To ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage, follow these instructions for your ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08:

Keep the bottle out of reach of infants and small children to avoid the risk of scalding or injury.

Always clean the bottle thoroughly after use to prevent malfunctioning, rusting, perforation, or food spoilage.

Always close the Stopper tightly to prevent beverages from spilling and ensure the Spout is closed after pouring.

Do not use the bottle if it loses its heat retention properties, as the outside may become very hot when filled with hot liquids.

Consume beverages within the same day to prevent them from spoiling or producing gas that could cause the Stopper to burst.

Do not place cans, bottles, or other items inside the Main Body as they may deform or damage the product.

Do not remove the sticker on the bottom of the Main Body, as doing so may cause rusting or perforation.

Do not drink out of the bottle while driving to avoid distracting the driver or causing scalds and stains.

Always make sure the Stopper Gasket and Spout Gasket are attached to prevent leaks and scalding.

Do not heat the bottle in a microwave or place it near heat sources like gas stoves or ovens.

Do not carry the bottle by the Cup or Stopper, as dropping it may be dangerous.

Do not disassemble the Main Body.

When filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08, you should leave 1cm (1/2-inch) of room at the top. Filling above the ridge inside the Main Body may cause contents to overflow when placing the Stopper, or the Spout may become difficult to open. Beverages may also become caught in the Stopper and leak out.

Please avoid filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08 with the following items:

Dry ice and carbonated drinks: These can cause pressure to build up, making the Spout difficult to open or causing the Stopper or Cup to burst.

Liquids containing salt, such as soup: Even though the liner is made of 18/8 stainless steel and is nonstick coated, salt may cause rust resulting in loss of thermal insulation.

Dairy products and fruit juice: If left inside for long periods, these may spoil and produce gas that causes the Stopper to burst.

Fruit pulp and tea leaves: These may become caught in the Stopper and cause contents to spill.

When containing hot beverages in your ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08, follow these safety measures:

Tilt the product slowly when pouring to avoid splashes and scalds.

Do not shake the bottle, as this can cause scalds or injuries.

Be careful not to scald yourself when drinking. The outside of the Main Body will not feel hot due to vacuum insulation, but the beverage inside remains very hot for many hours.

Always use the Cup when drinking hot beverages; never drink directly out of the bottle.

If the Stopper becomes difficult to remove when filled with hot beverages, press the Button to open the Spout to release pressure before removing the Stopper. Do not forcefully remove it.

To avoid leaks or staining from the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08, follow these pouring precautions:

After pouring, stand the bottle upright and wait 2 to 3 seconds before closing the Spout.

Wipe off any excess liquids on the Cup before closing.

Store the bottle upright when carrying it inside bags to prevent beverages from spilling.

Do not open the Spout with the bottle close to your face or tilted toward you, as pressure built up inside may cause hot beverages to spew out.

When the Stopper Button is pressed, steam may burst out if the bottle is filled with hot beverages. To prevent this, close the Stopper while keeping the Spout open, and wait about 20 seconds before closing the Spout.

Clean the product after each use to prevent odors and mold. Follow these steps for the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08:

Outside Main Body: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge. Rinse and shake a few times, then wipe dry. Remove carrying straps before washing.

Cup and Stopper: Wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Detach and wash gaskets after each use and remember to reattach them. Rinse and wipe moisture out to dry.

Inside Main Body: Fill with warm water, close the Stopper, and pour the water out through the Spout several times. Then, remove the Stopper and wash with warm water and mild dishwashing liquid using a soft sponge with a handle. Rinse and wipe dry.

Carrying Strap: Soak a soft cloth in warm water and dishwashing soap, wring well, and wipe clean.

Note: Do not soak the bottle, do not use a dishwasher or dish-dryer, and do not use bleach, paint thinner, or abrasive cleansers.

To remove rust spots and water stains: Fill the Main Body with hot water and 10% vinegar. Let it stand for 30 minutes to one hour without attaching the Stopper, then wash the interior thoroughly.

To remove coffee and tea stains: Use a specialized cleaning detergent. Always remove the Stopper when using cleaning detergents. Even if stains are not completely removed, they have no negative effect on the bottle.

Heat/Cold Retention Testing Conditions: Tested at a room temperature of 20C +/- 2C (68F +/- 4F). For heat retention, the bottle is filled with water at 95C +/- 1C (203F +/- 2F). For cold retention, the bottle is filled with water at 4C +/- 1C (39F +/- 2F).

The rattling noise that may be heard when the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08 is shaken comes from the copper or aluminum foil used in the vacuum insulation. This foil is included to increase heat and cold retention and does not indicate a malfunction.

When filling the ZOJIRUSHI SF-JS08 with sports drinks, follow these guidelines:

Rinse the inside and outside of the Main Body (Mouth), the Stopper, and the Cup as soon as possible after consumption to prevent rust or pinholes.

Clean the inside using a soft sponge to protect the nonstick coating from being scratched. Scratches to the coating may cause rust and pinholes.
