When using the ZELMER ZHM1652 hand mixer, please adhere to the following safety instructions:

• If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Respect the operating times of the accessories indicated in their specific sections of the manual.

• Warning: potential injury from misuse!

• Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

• Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

This appliance is designed for home use and should never be used for commercial or industrial use under any circumstances. Any incorrect use or improper handling of the product shall render the warranty null and void.

• Prior to plugging in the product, check that your mains voltage is the same as the one indicated on the product label.

• The mains connection cable must not be tangled or wrapped around the product during use.

• Do not use the device, or connect and disconnect to the supply mains with the hands and / or feet wet.

• Do not pull on the connection cord in order to unplug it or use it as a handle.

• Unplug the product immediately from the mains in the event of any breakdown or damage and contact an official technical support service. In order to prevent any risk of danger, do not open the device.

Before the first use of your ZELMER ZHM1652 hand mixer, follow these steps:

1. Unpack the appliance.

2. Check that the power supply parameters of the appliance correspond to the parameters of the local mains.

3. Before operating the appliance for the first time, clean it and its accessories as described in the Maintenance and Cleaning section of the instruction manual.

4. Before assembling the appliance, make sure that the mixer is disconnected from the mains, and the speed controller is set to “0”.

Attention! During the initial period of use the mixer may give off an unpleasant odour. This smell will fade after a fairly long period of use.

1. Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the power source. Put ingredients into a bowl (included depending on the model).

2. Select the desired attachments and insert them into the mixer sockets. One set of attachments is suitable for kneading dough and the other is used for beating eggs or similar products.

3. Attention! Do not put any forks, knives or spoons into the bowl during mixer operation.

4. The maximum continuous operation time must not exceed 4 minutes. If you need to use the mixer for a longer time, wait until the appliance cools down to room temperature (which takes about 30 minutes).

5. For best results when mixing batter for yeast-raised cakes, it is recommended that you start mixing at a low speed, then increase it to the maximum speed at the end of the process.

After you have finished using the ZELMER ZHM1652, set the speed controller to “0” and disconnect the appliance from the mains. If residue from mixed products needs to be scraped off a beater or an agitator, use a wooden spatula. While holding the attachment with one hand, press the “EJECT” button with the other hand to remove the attachments from the sockets. Do not operate the appliance with more than 875g flour and 630g water.

• Please use a dry dishcloth to wipe the product body. It is strictly prohibited to let the main unit rinse with water or immerse it in water.

• Please do not use a metal brush, nylon brush, household cleanser, diluent and other similar cleaning supplies to clean this product, as they may damage the product surface structure.

• Please use a soft dry cloth to wipe the dirt on the power cord.

• Wash attachments with warm water and some dishwashing liquid, rinse them and wipe dry. The bowl can be washed in a dishwasher.

• If any residues cannot be removed easily, use a wooden or plastic tool.

This product complies with European Directive 2012/19/EU on electrical and electronic devices, known as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), which provides the legal framework applicable in the European Union for the disposal and reuse of waste electronic and electrical devices. Do not dispose of this product in the bin; instead, take it to the electrical and electronic waste collection centre closest to your home.
