First, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface. After shutting off the engine, wait at least 3 minutes so the oil can flow back into the sump. Pull out the dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth, and push it back in until it stops. Pull it out again to read the oil level.

A. Oil must not be replenished.

B. Oil may be replenished. It may happen that the oil level afterwards is in the A region.

C. Oil must be replenished. It is sufficient if the oil level is in the B region (hatched area) afterwards.

If the oil level is below the C marking, replenish oil to the A marking. Do not allow the oil level to exceed the A marking to avoid damaging the catalytic converter.

Perform a visual check of the engine and its components in the engine compartment. Check all lines, hoses, and connections for the fuel system, cooling and heating system, and the brake system. Specifically, look for signs of leaks, abrasions, porosity, and brittleness.

For setting the time and date using buttons on the windscreen wiper lever:

1. Switch on the ignition.

2. Press the button on the lever for 2 seconds to open the main menu.

3. Use the button to select the Settings menu and confirm using the OK/RESET button.

4. Select the Time menu and confirm.

5. Mark the Hours option by pressing the button, set the correct hour using the rocker switch, and confirm with the OK/RESET button.

6. Repeat the same procedure for the Minutes option.

7. The Settings menu can be closed via the back option.

8. Select MFI for the actual display and confirm.

9. Switch off the ignition.

For best results and engine protection, use the following mixture ratios of coolant additive G 12+ or G 12++ and clean tap water:

Frost protection to -25 °C: approx. 40% coolant, 60% water.

Frost protection to -35 °C: approx. 50% coolant, 50% water.

Frost protection to -40 °C: approx. 60% coolant, 40% water.

Ensure that the coolant additive portion is always at least 40%.

Check the tire treads and side walls for any damage and remove foreign bodies like nails or glass splinters. Inspect the tires for cupping, one-sided wear, porous side walls, cuts, and punctures. To check the tread depth, use the tread wear indicators positioned at intervals around the tire. The minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm. When the tires wear down to be level with these indicators, they must be replaced.

To tow the vehicle, a towing eye found in the tool kit must be screwed in. For the front, remove the bolt from the air intake grille, remove the grille, and screw the towing eye in securely. For the rear, remove the cover from the bumper to expose the threaded hole and screw the towing eye in. Use only synthetic fiber or elastic ropes to reduce shock loads; a tow bar is safer. Always switch on the hazard lights of both vehicles and ensure the ignition is on so the steering wheel is free.

Open the driver door. Move the backrest as far forward as it will go. Once the backrest is fully moved forward, release the switch, then operate it again until a gong signal sounds after a few seconds.
