The Bluetooth system will interrupt the car stereo with a ringtone. Press the phone button on the multi-function steering wheel to answer.

Press AM, FM or SAT to select a band. Use the tuning knob at the lower right to select a station, then press and hold any preset station soft key until you hear a confirmation beep.

First, pair your compatible device. Press the MEDIA hard key, then press the BT-Audio soft key. You can navigate through music using the PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS, and NEXT TRACK soft keys.

Press the NAV hard key and tap the flag icon on the touchscreen. Enter the state, city, street, and number. Ensure your iPod music player is Generation Four or newer and connect it to the car MDI cable. For RNS 315 systems, audio will play automatically. To choose a song, press the LIST soft key, then the UP soft key. For Premium VIII systems, press the MEDIA hard key, then the MEDIA-IN soft key until the device is shown. Press the Selection soft key to choose a song.

Plug the media device into the auxiliary jack. For the Premium VIII system, press the SETUP hard key, press the MEDIA soft key, press the Enable AUX Input soft key, then press the MEDIA hard key. For the RNS 315 system, press the MEDIA hard key and then press the media-specific soft key.

Turn the temperature to MAX, set the fan speed to 4, and turn the vent dial to the cooling setting. The air recirculation light will come on automatically. Turn the fan speed down once the desired temperature is reached.

Turn the temperature dial all the way to the right, set the fan speed to 3, and turn the vent dial to the defrost setting. The AC light will come on automatically to dehumidify the air.

Locate the cruise control stalk on the left side of the steering column. Turn the switch on top to the ON position. When you reach your cruising speed, press the rocker switch at the end of the stalk towards SET/-. To increase speed, press the rocker switch up towards RES/+. To reduce speed, press the rocker switch down towards SET/-.

To cancel the cruise speed, press the brake pedal or turn the switch on the top of the stalk to CANCEL. To resume, press the rocker switch up towards RES/+.

To open to the comfort position, turn the dial to the largest circle. To partially open, turn the dial clockwise to any dot. To open completely, twist the dial clockwise as far as it will go and hold. To close, turn the dial counterclockwise to the closed position. To tilt, press and hold the lip of the sunroof dial; pull down on the lip to close.

To adjust forward or back, pull up on the handle under the driver seat and rock forward or back. To adjust height, use the lever on the left side of the seat. To recline, use the dial on the lower rear of the seat; leaning forward while rotating the dial makes adjustment easier.

To unlock, press and hold the trunk button on the key fob. To open, push on the VW logo. To close, grab the ergonomic handles located near the outer corners of the interior and pull.

For intermittent wiping, move the stalk one click up from OFF; the switch on top varies the time interval. For continuous wiping, move the stalk two clicks up for LOW or three clicks up for HIGH. For a single wipe, press the stalk down. For a faster wipe, press and hold the stalk down for two seconds. To wash the windshield, pull the stalk toward you.

Check all tires and inflate them to the correct pressure specified on the sticker on the driver door jamb. After inflating the tires, turn the ignition on and press the SET button inside the glove compartment for at least two seconds until you hear a beep.
