For the safety of your home and the people in it, please follow these important instructions when using your ZLINE RBCRV-30:

• This appliance is not intended for use by children unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person.

• Young children should be supervised to ensure they never play with the appliance.

• Immediately unplug the product if you encounter a failure during use.

• If the product malfunctions, it must not be operated until repaired by an authorized service provider.

• Do not eat ice cubes, ice cream, or other frozen foods immediately after you take them out of a freezer, as this may cause frostbite.

• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands, as they may stick to your hand.

• Do not put bottled or canned liquid beverages in a freezer, as they may burst.

• Never use parts in your appliance, such as the door, shelves, or drawers, as a means of support or step.

• Do not damage the sealed system where the refrigerant circulates.

• Do not use gaseous sprays near the product due to the risk of fire or explosion.

• Do not place containers filled with liquid on top of the appliance.

• Do not store items that need precise temperature adjustment (e.g., vaccines, heat-sensitive medication) in the appliance.

• If you will not be using the appliance for an extended period, unplug it and remove all contents.

• Do not overload the appliance. Objects may fall when the door is opened, causing injury or damage.

• Be careful not to jam your hand or any other body part in the moving parts of the appliance.

To ensure electrical safety when using your ZLINE RBCRV-30, please adhere to the following precautions:

• Ensure the appliance is properly grounded and the plug is always accessible.

• Never wash the appliance by spreading or pouring water onto it, as this poses a risk of electric shock.

• Never touch the plug with wet hands.

• To disconnect from power, firmly grip the plug and pull it from the outlet. Never pull the cord.

• Do not plug the appliance in if the wall outlet is loose.

• Never connect your appliance to energy-saving devices; such systems are harmful to your product.

• Unplug the product during installation, cleaning, and repair procedures.

• Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician or an authorized service provider.

The sealed cooling system of your ZLINE RBCRV-30 contains R600a refrigerant, which is a flammable gas. Please observe the following warnings:

• Pay attention not to damage the cooling system or piping during use and transportation.

• If the system is damaged, keep the product away from potential fire sources and ventilate the room where the product is placed.

• Never use an appliance with a damaged cooling system.

• This product uses flammable refrigerant. Do not use mechanical devices to defrost it, and do not pierce the refrigerant pipe.

• If the refrigerant pipe is pierced, it must be repaired only by licensed service personnel.

• If the product is damaged and you see a gas leak, keep away from the gas. It may cause frostbite when it contacts the skin.

When connecting your ZLINE RBCRV-30 to a water supply, please follow these guidelines:

• The operating pressure for the cold water inlet must be between 25–80 psi (1.7–5.5 bar).

• If the water pressure exceeds 80 psi (5.5 bar), you must install a pressure limiting valve to your mains system.

• If the water main pressure is lower than 25 psi (1.7 bar), you can use an auxiliary pump to compensate for the low pressure.

• If you are unsure about your water pressure, consult a professional plumber.

• Always use water impact protection equipment in your installation if there is a risk of water impact.

• Do not make the installation on a hot water inlet.

• The water temperature operating range must be a minimum of 0.6 °C (33 °F) and a maximum of 38 °C (100 °F).

• Never connect the product to a cold water main with a pressure of 80 psi (5.5 bar) and above.

To improve the energy efficiency of your ZLINE RBCRV-30, follow these tips:

• Do not leave the doors open for a long time.

• Do not put hot food or liquids in the appliance.

• Do not overload the appliance, as this hinders air circulation and decreases cooling capacity.

• Do not install the appliance in direct sunlight. Install it at least 12″ (305 mm) away from heat sources like microwaves and ovens, and at least 2″ (51 mm) away from electrical ovens.

• Store food and liquids inside closed containers.

• Thawing frozen foods in the refrigerator saves energy and preserves food quality.

• The temperature of the room where the appliance is located should be at least 61 °F (16 °C) for optimal energy efficiency.

• Ensure the inside of the appliance is cleaned thoroughly.

Before using your ZLINE RBCRV-30 for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Ensure all preparations have been made according to the column refrigeration installation manual.

2. Clean the interior of the appliance as recommended in the “Maintenance and Cleaning” section. Make sure the interior is completely dry before plugging it in.

3. Plug the appliance into a grounded socket. The interior will illuminate when the door is opened.

4. Plug the unit in for a minimum of 6 hours without placing any food inside. Do not open the door unless necessary during this time.

