It is recommended that two people take part in the stand installation for your VIZIO D55-E0 TV. Follow these steps:

1. Remove any plastic film from the TV and stands.

2. Place the TV screen-down on a clean, flat surface. To prevent scratches or damage, use a soft surface like a carpet, rug, or blanket, and avoid sharp edges. Ensure the top and bottom edges of the screen are supported by the surface to avoid damage.

3. Insert the stands into the base of the TV. The stands are identical.

4. Secure each stand to the TV with two (2) Phillips screws (included).

5. Insert the screws into the back of the TV and tighten them using a Phillips screwdriver.

6. Once finished, place the TV on a stable, level surface.

1. **Connect Devices:** Before turning the TV on, connect all of your external devices to the TV using the best connection type for each device (e.g., HDMI for digital HD video and audio, Component for analog HD video, etc.).

2. **Connect Power:** Connect one end of the power cable to the back of the TV, ensuring the flat edge of the connector faces the outer edge of the TV. Plug the other end into an electrical outlet.

3. **Connect to Internet (Optional but Recommended):** For the best Smart TV experience, connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or router to the back of your TV.

4. **Begin Guided Setup:** Turn the TV on by pressing the POWER button on the remote. The Guided Setup will display.

5. **Select Mode and Language:** Use the Arrow buttons on the remote to select **Home Use** and press OK. Then, use the Arrow buttons to select your preferred language and press OK.

6. **Complete Setup:** Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the first-time setup.

To insert or replace the two AAA batteries in your VIZIO D55-E0 remote control, follow these steps:

1. Remove the battery cover by pressing gently on the logo and sliding it away from the remote.

2. Insert two AAA batteries (included). Be sure to align the + and – signs on the batteries and remote correctly.

3. Gently slide the battery cover back into place.

• LAST: Return to the channel last viewed.

• WIDE: Change the display mode. For Zoom Mode, hold the key for 10 seconds.

• PIC: Opens the picture mode menu. For Text to Speech, hold the key for 10 seconds.

• NUMBER PAD: Manually enter a channel.

• DASH (-): Use with the number pad to manually enter a digital sub-channel (e.g., 18-4).

• ENTER: Confirm a channel or passcode entered using the number pad.

If you did not set up a wireless connection during the first-time setup, follow these steps:

• A Wireless Router

• A high-speed Internet connection (1.5 Mbps or higher is recommended for streaming)

• Your SSID (Wireless network name)

• Your Network Password

Connection steps:

1. Press the MENU button on the remote.

2. Highlight Network and press OK. The Network Setup guide is displayed.

3. Highlight the name of your wireless network (SSID) from the list of Wireless Access Points and press OK.

4. If you do not see your SSID, you can select Hidden Network to enter it manually.

5. Using the on-screen keyboard, enter your network’s password, then highlight Connect and press OK.

To get started with V.I.A. Plus on your VIZIO D55-E0 TV, you can use the following remote functions:

1. Display the App Dock: Press the V Button on your remote to display the V.I.A. Plus App Dock at the bottom of the screen.

2. Scroll Through Apps: Use the Left/Right Arrow buttons to scroll through the Apps on the dock. The highlighted App is in the center of the dock.

3. Launch an App: With an app highlighted, press the OK button to launch it.

4. Open the Fullscreen App Window: Press the V Button twice to launch the fullscreen V.I.A. Plus Apps window. This allows you to add, store, and browse all available apps.

To connect your VIZIO D55-E0 TV to an audio device like a receiver or sound bar, follow these general steps:

1. Verify that your audio device has an input port that matches an available output port on the TV (e.g., HDMI, Digital Optical, RCA).

2. Turn off both the TV and your audio device.

3. Connect the appropriate cable (not included) to the TV’s output port and the audio device’s input port.

4. Turn the TV and your audio device on.

Common connection types include:

• HDMI: For CEC 2-way communication and 2.0-5.1 digital audio (PCM, DTS, Dolby Audio).
