption for crockery and cutlery with normal soil.

Other Programmes:

• AUTO Sense: With this programme, the dishwasher senses the degree of soil and the amount of dishes. It adjusts the temperature and quantity of water as well as the dishwashing duration.

Options:

• ExtraSilent: This option allows you to reduce the noise generated by the appliance. When activated, the wash pump works quietly at a lower speed, which may extend the programme duration.

Note: The pressure and the temperature of the water, the variations of the mains supply, the options, the quantity of dishes and the degree of soil can change the values. The values for programmes other than ECO are indicative only.

You can configure basic settings such as water hardness, rinse aid level, end sound, auto door open, and key tones. You must enter setting mode before starting a programme.

How to enter setting mode:

Press and hold simultaneously 30min and ECO for about 3 seconds. The lights related to the MY TIME selection bar will be on.

How to navigate and change a setting:

1. Make sure the appliance is in setting mode.

2. Use the Previous (30min) or Next (ECO) buttons to switch between settings until the indicator for the desired setting flashes.

3. Press OK (90min) to enter the setting.

4. Press Previous (30min) or Next (ECO) to change the value.

5. Press OK (90min) to confirm the setting. The new setting is saved, and the appliance returns to the setting selection.

6. To exit setting mode, press and hold simultaneously 30min and ECO for about 3 seconds. The saved settings remain valid until you change them again.

The water softener removes minerals from the water supply and should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area to ensure good washing results. Your local water authority can advise you on your water hardness. Use the table below to set the correct water softener level from 1 to 10.

The AirDry function on your AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher improves drying results. The appliance door opens automatically during the drying phase and remains ajar. AirDry is automatically activated with all programmes. The duration of the drying phase and the door opening time vary depending on the selected programme and options. As a precaution, do not try to close the appliance door within 2 minutes after automatic opening, as this can cause damage. If you have children with access to the appliance, it is advised to deactivate AirDry.

Before using your AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Adjust the level of the water softener according to the hardness of your water supply.

2. Fill the salt container.

3. Fill the rinse aid dispenser.

4. Open the water tap.

5. Start the 30min programme to remove any residuals from the manufacturing process. Do not use detergent and do not put dishes in the baskets for this initial cycle.

Use only regeneration salt specifically for dishwashers. Do not use kitchen salt.

1. Turn the cap of the salt container counterclockwise and remove it.

2. Put 1 litre of water in the salt container (only for the first time).

3. Fill the salt container with 1 kg of salt (until it is full) using the provided funnel.

4. Carefully shake the funnel by its handle to get the last granules inside.

5. Remove any spilled salt from around the opening of the salt container.

6. Turn the cap clockwise to close the salt container.

CAUTION: Water and salt can come out of the salt container when you fill it. To prevent corrosion, fill the salt container and then immediately start a complete dishwashing cycle with detergent.

Only use rinse aid designed specifically for dishwashers. The compartment is for rinse aid only; do not fill it with detergent.

1. Open the lid (C).

2. Fill the dispenser (B) until the rinse aid reaches the marking “MAX”.

3. Remove any spilled rinse aid with an absorbent cloth to prevent excessive foam formation.

4. Close the lid. Make sure that the lid locks into position.

1. Open the water tap.

2. Press and hold the On/Off button until the appliance is activated.

3. Fill the salt container if it is empty.

4. Fill the rinse aid dispenser if it is empty.

5. Load the baskets.

6. Add the detergent.

7. Select and start a programme.

8. Close the water tap when the programme is complete.

You can delay the start of the selected programme by 3 hours.

1. Select a programme.

2. Press the Delay Start button (3h).

3. Close the appliance door to start the countdown.

During the countdown, it is not possible to change the programme selection. When the countdown is complete, the programme starts.

To cancel a running programme or a delay start countdown on your AEG FSE7572AP dishwasher, press and hold the On/Off / Reset button for about 3 seconds. The appliance will return to the programme selection mode.

If you cancel a delay start, you will have to select the programme again. If you cancel a running programme, make sure there is detergent in the dispenser before you start a new programme.

If you want to switch from using multi-tablets (e.g. “All in 1”) to using separate detergent, salt, and rinse aid in your AEG FSE7572AP, follow these steps:

1. Set the highest level of the water softener.

2. Make sure that the salt and rinse aid containers are full.

3. Start the 30min programme. Do not add detergent and do not put dishes in the baskets.

4. When the programme is completed, adjust the water softener according to the water hardness in your area.

5. Adjust the released quantity of rinse aid.

Machine Care is a programme designed to clean the appliance interior, removing limescale and grease buildup. When the appliance senses the need for cleaning, the Machine Care indicator will turn on. Before starting, clean the filters and spray arms.

1. Use a descaler or a cleaning product designed specifically for dishwashers. Follow the instructions on the packaging. Do not put dishes in the baskets.

