For your safety, please adhere to the following instructions when using your ZLINE RBCRV-24:

• Before installation and operation, read and follow all important instructions.

• This appliance is not intended for use by unsupervised children. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

• Immediately unplug the product if you encounter a failure during use. Do not operate a malfunctioning product until it has been repaired by an authorized service provider.

• Installation and service should be performed by a qualified installer. Do not adjust or repair the appliance yourself unless you are a qualified service professional.

• Do not eat frozen foods like ice cubes or ice cream immediately after taking them out of a freezer, as this may cause frostbite.

• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands, as they may stick to your hand.

• Do not place bottled or canned liquid beverages in a freezer, as they may burst.

• Ensure the appliance is properly grounded and the plug is always accessible.

• Never wash the appliance with water, as this poses a risk of electric shock.

• Never touch the plug with wet hands. To disconnect, firmly grip the plug and pull it from the outlet; do not pull the cord.

• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

• Never use parts of your appliance, such as the door or shelves, as a means of support or a step.

• Do not damage the sealed refrigerant system. If punctured, escaping refrigerant can cause skin and eye injuries.

• Do not cover or block ventilation holes.

• Do not use gaseous sprays, store flammable items, or place liquid-filled containers on top of the appliance.

• Do not overload the appliance. Objects may fall when the door is opened, causing injury or damage.

• Be careful not to jam your hand or other body parts in the moving parts of the appliance.

Before disposing of your old refrigerator or freezer, please take the following precautions to ensure children’s safety:

• Ensure that children are not inside the old unit.

• Leave the shelves inside the unit to prevent children from easily getting inside.

• Remove the doors.

Your ZLINE RBCRV-24’s sealed cooling system contains R600a refrigerant, which is a flammable gas. Please observe the following warnings:

• This product uses flammable refrigerant.

• Do not use mechanical devices to defrost the refrigerator.

• Do not use chemicals for cleaning.

• Do not pierce the refrigerant pipe.

• If the refrigerant pipe is pierced, it must be repaired only by licensed service personnel.

• All safety instructions must be followed.

• If the cooling system is damaged, keep the product away from potential fire sources and ventilate the room where it is placed.

• Never use an appliance with a damaged cooling system.

• If you see a gas leak, keep away from the gas as it may cause frostbite when it contacts the skin.

Please follow these precautions regarding water pressure for your ZLINE RBCRV-24:

• The operating pressure for the cold water inlet should be between 25–80 psi (1.7–5.5 bar).

• If your water pressure exceeds 80 psi (5.5 bar), you must install a pressure limiting valve.

• If your water main pressure is lower than 25 psi (1.7 bar), you can use an auxiliary pump to compensate.

• If you are unsure about your water pressure, consult a professional plumber.

• Do not install on the hot water inlet.

• Take necessary measures to prevent the hoses from freezing.

• The water temperature operating range must be a minimum of 0.6 °C (33 °F) and a maximum of 38 °C (100 °F).

• Never connect the product to a cold water main with a pressure of 80 psi (5.5 bar) or higher.

To save energy and ensure efficient operation of your ZLINE RBCRV-24, follow these tips:

• Do not leave the doors open for a long time.

• Do not put hot food or liquids in the appliance.

• Do not overload the appliance, as this hinders air circulation and decreases cooling capacity.

• Do not place the unit in direct sunlight. Install it at least 12″ away from heat sources like microwaves and ovens, and at least 2″ away from electrical ovens.

• Store food and liquids in closed containers.

• Thawing frozen foods in a refrigerator saves energy and preserves food quality.

• The temperature of the room where your appliance is located should be at least 61 °F (16 °C) for optimal energy efficiency.

• The inside of your appliance must be cleaned thoroughly.

Before using your ZLINE RBCRV-24 for the first time, follow these steps:

• Ensure all preparations from the installation manual have been completed.

• Clean the interior of the appliance as recommended in the “Maintenance and Cleaning” section and ensure it is dry.

• Plug the appliance into a grounded socket. The interior will illuminate when the door is opened.

• Plug the unit in for a minimum of 6 hours without placing any food inside. Do not open the door unless necessary.

Note: It is normal to hear a noise when the compressor starts up. Liquids and gases in the cooling system may also create noise even when the compressor is not running. The front edges of the appliance may feel warm; this is normal and designed to prevent condensation.

The control panel on your ZLINE RBCRV-24 refrigerator has several functions:

1. On/Off Button: Press to switch the appliance on; it will start in 5 seconds. Press and hold for 1.5 seconds to switch it off.

2. REF. TEMP. (Refrigerator Temperature Zone): Press to adjust the upper refrigerator temperature from 36 °F to 47 °F (2 °C to 8 °C). Continued pressing after 36 °F enables the Super Cool function. The refrigerator will return to its previous setting after the Super Cool cycle is complete.

3. Temp. Display (Refrigerator): Displays the set temperature for the upper zone. Fahrenheit, Celsius, or Super Cool icons will be illuminated.

4. SPE. TEMP. (Flex Temperature Zone): Press to adjust the lower flex temperature zone from 30 °F to 41 °F (-1 °C to 5 °C).

5. Temp. Display (Flex Zone): Displays the set temperature for the lower zone. Fahrenheit or Celsius icons will be illuminated.