Note: You will hear a noise when the compressor starts up. Liquids and gases in the cooling system may also create noise even when the compressor is not running; this is normal. The front edges of the appliance may also feel warm, which is normal and designed to prevent condensation.

On/Off Button: Press the button to switch the product on (it will start in 5 seconds). Press and hold for 1.5 seconds to switch it off.

Temperature Button: Press to adjust the freezer’s temperature from 7 °F to -11 °F (-14 °C to -24 °C). Continuing to press after -11 °F will enable the Super Freeze function, indicated by a snow symbol.

Lock: The lock icon illuminates when the panel is locked. To unlock, press and hold the MENU button for 3 seconds. The panel locks automatically after 3 minutes of inactivity.

Holiday Mode: Press MENU until the holiday symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. The freezer temperature will be set to 0 °F (-18 °C). Before leaving, turn the ice maker OFF and shut off the water supply.

Eco Mode: Press MENU until the Eco Mode symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. The freezer temperature will be set to 5 °F (-15 °C).

Sabbath Mode: Press MENU until the Sabbath Mode symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. All lights, buzzers, and display panels will be turned off.

Water Filter: The symbol flashes and beeps to indicate a needed replacement. After replacing, reset by pressing SELECT for 5 seconds while the panel is locked.

Ice Maker: Press MENU until the ice making symbol illuminates, then press SELECT to enable or disable the ice maker.

Temperature Unit: Press MENU until the Celsius/Fahrenheit symbol illuminates, then press SELECT to toggle and confirm.

Showroom Mode: Press MENU until the Showroom symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. This mode turns off cooling but keeps interior lights active for display purposes. Do not store food in this mode.

MENU Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel.

SELECT Button: After selecting a function with MENU, press SELECT to confirm.

On/Off Button: Press the button to switch the product on (it will start in 5 seconds). Press and hold for 1.5 seconds to switch it off.

REF. TEMP. (Upper Zone): Press to adjust the upper refrigerator temperature from 36 °F to 47 °F (2 °C to 8 °C). Continuing to press after 36 °F enables the Super Cool function, indicated by a snow symbol.

SPE. TEMP. (Flex Zone): Press to adjust the lower flex temperature zone from 30 °F to 41 °F (-1 °C to 5 °C).

Lock: The lock icon illuminates when the panel is locked. To unlock, press and hold the MENU button for 3 seconds. The panel locks automatically after 3 minutes of inactivity.

Holiday Mode: Press MENU until the holiday symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. Both temperature zones will be set to 63 °F (17 °C). Do not place food in the refrigerator in this mode.

Eco Mode: Press MENU until the Eco Mode symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. The REF. TEMP will be set to 46 °F (8 °C) and the SPE. TEMP will be set to 41 °F (5 °C).

Sabbath Mode: Press MENU until the Sabbath Mode symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. All lights, buzzers, and display panels will be turned off.

Water Filter: The symbol flashes and beeps to indicate a needed replacement. After replacing, reset by pressing SELECT for 5 seconds while the panel is unlocked.

Water Dispenser: Press MENU until the Water Dispenser symbol illuminates, then press SELECT to enable or disable it.

Temperature Unit: Press MENU until the Celsius/Fahrenheit symbol illuminates, then press SELECT to toggle and confirm.

Showroom Mode: Press MENU until the Showroom symbol illuminates, then press SELECT. This mode turns off cooling but keeps interior lights active. Do not store food in this mode.

MENU Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the control panel.

SELECT Button: After selecting a function with MENU, press SELECT to confirm.

When the water filter symbol flashes and beeps, it is time to replace the filter. Follow these steps:

1. Remove the old filter from its housing by turning it 90° counter-clockwise and pulling it out.

2. Insert the new water filter with the knobs at the front in a horizontal position. Push it in as far as it will go.

3. Turn the filter 90° clockwise until it snaps into place.

4. Re-secure the filter cover by pushing it up until it locks with the button.

5. After replacement, reset the filter indicator symbol by pressing SELECT for 5 seconds while the control panel is locked (for freezers) or unlocked (for refrigerators). The default replacement time is 130 days.

After installing a new water filter in your ZLINE RBCRV-30, you must flush the system to ensure proper operation and clear any debris.

