Please adhere to the following safety instructions when using your ZELMER ZCK7620G electric kettle:

• If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

• If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. The appliance is only to be used with the stand provided.

• Warning: avoid spillage on the connector.

• Warning: potential injury from misuse!

• The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. Allow the kettle to cool completely before cleaning.

• Always remove the plug from the mains before cleaning the kettle.

• Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents such as emulsions, creams, pastes, etc. for cleaning the kettle.

The ZELMER ZCK7620G is intended to be used in household applications. It is not intended to be used in applications such as:

– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

– farm houses;

– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

– bed and breakfast type environments.

• Prior to plugging in the product, check that your mains voltage is the same as the one indicated on the product label.

• The mains connection cable must not be tangled or wrapped around the product during use.

• Do not use the device, or connect and disconnect to the supply mains with the hands and / or feet wet.

• Do not pull on the connection cord in order to unplug it or use it as a handle.

• Only fill the kettle with water. Milk and instant beverages will burn and damage the appliance. Never operate the kettle without water and do not over fill it; observe the min and max markings. If the kettle is too full, the water will boil over!

• Do not put the jug on a stove or in a microwave for re-heating of water.

• Always place the kettle on a stable, smooth, flat surface; the power cord must not hang loosely off the edge of a table (or any other work surface) or touch a heated surface.

• Do not use the kettle with the lid open.

• Do not remove the lid when the water is boiling.

• If the internal electrical elements are flooded with water, make sure the kettle is completely dry before plugging in.

• Do not move while the kettle is switched on.

• Unplug the product immediately from the mains in the event of any breakdown or damage.

Before using your ZELMER ZCK7620G electric kettle for the first time, make sure that all of the product’s packaging has been removed. Before heating water for the first time, it is recommended to use the kettle twice in order to clean the system.

1. Fill the kettle with fresh water through the open lid.

2. Read the quantity on the water level indicator. Do not fill less than the minimum and maximum marks indicated.

3. Close the lid until it locks and place the kettle on the base.

4. Press down the switch; the switch will light up and the water will begin to heat.

5. The kettle switches off automatically once the water is boiled.

The appliance can also be switched off at any time by pulling up the ON/OFF switch. Only operate the kettle with the lid closed and the limescale filter inserted. After boiling, let the kettle cool down for 5 minutes before refilling it with water.

Warning: If you remove the kettle from the base and replace it before the heating process is over, the kettle will continue to heat the water.

Do not turn on the appliance if the kettle is empty, otherwise the overheat control will engage and the appliance will switch itself off automatically.

1. Do not forget to remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance.

2. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth when the kettle is wet; never use metal polish.

3. Remove the limescale filter, soak it in a little vinegar, then rinse clean with clear water.

4. Never use a dishwasher to clean any parts from the machine.

5. Rinse the kettle and the limescale filter with clear water.

6. Put the water kettle in a dry and not very hot place.

Regular descaling makes your ZELMER ZCK7620G kettle last longer, ensures proper function, and saves energy. Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercial descaling agent.

Fill the kettle with water up to the max mark and bring to a boil. Next, add a small amount of white vinegar and let it sit for a couple of hours. You can also use a commercial descaling product and follow the manufacturer’s instruction.

Rinse the kettle with clear water.

If you use the kettle daily, descale more frequently.
