The TRISTAR PZ-9131 is an electric hot pot and grill set suitable for cooking different types of food. The central griddle can be used for grilling food. The outer ring can be used for hot pot, frying, fondue or boiling food. The appliance is equipped with a thermostat for easy temperature regulation via the rotary thermostat switch.

This appliance is intended for indoor use only and is exclusively for domestic, not commercial, use. The TRISTAR PZ-9131 is meant to be used in household and similar applications such as:

• staff kitchens in shops, offices and other working environments;

• farm houses;

• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;

• bed and breakfast type environments.

This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Any other use of the appliance is considered improper use and may cause personal injury or damage to the appliance and will void the warranty.

• Only use the appliance as described in the user manual.

• Never use the appliance if there are visible signs of damage or defects. Always replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately.

• Never make any adjustments to the appliance. Adjustments may affect safety, warranty and proper operation.

• Never use the appliance near explosive substances.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids or place it in a dishwasher.

• Never open the appliance. The appliance may only be opened for maintenance by an authorized technician.

• Never handle the appliance by the power cable. Handling the appliance by the power cable may damage the power cable. Only handle the appliance by its base.

• Never replace the power cable yourself. Always let the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person replace the power cable.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Keep the power cable out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Always place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture-resistant surface.

• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Only use the appliance under supervision.

• Switch off the appliance and remove the power cable from the power outlet when you leave the room.

• Never use the appliance on or near other heating objects.

• Always clean all surfaces that come into contact with food after use.

• Never drop the appliance and avoid bumping into it. Excessive vibrations may lead to loose connections and can influence proper functioning. Stop using the appliance if it has been dropped.

• Never use the appliance with an external timer or separate remote-control system.

• Never connect any other appliance with high consumption to the same power outlet.

Parts of the appliance can become hot during use. Only touch the rotary thermostat switch or the handles when using the appliance.

Never move the appliance when it is in use. Always let the appliance cool down after use before handling the appliance.

• Never use aggressive chemical cleaning agents that may damage the appliance when cleaning the appliance.

• Only use original accessories from the manufacturer.

• Never use sharp or metal objects when cleaning the appliance. Sharp or metal objects may damage the non-stick coating of the appliance.

• Never place anything on top of the appliance.

Before first use, clean the griddle, the grease collector, and the hot pot/fryer/fondue/boiling components with a soft, damp cloth.

First, place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat and moisture-resistant surface with at least 15 cm of free space around the appliance. Some noise may occur when using the appliance; this is normal and comes from the heating element of the appliance.

1. Plug the power cable into an electrical outlet.

2. Set the thermostat rotary switch to the desired temperature. The thermostat LED indicator lights up when the appliance is heating.

3. Wait for approximately 5-10 minutes for the appliance to heat up.

The appliance is ready for use when the thermostat LED indicator switches off. The thermostat LED indicator will switch on and off during use, which means the automatic temperature regulation is active.

Clean the appliance after every use.

1. Unplug the power cable from the power outlet.

2. Let the appliance cool down.

3. Unplug the thermostat plug from the appliance.

4. Clean the griddle, the grease collector and the hot pot/fryer/fondue/boiling components with a non-abrasive soft sponge and mild detergent. Very dirty parts of the appliance can be cleaned by rinsing them with hot water to loosen stubborn dirt.

5. Clean the thermostat plug with a soft, dry cloth.

6. Dry all parts with a soft, dry cloth.

2. Let the appliance cool down.

3. Store the appliance in a dry, closed space and in the original packaging to ensure safe storage and protection from dust, moisture or other impurities.