6. Lock: The lock icon illuminates when the panel is locked. To lock or unlock, press and hold the MENU button for 3 seconds. The panel locks automatically after 3 minutes of no interaction.

7. Holiday Mode: Press MENU until the holiday symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. Both temperature zones will be set at 63 °F (17 °C). Do not place food in the refrigerator during Holiday Mode.

8. Eco Mode: Press MENU until the Eco Mode symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. The REF. TEMP will be set at 46 °F (8 °C) and the SPE. TEMP will be set at 41 °F (5 °C).

9. Sabbath Mode: Press MENU until the Sabbath Mode symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. All lights, buzzers, and display panels will turn off.

10. MENU: Press for 3 seconds to lock/unlock the control panel. Press to cycle through function options.

11. Water Filter: The symbol flashes and beeps to indicate the filter needs replacement. After replacement, reset by pressing SELECT for 5 seconds while the panel is unlocked. The default replacement time is 130 days.

12. Water Dispenser: Press MENU until the dispenser symbol illuminates, then press SELECT to enable fresh water from the internal dispenser.

13. Temperature Unit: Press MENU until the Celsius/Fahrenheit symbol illuminates, then press SELECT to switch between units.

14. Showroom Mode: For display purposes only. Turns off cooling but keeps interior lighting active. Do not store food in this mode.

15. SELECT: Press to confirm a function after selecting it with the MENU button.

The water filter symbol on the control panel will flash and beep when it’s time to replace the filter. All units ship with a filter already installed. To replace it, follow these steps:

1. Remove the old filter from the housing by turning it 90 degrees counter-clockwise and pulling it out.

2. Insert the new water filter with the knobs at the front in a horizontal position as far as it will go.

3. Turn the new filter 90 degrees clockwise until it snaps into place.

4. Re-secure the filter cover by pushing it up until it locks with the button.

5. After replacement, reset the filter indicator by pressing the SELECT button for 5 seconds while the control panel is unlocked.

After replacing the water filter in your ZLINE RBCRV-24 refrigerator, you should run 2-3 gallons of water through the dispenser. This removes air from the system and clears any potential debris from the water lines. It is normal for a new filter to cause water to spurt or dribble until the air is purged.

If you have a freezer with an ice maker, discard the first full bin of ice to ensure any debris is cleared from the water lines.

If you use a reverse osmosis system or another household filtration system and do not need to use the provided water filter, you should install the water filter bypass plug. This ensures water is properly delivered to your water dispenser and/or ice maker.

To install the bypass plug:

1. Remove the existing water filter as you would for a replacement (turn counter-clockwise and pull out).

2. Insert the bypass plug into the housing.

3. Rotate the plug clockwise until it is snug.

4. Re-secure the filter cover.

The recommended operating temperatures for each zone are as follows:

Super Cool Mode: 36 °F (2 °C). Use this when placing fresh groceries into the refrigerator or for cooling food quickly. It is recommended to activate this function 4–8 hours before placing food inside.

Super Freeze Mode: -11 °F (-24 °C). Use this to quickly freeze food in a short time. The freezer will return to its previous mode when the process is over.

Door Bins:

• To remove, lift the door bin up to detach it, then pull it straight out.

• To replace, insert the bin at a slight angle, and then press down until it locks.

Glass Shelves:

• To remove, fully open the door, hold the front of the shelf, and gently lift up and slide it out.

• To reinsert, hold the shelf at an angle (front higher than the back), insert the top hook into the top shelf notch, and then lower the front to lock it into place.

• Note: Shelves must be unloaded before removal. Allow glass shelves to reach room temperature before cleaning with water to avoid cracking.

Drawers:

• To remove, pull the drawer out until it stops. Doors must be fully open. Slightly unclip the front section of the drawer and take it out completely.

• To install, pull the sliding rails out completely. Place the gaps at the bottom rear corners of the drawer onto the small extension pieces on the rails. Push the drawer down until the front section clips onto the rails.

Regular cleaning will extend the service life of your ZLINE RBCRV-24. Follow these cleaning guidelines:

General Cleaning:

• Never use gasoline, benzene, sharp abrasive instruments, soap, household cleaners, detergent, or wax polish.

• The best cleaning solution is one teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in a half liter of water. Soak a cloth in the solution, wring it thoroughly, and wipe the interior. Dry thoroughly afterward.

• Ensure no water contacts light fixtures or electrical parts.

• Regularly check that door gaskets are clean.

• Never use chloric cleaning agents on outer or chrome-coated surfaces.

Avoiding Bad Odors:

• Clean your appliance with the baking soda solution every 15 days.

• Keep foods in closed containers to prevent odors from spreading.

• Never keep expired or spoiled foods in the appliance.

Surface Cleaning:

• Inner Surface: Turn off the product before cleaning. Clean inner surfaces and removable parts with a mild solution of soap, water, and carbonate. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

• Plastic Surfaces: If oil is spilled on plastic surfaces, clean and rinse with warm water immediately. Do not leave oil-cooked meals in unsealed containers inside the appliance.

• Stainless Steel Outer Surfaces: Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaning agent with a lint-free, soft cloth. For polishing, wipe softly with a damp microfiber cloth and use dry wash-leather, always following the strands of the stainless steel.

If your ZLINE RBCRV-24 refrigerator displays an error code, refer to the table below. First, try resetting the unit by disconnecting it from power and reconnecting it after a few minutes. If the error persists, service may be required.