2. Press and hold simultaneously the ExtraSilent button and the AUTO Sense button for about 3 seconds.

3. Close the appliance door to start the programme.

When the programme is complete, the indicator will turn off.

The filter system is made of 3 parts. Regular cleaning is essential for good washing results.

1. Turn the filter (B) counterclockwise and remove it.

2. Remove the filter (C) out of filter (B).

3. Remove the flat filter (A).

4. Wash all filters thoroughly under running water.

5. Make sure that there are no residues of food or soil in or around the edge of the sump.

6. Put back in place the flat filter (A). Make sure that it is correctly positioned under the 2 guides.

7. Reassemble the filters (B) and (C).

8. Put back the filter (B) in the flat filter (A). Turn it clockwise until it locks.

An incorrect position of the filters can cause bad washing results and damage to the appliance.

Cleaning the lower spray arm:

1. To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards.

2. Wash the spray arm under running water. Use a thin pointed tool (e.g., a toothpick) to remove soil particles from the holes.

3. To install it back, press it downwards.

Cleaning the upper spray arm:

1. Pull out the upper basket.

2. To detach the spray arm from the basket, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it clockwise.

3. Wash the spray arm under running water and use a toothpick to clean the holes.

4. To install it back, press the spray arm upwards and simultaneously turn it counterclockwise until it locks into place.

Cleaning the ceiling spray arm:

1. Release the stoppers on the sides of the sliding rails of the cutlery drawer and pull the drawer out.

2. Move the upper basket to the lowest level to reach the spray arm more easily.

3. To detach the spray arm (C), turn the mounting element (B) counterclockwise and pull the spray arm downwards.

4. Wash the spray arm under running water and use a toothpick to clean the holes.

5. To install it back, insert the mounting element (B) in the spray arm and fix it in the delivery tube (A) by turning it clockwise until it locks.

6. Install the cutlery drawer on the sliding rails and block the stoppers.

If you cannot activate the appliance:

• Make sure that the mains plug is connected to the mains socket.

• Make sure that there is no damaged fuse in the fuse box.

If the programme does not start:

• Make sure that the appliance door is closed.

• If the delay start is set, cancel the setting or wait for the end of the countdown.

• The appliance may be recharging the resin inside the water softener. The duration of this procedure is approximately 5 minutes.

The lights related to the MY TIME selection bar flash intermittently to indicate a malfunction and an alarm code. The number of flashes corresponds to a specific issue:

• 1 flash: The appliance does not fill with water. Check that the water tap is open, the water pressure is not too low, the tap is not clogged, and the inlet hose filter is clean and not kinked.

• 2 flashes: The appliance does not drain the water. Check that the sink spigot is not clogged, the interior filter system is not clogged, and the drain hose has no kinks or bends.

• 3 flashes: The anti-flood device is on. Close the water tap and ensure the appliance is installed correctly and baskets are loaded as instructed.

• 4 flashes: Malfunction of the water level detection sensor. Make sure the filters are clean, then switch the appliance off and on.

• 5 flashes: Malfunction of the wash pump or the drain pump. Switch the appliance off and on.

• 6 flashes: The water temperature is too high or there is a malfunction of the temperature sensor. Ensure inlet water does not exceed 60°C, then switch the appliance off and on.

• 12 flashes: Technical malfunction of the appliance. Switch the appliance off and on.

• 15 flashes: The water level inside the appliance is too high. Switch the appliance off and on, ensure filters are clean, and check that the outlet hose is installed at the correct height.

If you are experiencing poor cleaning or drying, check the following possible causes and solutions:

• Poor washing results: Refer to the basket loading leaflet, use a more intensive programme, and clean the spray arm jets and filters.

• Poor drying results: Tableware may have been left too long inside the closed appliance; activate AirDry. There may be no rinse aid or the dosage is too low; refill the dispenser or increase the dosage. The quality of the rinse aid can be the cause. Plastic items may need to be towel dried.

• Whitish streaks or bluish layers: The released quantity of rinse aid is too high; adjust to a lower level. The quantity of detergent may be too high.

• Stains and dry water drops: The released quantity of rinse aid is not sufficient; adjust to a higher level. The quality of the rinse aid can be the cause.

• Traces of rust on cutlery: There is too much salt in the water used; check the water softener setting. Silver and stainless steel items were placed together; do not place them close together.

• Residues of detergent at the end of the programme: The detergent tablet was stuck or water could not wash it away. Make sure the spray arms are not blocked and items in the baskets do not impede the dispenser lid from opening.

• Limescale deposits: The salt level is low, the cap is loose, or your tap water is hard. Check the refill indicator and cap. Use salt and set regeneration even with multi-functional tablets. Start the Machine Care programme with a descaler.
