Please adhere to the following guidelines when installing and operating the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2:

1. The camera should be installed at least 10 centimeters away from the eave of a building.

2. The VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2 should be used in compliance with local laws and regulations.

3. Before installation, the product should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment.

4. Do not install the product on an unstable mount or surface.

5. Use only accessories that comply with the technical specifications of the product.

6. Do not disassemble the camera or perform maintenance tasks when power is connected. Disconnect power from the unit when performing a maintenance task.

7. If powered by a power adapter, the adapter should be properly grounded.

8. The VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2 must be installed and protected in a location that is not easily accessible, and is away from impacts or heavy vibration. For example, at a location where the camera is looking down or installed at a high position such as on a wall, or at least 3 meters above the ground.

9. Maintenance and repair work must always be carried out by qualified technical personnel.

10. Use the camera only with a DC power supply that is UL listed and Limited Power Source (LPS) certified. The power supply should bear the UL listed and LPS marks and meet any safety and compliance requirements for the country of use.

11. The camera is only to be connected to PoE networks without routing to outside plants.

12. For PoE connection, use only UL listed I.T.E. with PoE output.

For the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2, please be aware of the following battery precautions:

1. There is a risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

2. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

To install the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2, you will need the following tools:

• ø5mm drill bit

• ø30mm drill bit

• PH2 screwdriver

Follow these steps for hardware installation of the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2:

1. Drill holes into the mounting surface using a ø5mm bit for the mounting screws and a ø30mm bit for the cable pass-through. Attach the mounting plate to the surface.

2. Connect the necessary cables. You can power the camera using either a 12V DC power source (optional) or through the RJ-45 port via Power over Ethernet (PoE).

3. Attach the camera to the mounting plate and secure it. Ensure the cable gland is properly assembled to maintain the IP66 rating.

On the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2, the Reset button (press for 5 seconds to reset) and the Micro SD card slot are located under a protective cover on the main body of the camera.

To set up the software for the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2:

1. Connect the network camera to a PoE network switch.

2. Run the VIVOTEK Shepherd application to search for the IP location of the camera, then access the camera’s webpage.

3. When logging into the camera’s webpage for the first time, you will need to set a new password according to the on-screen password rules.

4. After successfully logging in, you can view the camera’s live page.

The icon buttons at the bottom of the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2 web page, from left to right, have the following functions:

1. Snapshot: Capture the current picture.

2. Video recording: Manually start recording.

3. Lower the volume: Decreases audio output volume.

4. Increase the volume: Increases audio output volume.

5. Fullscreen: Displays the video feed in fullscreen mode.

When wiring an external relay to the VIVOTEK IB9380-HTV-V2, follow these instructions:

1. The DO+ pin provides a 12V output voltage, and the maximum load is 50mA.

2. The maximum voltage for the DO- pin is 30VDC from an external power source. To control AC devices, a relay must be used to handle the ON/OFF condition of the AC device.

3. An external relay can be triggered either by using the camera’s DO+ pin or by an external power source, depending on the type of relay you use.

4. If you are using an individual relay (not a relay module), a transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode must be connected in parallel with the relay’s inductive load. This protects against voltage or current spikes.

The camera supports several wiring configurations, including:

• Dry contact with an external DC power source to supply a relay.

• Wet contact with an external DC power source to supply a relay.

• Dry contact using the camera’s own DO+ pin to supply a relay.
