How do I set up the UPS?
1. Plug the UPS input cord into a properly wired and grounded outlet.
2. Connect your equipment to the UPS outlets.
3. Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn the UPS on.
4. Charge the batteries for at least 3 hours before extensive use.
What should I do if the UPS does not turn on?
Possible Cause: The Power/Mute button is not pressed.
Corrective Action: Press and hold the Power/Mute button for 3 seconds and then release it to power on the UPS.
What should I do if the UPS operates only in battery mode, even when there is normal AC present, or the Fault icon is illuminated?
Possible Cause 1: UPS input cord is not plugged in or the external AC circuit breaker is tripped.
Corrective Action 1: Ensure the UPS is plugged into a properly wired and grounded outlet. Avoid using extension cords, adapters, or other electrical connectors.
Possible Cause 2: The wall outlet is without electricity due to the tripping of an external AC circuit breaker.
Corrective Action 2: Reset the circuit breaker in the external panel. If the AC circuit breaker trips after UPS starts up, call 1-800-222-5877 for service/warranty replacement.
Possible Cause 3: UPS input circuit breaker is tripped.
Corrective Action 3: Reset the circuit breaker by pressing the plunger back in. If the AC circuit breaker trips after UPS starts up, reduce the load on the UPS.
What does it mean if the Power/Mute button is illuminated red?
Possible Cause: UPS has detected an internal fault.
Corrective Action: Call 1-800-222-5877 for service/warranty replacement.
What should I do if the UPS does not provide the expected runtime?
Possible Cause: The batteries may be fully discharged or at the end of useful service life.
Corrective Action: Charge the batteries for at least 3 hours and retest. If the runtime is still less than expected, check that the UPS is not overloaded.
What should I do if equipment shuts off when the UPS is operating in battery mode?