For Refrigerators:

• Run 2-3 gallons of water through the dispenser to remove air from the system. It is normal for a new filter to cause water to spurt and dribble initially until all the air is purged.

For Freezers (with ice makers):

• Discard the first full bin of ice to allow air to purge and to ensure any potential debris is cleared from the water lines. A newly installed filter may cause water to spurt into the ice maker body, and initial ice may appear discolored. This is normal and will resolve after the first bin of ice production.

If you use a reverse osmosis system or a separate household filtration system and do not need to use the ZLINE RBCRV-30’s internal water filter, you should install the provided water filter bypass plug. This ensures that water is properly delivered to your ice maker and/or water dispenser.

To install the bypass plug:

1. Remove the water filter as you would for a replacement (turn counter-clockwise and pull out).

2. Insert the bypass plug into the filter housing.

3. Rotate the plug clockwise until it is snug.

4. Re-secure the filter cover.

To ensure optimal food quality and energy efficiency, follow these food storage guidelines for your ZLINE RBCRV-30 freezer:

• Wrap foods or place them in a covered container before putting them in the freezer.

• Allow hot foods and beverages to cool to at least room temperature before freezing.

• Only freeze foods that are fresh and of good quality.

• Pack foods in airtight, tear-proof packaging that is resistant to cold, humidity, odor, oils, and acids.

• Do not freeze overly large quantities of food at once. Food quality is best preserved when it is frozen through to the core as quickly as possible.

• Use frozen foods immediately after they are thawed; they should never be refrozen.

• For purchased frozen foods, store them according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure packages are put in the freezer quickly, are labeled and dated, and the “Use By” or “Best Before” date has not expired.

The recommended operating temperatures for each zone of your ZLINE RBCRV-30 are as follows:

Special Modes:

• Super Cool Mode: 36 °F (2 °C) – Use this when adding fresh groceries to cool them quickly. Activate 4-8 hours before adding food.

• Super Freeze Mode: -11 °F (-24 °C) – Use this to quickly freeze food. The freezer will return to its previous mode when the process is complete.

To remove a door bin from your ZLINE RBCRV-30, simply lift the bin up to detach it, and then pull it straight out.

To replace the door bin, reverse the process. Place the bin back into the door at a slight angle, and then press down until it locks securely into place.

To remove a shelf:

1. Unload the shelf completely.

2. Fully open the door for better access.

3. Hold the front of the shelf, then gently lift it up and slide it out.

To reinstall a shelf:

1. Hold the shelf at an angle so the front is higher than the back.

2. Insert the top hook at the back of the shelf into the top shelf notch on the refrigerator wall.

3. Lower the front of the shelf slightly to lock it into place.

Important Cautions:

• Glass shelves must be unloaded before removing or reinstalling.

• Allow glass shelves to reach room temperature before immersing them in water for cleaning to prevent cracking.

• Ensure door bins are not positioned at the same level as glass shelves, as this will prevent the door from closing properly.

To remove the drawers:

1. Pull the drawer out until it stops.

2. Ensure the main appliance door is fully open.

3. Slightly unclip the front section of the drawer from the rails and lift it out completely.

To install the drawers:

1. Pull the sliding rails out completely.

2. Carefully place the gaps at the bottom rear corners of the drawer onto the small extension pieces located at the rear of both rails.

3. Push the drawer down until you feel the front section clip securely onto the rails.

Note: Make sure the small extension pieces on both the right and left-hand rails are properly affixed when installing the drawer.

Regular cleaning will extend the service life of your ZLINE RBCRV-30 and prevent common problems. Follow these instructions:

• Never use gasoline, benzene, or similar substances for cleaning.

• Never use any sharp abrasive instruments, soap, household cleaners, detergent, or wax polish.

• The recommended cleaning solution is one teaspoon of baking soda dissolved in a half liter of water. Soak a cloth in this solution, wring it thoroughly, and wipe the interior of the appliance. Dry thoroughly afterward.

• Ensure no water contacts the light fixtures or other electrical parts.

• If not using the appliance for a long time, unplug it, remove all food, clean it, and leave the door ajar.

• Regularly check that the door gaskets are clean. If not, clean them.

• Take out all items before removing door shelves and drawers for cleaning.

• Never use chloric cleaning agents or water on outer surfaces or chrome-coated parts, as chlorine causes abrasion on these metal surfaces.

