How do I insert or replace the batteries in the VIZIO D43-E2 remote control?
Two AAA batteries are included for you to use with the basic remote control. To insert or replace the batteries:
1. Remove the battery cover by pressing gently on the logo and sliding away from the remote. Insert two AAA batteries (included).
2. Be sure to align the + and – signs on the batteries and remote. Gently slide the battery cover back into place.
WARNING: keep the remote control batteries away from children. It may cause choking and/or lead to a fire or chemical burn if mishandled. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Replace only with batteries of the correct type.
How do I install the stands on my VIZIO D43-E2?
It is recommended that two people take part in the stand installation.
Step 1: Prepare the TV
• Remove any plastic film from the TV and stands.
• Place the TV screen-down on a clean, flat surface. To prevent scratches or damage to the screen, place the TV on a soft surface such as a carpet, rug, or blanket, and avoid any sharp edges.
• Make sure the top and bottom edges of the screen are being supported by the surface to avoid damage.
Step 2: Attach the Stands
• Insert the stands into the base of the TV. (The stands are identical.)
• Secure each stand to the TV with two (2) Phillips screws (included).
• Insert the screws into the back of the TV and tighten them using a Phillips screwdriver.
• When you are finished, place the TV on a stable, level surface.
How do I perform the first-time setup on the VIZIO D43-E2?
1. Connect your devices. Connect all of your devices to the TV first. Choose one connection type for each device (e.g., HDMI, Component, AV).
2. Connect the power cable. Connect one end of the power cable to the back of the TV. The flat edge of the connector faces the outer edge of the TV. Plug the other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet.
3. Connect to the Internet (optional). If you have a high-speed Internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your modem or router to the back of your TV for the best experience. The TV also has built-in Wi-Fi.
4. Turn on the TV and follow the on-screen guide. Turn the TV on by pressing the POWER button on the remote. The Guided Setup will be displayed.
• Use the Arrow buttons on the remote to select Home Use and press OK.
• Use the Arrow buttons on the remote to select your preferred language and press OK.
• Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the first-time setup.

• Zoom Mode – Enlarges a section of the screen by 200%.

If you have already set up a wireless connection during the first-time setup, you can skip this section. To connect to a wireless network you will need a Wireless Router, High-speed Internet connection, SSID (Wireless network name), and Network Password.
1. From the TV SETTINGS menu, highlight Network and press OK. The Network Setup guide is displayed.
2. Highlight the name of your wireless network (this is the network’s SSID) and press OK.
3. If you do not see your SSID, you will need to enter it manually by selecting Hidden Network.
4. Using the on-screen keyboard, enter your network’s password, then highlight Connect and press OK.
For best streaming video, your Internet connection speed should be 1.5 Mbps or higher. If you are having trouble connecting, check your router placement as walls, large metal objects, and other broadcasting devices can interfere with the signal.
How do I use the VIZIO Internet Apps Plus® (V.I.A. Plus) on my VIZIO D43-E2?
VIZIO Internet Apps Plus® (V.I.A. Plus) delivers popular online content to your TV. A high-speed Internet connection is required.
• To display the V.I.A. Plus App Dock, press the V Button.
• To scroll through the Apps on the dock, press the Left/Right Arrow buttons. The highlighted App is in the center of the dock.
• To launch an App, highlight it and press the OK button.
• To launch the fullscreen V.I.A. Plus Apps window, press the V Button twice. This window allows you to add and store apps.

Your TV can output sound to an audio device, such as a receiver or sound bar. To connect your TV to an audio device:
1. Verify that your device has an audio port that matches an available port on the TV (HDMI, Digital Optical, RCA, etc.).