Your ZLINE RBCRV-30 is equipped with a permanent odor filter, but odors can still occur if food is stored improperly or the unit is not cleaned. To avoid bad odors:

• Keep the appliance clean. Food residuals and stains can cause odor. Clean the interior with a baking soda solution every 15 days. Never use detergents or soap.

• Keep foods in closed containers. Microorganisms from uncovered containers can cause unpleasant odors.

• Never keep expired or spoiled foods in your appliance.

If your ZLINE RBCRV-30 is not operating, please check the following:

• Is it plugged in properly? Ensure the plug is securely inserted into the outlet.

• Is there power to the outlet? Check your home’s circuit breaker or fuse box to see if a circuit has been tripped or a fuse has blown.

If the compressor on your ZLINE RBCRV-30 is not running, consider the following possible causes and solutions:

• Compressor Protector: The internal protector of the compressor may have opened. It is designed to reset automatically. The unit should start running after approximately 6 minutes. If it does not start, professional service may be required.

• Defrost Cycle: The unit may be in its automatic defrosting cycle. This is normal, and the compressor will start again once the cycle is complete.

• Power Connection: The unit may not be plugged in properly. Make sure the plug fits securely in the socket.

• Temperature Settings: The temperature settings may be incorrect. Select the correct temperature value on the control panel.

• Power Failure: There may have been a power failure. The unit will start to operate normally once power is restored.

Certain noises from your ZLINE RBCRV-30 are part of its normal operation. Here are common noises and their causes:

• Vibration or Noise: This can be caused by the floor not being stable or level. Ensure the floor is level and capable of carrying the unit. Adjust the feet as necessary. Also, check that no objects have been placed on top of the unit, as this can cause noise.

• Liquid Spilling or Spraying Noises: These are normal sounds caused by the flow of liquid and gas refrigerant within the operating principles of the unit.

• Whistling Noise: This is also normal. There are fans inside the unit used to cool it, which can produce a whistling sound.

• Increased Operation Noise: The operating performance and noise level of the unit can vary based on changes in the ambient room temperature. This is normal and not a fault.

Condensation can occur for several reasons. Here are the common causes and solutions for your ZLINE RBCRV-30:

• On Inner Walls: This can be caused by hot and humid weather, which increases icing and condensation. This is normal. It can also be caused by the doors being opened frequently or left ajar for a long time. Do not open the doors frequently, and ensure they are closed completely.

• On Outer Surface or Between Doors: This is quite normal in humid weather; the condensation will disappear as the humidity level decreases. It can also occur if you use your product rarely; condensation will disappear upon frequent use.

• General Condensation Inside: This may be caused by foods containing liquid being placed in the unit in unsealed containers. Always store liquids in sealed containers.

If you notice a bad odor inside your ZLINE RBCRV-30, check the following causes and solutions:

• Needs Cleaning: No regular cleaning may have been performed. Clean the inside of the unit with a sponge and lukewarm or carbonated water.

• Packaging Materials: Some containers or packaging materials may be causing the odor. Try using a different container or packaging from another brand.

• Uncovered Foods: Foods may have been placed in the unit in containers without covers. Microorganisms emitting from these containers can cause unpleasant odors. Always store foods in closed containers.

• Expired or Spoiled Food: Food may be expired or spoiled. Check all contents and take out any expired or spoiled foods from the unit.

If the door on your ZLINE RBCRV-30 is not closing properly, check these potential issues:

• Obstructions: Food packages may be preventing the door from closing. Re-locate any packages that are obstructing the door.

• Instability: The unit may be unstable on the floor. Adjust the refrigerator feet as required to keep the unit in balance.

• Uneven Floor: The floor may not be level or solid. Make sure that the floor is level and capable of carrying the unit.

If you are not getting water from the dispenser of your ZLINE RBCRV-30, please perform the following checks:

• Check that the water line is connected normally, the water supply valve is opened, and the water pipe is not bent or creased.

• Ensure that the water filter or water filter bypass plug has been installed, as water cannot be discharged without one of them in place.

• Verify that the filter or bypass plug is installed properly and securely.

If your ZLINE RBCRV-30 freezer displays an error code, refer to the table below for the cause and potential solution. For codes F4 through 3E, first try resetting the unit by disconnecting it from power for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. If this does not work, service may be required.
